Abstract

This study aims to analyze the misuse of standard words in narrative essays written by sixth-grade elementary school students, focusing on morphological aspects, particularly affixation, reduplication, and compound word. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected from 23 narrative texts written by students at SDN Soneyan 02 through a writing assignment themed around the month of Ramadan. The findings revealed various morphological errors. Affixation errors included the omission of affixes and incorrect separation of affixes. Reduplication errors appeared in the use of numerical and symbolic instead of proper repeated forms. In addition, compound word errors were found in the form of incorrectly joined compound words. These findings indicate students' limited understanding of standard word formation rules, influenced by informal language use and low exposure to formal written texts. The study concludes that these errors stem from insufficient conceptual understanding of morphology, the influence of informal communication habits, and a lack of consistent corrective feedback from teachers. This research is limited to morphological errors and suggests that future studies explore syntactic, semantic, or pragmatic aspects for a more comprehensive understanding of students’ linguistic competence.

Abstract

Students' learning motivation for mathematics subjects on fractions tends to be low, which has an impact on student learning outcomes in class. Based on a survey at SDN Cibabat 4, there were students who were less interested in mathematics because it was considered difficult and unpleasant, so it is important to find ways that can increase students' learning motivation. This study aims to measure the learning motivation of mathematics on fractions of grade IV students at SDN Cibabat 4 using the interactive learning media PhET Interactive Simulation. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with collection through a questionnaire that includes six indicators of learning motivation. The subjects of this study were 27 grade IV students. The results of this study indicate that the use of PhET Interactive Simulations media significantly increases students' learning motivation, with an average percentage of motivation reaching 85.97% which is included in the "Very Good" category. These results indicate that PhET Interactive Simulation media is able to create more interactive and interesting learning, so that it can increase student motivation and involvement in learning mathematics on fractions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) terhadap kemampuan membaca inferensial siswa kelas IV di SDN Semanan 05 Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen, yakni Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 58 peserta didik yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok: eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest dan posttest berbentuk soal pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dibandingkan nilai pretest, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak menunjukkan peningkatan. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 (< 0,05), yang mengindikasikan bahwa strategi DRTA memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca inferensial siswa. Hasil ini juga diperkuat oleh fakta bahwa siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen lebih aktif dan mampu memahami bacaan secara mandiri. Oleh karena itu, strategi DRTA dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang berguna untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca inferensial di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Chairul Agung Tunny, 2025. Enhancing Students’ Motivation and Learning Outcomes Through the Mind Mapping Model in Pancasila Education at SDN Rappokalling 67/1, Makassar City. Undergraduate Thesis, Department of Primary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Supervisors: Abdul Azis and Rismawati. This research aims to improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes in the subject of Pancasila Education by applying the mind mapping learning model in Class V of SDN Rappokalling 67/1, Makassar. The study was conducted in response to the low motivation and learning results among students, which were attributed to unengaging, teacher-centered teaching methods. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. Instruments used in the research included learning motivation observation sheets and tests for learning outcomes. The results showed that the mind mapping model had a positive impact on student motivation. In the first cycle, 18 students were categorized as having "fair" motivation and 2 students "good." By the second cycle, the results improved significantly, with 3 students reaching the "very good" category and 20 students in the "good" category, while no students were in the lower categories. Regarding learning outcomes, only 8 students (34%) met the mastery criteria in the first cycle, which increased to 21 students (91%) in the second cycle The conclusion is that the mind mapping model is effective in enhancing both learning motivation and outcomes. Teachers are encouraged to adopt this strategy as an alternative method in Pancasila Education to create more engaging and effective learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model based on the Nearpod application on students’ learning interest in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at MAN 2 Majalengka. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two tenth-grade classes, each with 35 students. The data collection instrument was a learning interest questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed a significant increase in learning interest in the experimental group after being taught using the CTL model supported by Nearpod. The t-test results indicated a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), meaning there was a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The increase was observed in four aspects of learning interest: attention, engagement, interest, and enjoyment. This study concludes that the implementation of the CTL model using Nearpod is effective in enhancing students’ interest in learning PAI and can serve as an alternative interactive and contextual technology-based learning strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine various factors that influence student learning outcomes based on a review of previous research literature. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review method by collecting data from credible scientific journals. The findings of this study indicate that: 1. Positive internal factors include motivation, interest in learning, and students’ physical-psychological condition. 2. Positive external factors consist of parental support, teachers’ teaching methods, and the learning environment. 3. Negative internal factors include anxiety, low self-confidence, and health problems. 4. Negative external factors comprise family economic issues, unsupportive peer groups, and less engaging learning strategies. 5. Student learning success is significantly influenced by a combination of internal and external factors simultaneously.

Abstract

Haul Karuhun is an annual commemoration carried out by most Javanese communities, including the Sundanese community, especially in Cipongkor sub-district, West Bandung district, as a form of respect and prayer to the ancestors (karuhun) who have died. This study aims to describe analytically the value of gotong royong contained in Haul Karuhun in Cipongkor sub-district, West Bandung district. The method used is descriptive analytical through literature and field studies, with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the Haul Karuhun contains the value of gotong royong which includes the value of respect for ancestors (karuhun), togetherness, harmonisation, friendship, solidarity, spirituality, gratitude, and preservation of traditions and culture. In the context of basic education, the value of gotong royong in Haul Karuhun can be used as a foundation for character education.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Tangram-assisted Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) learning approach on improving students' spatial sense abilities in elementary schools. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of 46 students consisting of 23 experimental class students who applied the Concrete Pictorial Abstract learning approach assisted by Tangram and 23 control class students who applied the scientific learning approach at SDN 4 Nagrikaler. This research collects data using tests, namely pretest and posttest, as well as documentation as non-test data. The results of the research showed that the increase in spatial sense abilities of students who received learning using the tangram-assisted CPA approach was better than students who received learning using the scientific approach. This research also provides a positive influence in using the tangram-assisted CPA approach on students' spatial sense abilities. So the tangram-assisted CPA approach can be an alternative used to improve students' spatial sense abilities and can be used in learning, especially for grade 4 students, on flat shapes. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mereview literatur terkait penggunaan simulasi fisika dalam pembelajaran fisika di SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan jenis narrative literature review (NLR) yang disusun secara eksplisit, sistematis dan replicable yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis hasil penelitian terdahulu. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara trianggulasi (gabungan) berupa kajian pustaka dari ilmiah, jurnal dan sumber literatur relevan lainnya. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif-induktif untuk mengevaluasi potensi dan kegunaan media dalam pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan simulasi fisika seperti PhET Simulation, Physic Classroom, Crocodile Physics, Olabs dan Modellus mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa yang abstrak, keterampilan proses sains serta motivasi belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, simulasi fisika terbukti menjadi inovasi pembelajaran yang potensial dalam mendukung pembelajaran fisika yang interaktif, menarik dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Education is a dynamic and complex process that not only serves as a means of transferring knowledge, but also as a platform for developing skills, attitudes, and values to shape quality human resources. The Merdeka Curriculum is an innovative effort to provide flexibility for educators and students in the learning process, emphasizing the importance of character and competency development. One approach that supports the successful implementation of this curriculum is the use of Student Worksheets (LKPD). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using LKPD in increasing student motivation and engagement in Science (IPA) learning in fourth-grade elementary school. The method used is qualitative research through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the active use of LKPD encourages student participation in discussions and experiments, as well as increasing their motivation and self-confidence. Teachers stated that LKPD facilitates the learning process and encourages students to think critically and creatively. These findings are reinforced by Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which explains that learning motivation will increase if students' basic needs up to self-actualization are met. LKPD designed in a contextual, gradual, and interactive manner has proven capable of meeting these needs. Thus, LKPD can serve as a stimulus in enhancing students' learning motivation while also functioning as an effective and enjoyable learning medium in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.
