Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of audio-visual media on students' creative thinking ability in writing descriptive texts. Using a true experimental design with a post-test only control group, the study involved 51 students from classes VA, VB, and VIA at SD Negeri 01 Kromongan. Data analysis showed that the experimental group, which used audio-visual media, obtained a higher average score (79.72) compared to the control group (67.50). The Shapiro-Wilk normality test indicated that the data from both groups were normally distributed (p > 0.05), and the Levene homogeneity of variance test showed homogeneous variances (p = 0.013 > 0.05). The independent t-test revealed a significant difference between the two groups (t = 4.626, p = 0.000 < 0.05), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. These findings demonstrate that audio-visual media has a positive effect on creative thinking ability in writing descriptive texts among fifth-grade.

Abstract

This qualitative study examines the role of parents in character building of children in Tassililu Village, Sinjai Regency, post-COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the study show that although children in Tassililu Village are able to perform religious activities such as praying and reading the Qur'an, and are able to distinguish between good and bad, they still need intensive guidance from their parents in terms of religiosity, discipline, and responsibility. Many children need extra encouragement to carry out their religious activities and duties, and often forget their responsibilities even though they are sometimes able to do homework without being asked. The role of parents as the first and main madrasah for children is very crucial in character building. Parents act as educators, motivators, role models, supervisors, and counselors for their children. Without adequate guidance from parents, children are at risk of having poor or even damaged character. Analysis of supporting and inhibiting factors for character building of children post-COVID-19 in Tassililu Village identified several things. Early habituation, encouragement from parents, and a supportive environment are significant supporting factors. On the other hand, parents' busyness and limited time, the negative influence of digital technology, and a less conducive environment are the main inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews with parents and children, and documentation. These findings highlight the importance of the active role of parents and the environment in building good character in children, especially in the context of post-COVID-19 pandemic challenges.

Abstract

The tradition of wedding offerings on Kangean Island, Sumenep, Madura reflects the complex dynamics of gender relations. This study aims to reveal the representation of patriarchy and forms of female resistance in this tradition, as well as its implications for gender education in society. The approach used is feminist ethnography, with data collection methods including participatory observation and in-depth interviews. The research findings indicate that the sawer tradition represents male dominance through economic and symbolic control, yet simultaneously serves as a space for women to employ various resistance strategies, such as forming social networks and managing financial independence. Although controversial for its portrayal of women as objects of entertainment, this tradition also opens opportunities for critical reflection in gender education. This study makes an important contribution to understanding local cultural practices that can be utilized as teaching materials in developing gender awareness in Madurese society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the effect of the lack of facilities and infrastructure on the learning process in schools in disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions in Indonesia using the literature review method. This method is carried out through the analysis of various literature such as scientific journals, books, policy documents, and relevant previous research reports. The results of the study show that limited facilities and infrastructure, such as inappropriate classrooms, lack of learning media, and limited access to technology, have a significant effect on the low quality of the learning process. Teachers experience obstacles in implementing varied learning methods, while students show decreased motivation and learning outcomes. This study emphasizes the importance of equitable distribution of educational facilities and policy synergy between agencies to support the improvement of the quality of education in the 3T area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan terutama dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Hal ini disebabkan karena, kurangnya pemahaman dan kesiapan pendidik dalam merancang dan melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Bagaimana strategi implementasi P5 berbasis kearifan lokal dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis peserta didik, (2) Apa saja faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi strategi implementasi P5 berbasis kearifan lokal dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis peserta didik, (3) Bagaimana solusi agar strategi Implementasi P5 berbasis kearifan lokal berjalan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, strategi implementasi P5 berbasis kearifan lokal berperan penting untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik, Strategi ini dirancang secara terstruktur dengan memanfaatkan potensi lokal sebagai sumber belajar yang kontekstual, sehingga menciptakan pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kehidupan nyata peserta didik. Meskipun masih terdapat kendala dalam pelaksanaanya, secara keseluruhan strategi ini mampu memberikan dampak positif bagi guru dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta didik, menumbuhkan rasa kepedulian terhadap budaya lokal, serta meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui pembelajaran yang bermakna dan kontekstual. Abstract

This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach aimed at providing an in- depth description of the challenges experienced by students in understanding the integrated concept of IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning in Grade 4 at SD Negeri Klampok 01. Referring to the current situation, after conducting observations and interviews with one of the Grade 4 teachers at SD Negeri Klampok 01 who has implemented the IPAS subject under the Merdeka Curriculum, several challenges were identified in delivering integrated IPAS instruction. The data collection techniques used in this study included interviews, observations, and documentation. Based on the findings, it was revealed that students continue to face difficulties in distinguishing and understanding the connection between Natural Science (IPA) and Social Science (IPS) materials presented in an integrated format. These challenges fall into two categories: internal and external obstacles.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) develop learning media in the form of a digital fable story book based on the local wisdom of North Sumatra, and (2) test the feasibility of the media. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), However, this study is limited to the Develop stage in accordance with level 1 R&D. The resulting product is a digital fable story book based on the Local Wisdom of North Sumatra. This media is designed using the Canva and FlipBuilder applications, this media contains three fable stories by linking the local wisdom of North Sumatra and the characteristics of the Malay, Javanese, and Karo tribes and is equipped with illustrations, semi-motion animations, and audio. The subjects in this study were media expert validators, material experts, language experts, and learning experts. The validation results showed the following levels of feasibility: media expert validation with a score of 98% (very feasible), material expert validation with a score of 97% (very feasible), language expert validation with a score of 94% (very feasible). validation of learning experts (class teachers) is 98% (very feasible). From the results obtained an average feasibility of 96.75% included in the category of "very feasible". The results of the study indicate that the digital fable story book based on local wisdom of North Sumatra is declared very feasible as an innovative media in learning Indonesian narrative texts for class III while introducing local cultural values.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar kelas V UPT SD Negeri Doromukti pada mata pelajaran IPAS melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPAS, khususnya pada materi kegiatan ekonomi melalui penggunaan media diorama kegiatan ekonomi. Sebanyak 18 siswa kelas V UPT SDN Doromukti berpartisipasi menjadi subjek pada penelitian ini yang merupakan 9 siswa laki-laki dan 9 siswa perempuan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian PTK yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus di mana setiap siklusnya terdiri dari 4 tahapan yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan tes. Data hasil observasi berupa data deskriptif untuk mengetahui keterlibatan atau aktivitas belajar peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung, sedangkan data tes berupa data kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa penerapan media diorama kegiatan ekonomi menghasilkan nilai rata-rata klasikal 57,77 pada siklus l, dengan sebanyak 7 siswa tuntas dan persentase ketuntasan klasikal (38,88%). Pada siklus ll terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 80 sebanyak 17 siswa tuntas dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal (94%). Penggunaan media diorama mampu mengoptimalkan hasil belajar terkhusus pada materi kegiatan ekonomi pelajaran IPAS kelas V UPT SDN Doromukti tahun ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the profile of students in character development of class VIII A at SMPN 7 Cenrana, Maros Regency; 2) describe the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in character development of class VIII A students at SMPN 7 Cenrana, Maros Regency; and 3) identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of the PAI teachers’ strategies in character development of class VIII A students at SMPN 7 Cenrana, Maros Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative research. The subjects of the study were students of class VIII A, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students of SMP Negeri 7 Cenrana. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results, character development of class VIII A students at SMPN 7 Cenrana was conducted through intrakurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. Intracurricular activities instill moral values through academic subjects, while co-curricular activities strengthen character understanding through direct practice. Extracurricular activities serve as a platform for developing discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. Islamic Religious Education teachers applied strategies such as advice, habituation, modeling, and discipline cultivation in shaping student character. Supporting factors included a religious school environment, parental support, and community culture. Obstacles faced involved limited variety in teaching methods and less supportive family backgrounds. Keywords: Strategy, Islamic Religious Education Teacher, Character, Devel.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess how safety, diversity, inclusivity, and health are integrated into the educational process at SDN 3 Cisantana to assess the learning environment. The issue arose as a result of the increasing need to ensure that schools facilitate social inclusion, psychological safety, and holistic development of students in addition to education. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study to collect data from educators, school administrators, and other staff members through interviews and observations. The results showed that the school has done a good job in creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment in the classroom, which is reinforced by constructive teacher-student relationships and differentiated instruction. The school has excellent infrastructure, a health unit, frequent sporting events, and disaster evacuation simulations. However, there is still room for improvement given the absence of formal written policies related to inclusive education, organized anti-bullying initiatives, and low student participation in health activities, such as student health agents. Although the school has made great strides in creating a positive learning environment, inclusive practices need to be formalized and preventive health education should be enhanced to ensure a safe, welcoming, and health-conscious learning environment.
