Abstract

This research is intended to understand the relationship between learning independence and critical thinking skills with the learning outcomes of IPAS for grade IV students in MIS Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang. The research used was quantitative research with the population dual choleration design in this study was a class IV student of MIS Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang and used a probably sampling technique sample, namely all class IV students totaling 22 students. Data collection techniques used in this study are learning techniques for learning independence and critical thinking skills tests and testing tests of IPAS learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative analysis techniques in the form of learning independence questionnaires, critical thinking skills tests using mean or average, and learning outcomes tests use mean means or averages. The results of the study show that. 1) The level of student learning independence in class IV in MIS Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang with the results of 83.7 with very high criteria; 2) The level of critical thinking skills of students in class IV in MIS Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang. This shows the average value of critical thinking skills of 71.36 with a percentage of 71% high category; 3) The level of student learning outcomes in class IV in MIS Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang. This shows the average value of learning outcomes of 67.7 with a percentage of 67% with a medium category; 4) There is a significant relationship between learning independence and critical thinking skills and IPAS learning outcomes in class IV students of MIS Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang, namely there is a relationship of 0.513 with sufficient choleration which means there is a significant relationship between the three research variables. It can be concluded that Ho was rejected HA was accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the critical reasoning ability and analyze the confidence of students of magnetic material in grade V of SD Negeri Binangun. The learning process carried out by the homeroom teacher of class V still has students who have difficulties in solving problems, when given a spark question, an answer grid must be included so that students can answer. According to the homeroom teacher of class V, sometimes there are students who are not able to respond to the subject matter. The method during the learning process must be accompanied by real examples. This can be seen when students still have difficulty accepting the learning information obtained, have difficulty in inferring from learning and are still embarrassed to express opinions when learning takes place. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subject of this study is grade V students of SD Negeri Binangun with a total of 18 students with a sample of 4 students with a critical reasoning subject sample and 3 students with a confident subject sample, with data collection techniques in this study using observation, test, interview, and documentation methods. The results obtained from students' critical reasoning skills are different, namely in four categories, namely very proficient, proficient, developed, and starting to develop. Meanwhile, students' confidence skills also vary, which are categorized into very well developed, developing, starting to develop, and not yet developing. Positive relationship between critical reasoning skills and self-confidence. Students who have high confidence tend to be more active in critical thinking, asking questions, and finding solutions to given problems. On the other hand, students with low confidence tend to be hesitant in making decisions and less courageous to express their opinions, so their critical thinking skills have not developed properly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of competence and motivation of the driving teacher on teacher performance at SD Negeri Sekecamatan Gandus Palembang. This study is a quantitative study with a partial correlation method. This study was conducted at SD Negeri Sekecamatan Gandus Palembang with 30 driving teachers as respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a significant influence between the competence of the driving teacher on teacher performance with a correlation value of 0.283 with a relationship presentation of 8%, (2) there is a significant influence between the motivation of the driving teacher on teacher performance with a correlation value of 0.446 with a relationship presentation of 19.9%, while (3) there is a significant influence of the competence and motivation of the driving teacher together on teacher performance of 0.522 with a presentation of 27.3% while the remaining 72.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the problems faced by schools related to the implementation of inclusive education. Inclusive education as an educational service system so that all children with special needs are served at the nearest school, in regular classes together with friends of their age. The method in this study uses descriptive. Data were obtained by literature study methods, studying journals and government regulations relevant to this research. The results of this study show that the problems faced by schools in implementing inclusive education include (1) internal problems of children with special needs including physical barriers to mobility, mental, psychological, productivity, socio-economic and obstacles to social function, (2) the awareness of some people and parents who are still not open to accepting the condition of their children with special needs and have an impact on the non-implementation of their educational rights, (3) The next problem of the school, especially from the factor of educators or teachers, is not ready to manage the learning of children with special needs, because they are not graduates of special education. (50 is still low on decent accommodations in schools, such as inclusive resource rooms, children's learning furniture, and other supporting accessibility such as disabled toilets, guiding blocks, wheelchair stairs, and others. Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas tentang Pengaruh Program Gerakan Literasi Membaca dan Menulis (Gemmas) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Baca Tulis Siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan pra eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang yang termasuk memiliki nilai kategori rendah pada kemampuan baca tulis sehingga penelitian ini dikatakan sebagai penelitian purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes (pretest – posttest), selanjutnya teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu berupa uji Paired Sample Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa program Gemmas memiliki pengaruh yang efektif terhadap kemampuan literasi baca tulis pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Hegarmanah yaitu persentase N-Gain sebesar 59,13% > 76% memiliki kategori Cukup Efektif yang diperoleh dari hasil perhitungannya. Dan dapat dilihat dari uji korelasi (2 tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05, ini menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the diorama media of village government tasks in improving the learning outcomes of grade III students of SDN V Surabaya on the material of understanding information related to the residential environment based on RT, RW, and village heads. The PBL model was chosen for its ability to encourage students to think critically in solving problems, while dioramas provide three-dimensional visual representations that help students understand the tasks and roles of government at the village level. The research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with two learning cycles. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the percentage of classical completeness increasing from 54% in the pre-cycle to 75% in the first cycle, and 89% in the second cycle. The grade point average also increased from 68.2 in the pre-cycle to 74.6 in the first cycle, and 82.3 in the second cycle. The application of the diorama-assisted PBL model has been proven to be effective in improving students' understanding of the duties and roles of government at the village level, as well as improving their ability to identify and solve problems related to the residential environment.

Abstract

Effective learning requires discipline, yet there has been a decline in students' discipline. Teachers must prioritize formative assessment in the learning process to enhance student success. Implementing this formative assessment makes it easier for teachers to measure students' learning achievements, enabling them to provide feedback for improvement in future learning processes. The aim of this study is threefold: (1) to understand the importance of applying formative assessment in learning; (2) to understand the steps teachers take when applying formative assessment; and (3) to understand the impact of applying formative assessment on students. This study decisively adopts a qualitative research design with a descriptive approach. Data were collected rigorously through interviews, observations, and document studies, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The results of this study show that formative assessment is important for increasing students' engagement and discipline in learning, as well as helping teachers evaluate the effectiveness of learning during the process. Formative assessment is a powerful tool employed through diverse learning activities that teachers facilitate throughout the educational process. It is vital for enhancing students' learning, as it strengthens their discipline and motivation.

Abstract

The limited ability of students to use Arabic vocabulary communicatively remains a persistent challenge in Arabic language education, particularly within religious-based educational institutions. This study aims to critically examine the implementation of the Communicative Language Teaching approach in enhancing students’ mastery of mufradat (vocabulary) and their communicative competence within the Islamic Studies Program at MAN 1 Probolinggo. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews and document analysis involving teachers, mentors and students. The findings indicate that the integration of Communicative Language Teaching with educational games, daily Arabic language immersion and context-based learning strategies significantly contributes to improved vocabulary acquisition, increased speaking confidence, and enhanced linguistic accuracy in authentic communicative contexts. Moreover, the boarding school environment which facilitates sustained and active language practice emerged as a critical factor in the internalization of the target language. These findings underscore the potential of the Communicative Language Teaching approach as an innovative and transformative pedagogical model that effectively integrates language acquisition, religious values and an engaging learning atmosphere. As a result, students develop into active, confident, and morally grounded communicators in Arabic.

Abstract

This study analyzes learning obstacles in mastering mixed arithmetic operations of whole numbers among fourth-grade elementary school students. The research aims to identify the causes of students’ difficulties and propose effective solutions. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving 27 students and one teacher from a primary school in Tasikmalaya. Data were collected through observations, interviews, document studies, and diagnostic tests. The findings reveal three main learning obstacles: ontogenic, epistemological, and didactic. Ontogenic obstacles stem from students’ cognitive developmental limitations at the concrete operational stage, hindering their understanding of operation sequences. Epistemological obstacles arise from students’ inability to apply concepts flexibly across different contexts, particularly in word problems. Didactic obstacles are linked to conventional teaching methods and limited use of engaging media, leading to low student motivation and conceptual understanding. The diagnostic test results show that 27 students had very low understanding, nine had low, and four had moderate, with no students achieving high or very high levels. These findings highlight the need for contextual, interactive teaching strategies and concrete media to enhance students’ comprehension and engagement. Recommendations include adopting varied teaching approaches and innovative media tailored to students’ cognitive stages to improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Make A Match learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of sixth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two groups: the experimental group, which was taught using the Make A Match model, and the control group, which used conventional methods. The main instrument used was a multiple-choice learning outcomes test, analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, and effect size calculations. The results showed that the pre-test average score of 34.50 increased to 72.93 in the post-test for the experimental group. An effect size of 1.08 indicates a strong impact of the Make A Match model on improving students’ learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that the Make A Match model is effective in enhancing social studies achievement and promoting active student engagement in the learning process.
