Abstract

This study examined the use of Wordwall as a digital tool to improve vocabulary learning and student engagement among seventh-grade students of SMPN 29 Pontianak in the academic year 2024/2025. Conducted through Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles, data were collected using several instruments, namely vocabulary tests to measure students’ vocabulary mastery, observation checklists to monitor classroom activities and engagement, and questionnaires to capture students’ perceptions and responses. The findings showed a clear improvement in students’ vocabulary achievement, with the mean score rising from 57.64 in Cycle I to 88.27 in Cycle II. Wordwall supported this progress through interactive activities such as matching games, word searches, and sentence completion, which provided repeated exposure, feedback, and meaningful practice. Students also responded positively, showing greater motivation, enthusiasm, and participation during lessons. In conclusion, integrating Wordwall not only improved vocabulary outcomes but also fostered a more engaging and motivating classroom environment, highlighting its potential as a useful tool in English vocabulary instruction.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourthgrade students of SDN Ngadirejo 2 in the subject of Natural Sciences on the materialof the function and types of plant body parts through the STAD type cooperativelearning model assisted by the interactive website media Porita.com. This researchwas conducted in two cycles using the Kemmis and McTaggart model with thestages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were15 students. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, testsand interviews. The criteria for successful learning outcomes were determinedbased on the KKM value of 70. The results of the study showed that the increaseoccurred from the pre-cycle stage, cycle I and cycle II with successive presentationsfrom 54%, rising to 73% to 100%. The increase in the achievement of the KKM valueindicates that the use of the STAD model assisted by the interactive website mediaPorita.com is effective in improving the learning process and outcomes.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing prevalence of bullying, both directly and through social media, which occurs not only in formal schools but also in Buddhist Sunday Schools (Sekolah Minggu Buddha/SMB). Such phenomena cause intimidation, discrimination, and trauma that disrupt the learning process and contradict Buddhist values emphasizing loving-kindness and self-restraint. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the values of Hiri (a sense of shame in committing wrongdoing) and Ottappa (fear of the consequences of misconduct) as efforts to prevent bullying at SMB Aman Sejahtera Semparuk. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with participants consisting of three teachers, three parents, and seven students. Data were collected through interviews with a total of thirteen respondents. The findings reveal three key points. First, teachers consistently instill the concepts of Hiri and Ottappa in the learning process as a preventive measure against bullying. Second, these values are implemented through advice, habituation, and character strengthening in classroom activities. Third, their application has proven effective in transforming students’ behavior positively and reducing bullying incidents within SMB. Therefore, Hiri and Ottappa serve as ethical-religious approaches that are relevant for character formation and for preventing bullying, both in Buddhist Sunday Schools and in formal educational settings.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the Problem BasedLearning (PBL) learning model on the activities and learning outcomes of studentsin grade XI of Science at SMA Negeri 8 Medan T.P 2024/2025 on colloid systemmaterials. The sample of this study is 36 students in class XI-8 as an experimentalclass using the Problem Based Learning learning model and 30 students in classXI-2 as a control class using the conventional model. Data collection techniques arecarried out through observation, objective tests, and documentation. The researchdesign used was Two Groups (Pretest and Posttest). The results of the study showthat there is a positive and significant influence of the Problem Based Learninglearning model on the activities and learning outcomes of chemistry students ingrade XI Science of SMA Negeri 8 Medan T.P 2024/2025. This can be seen fromthe average value of activities and learning outcomes of the experimental class,which is 82.29 and 81.67, while the average activity and learning outcomes of thecontrol class are 74.17 and 79.17. 2. Then, tcalculated for the learning activities of theexperimental class is 11,262 > ttable, which is 1.6696. Likewise, for the learningoutcomes of the experimental class, the calculation is 3,439 > ttable, which is 1,669.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) pada siswa kelas V. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya capaian hasil belajar siswa akibat keterbatasan media interaktif yang digunakan di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experiment tipe non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian ini membandingkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan media Augmented Reality (AR) dan kelompok kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar (pre-test dan post-test), angket respon siswa, dan observasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada rata-rata nilai post-test kelompok eksperimen (85,18) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (42,86).Analisis statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan Mann-Whitney menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok, dengan nilai signifikansi p<0,05. Selain itu, skor N-Gain kelompok eksperimen (0,54) berada pada kategori sedang, jauh lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol (0,10) yang berada pada kategori rendah. Respon siswa terhadap media Augmented Reality (AR) juga sangat positif, menunjukkan peningkatan minat, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman materi. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Augmented Reality (AR) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menarik. Temuan ini merekomendasikan integrasi teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) sebagai solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students' learning outcomes in the science concept of force for fourth-grade students at SD Kristen Patti. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology with 19 students as the subjects. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and observation sheets on teacher and student activities during the learning process. The research procedure consisted of two cycles including planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning model could improve students' learning outcomes in the science concept of force. This is evidenced by the increasing average test scores from the initial condition of only 51.11%, rising to 71.29% in cycle I, and reaching 78.52% in cycle II. Furthermore, the students' classical completeness also improved significantly in each cycle, with all students in cycle II achieving completeness according to the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of 60. The application of this model also enhanced students' activeness and involvement in the learning process through group discussions and practicum activities. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model is effective in improving learning outcomes of the science force concept for fourth-grade students at SD Kristen Patti.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of student participation in the Red CrossYouth (Palang Merah Remaja or PMR) extracurricular activity at SMA N 13 Padang.PMR serves as a forum for fostering social and humanitarian values amongstudents. However, data show that the number of PMR participants is relatively lowcompared to other extracurricular activities. The purpose of this study is to describeand understand the factors contributing to the low level of student participation inPMR. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Datawere collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis.The informants consisted of active and passive PMR members, students involvedin other extracurricular activities, the PMR advisor, and the vice principal for studentaffairs. The theoretical framework used was B.F. Skinner’s behaviorist theory. Thefindings indicate that the factors causing low student participation in PMR fall intotwo categories: internal and external. Internal factors include low personalmotivation, difficulty managing time, and feelings of being unappreciated. Externalfactors include the perception that PMR is an extracurricular activity for females, thesuboptimal involvement of the advisor, and inconsistent training schedules. Thesefactors collectively influence students’ decisions to be inactive or not to participatein PMR activities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore teachers’ perspectives and challenges in integratinglocal wisdom into Civics Education (PPKn) learning at SMPN 21 Mataram. Using aqualitative descriptive method, the research involved four informants: a Civicsteacher, the principal, the vice principal of curriculum and students. Data werecollected through interviews, observation and documentation and analyzed usingMiles, Huberman and Saldana’s interactive model. The findings indicate thatteachers perceive local wisdom as essential for contextualizing PPKn learning andstrengthening students’ character values. Local traditions such as Bau Nyale andPeresean were integrated as learning resources to internalize Pancasila values.However, challenges include limited teaching materials, time constraints and thedifficulty of aligning all PPKn topics with local cultural contexts. The studyconcludes that integrating local wisdom enriches Civics Education but requiresadequate support, innovative strategies and collaborative efforts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis alam tumbuhan yang layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi sains anak kelompok B di TK Angkasa Lanud Zam Rembiga. Metode penelitian menerapkan model Borg and Gall dengan 10 tahapan: (1) penelitan dan pengumpulan data, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) uji coba produk awal, (5) merevisi hasil uji coba produk awal, (6) uji coba lapangan utama, (7) penyempurnaan produk, (8) uji efektivitas, (9) penyempurnaan produk akhir, (10) diseminasi dan sosialisasi.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi 19 anak kelompok B, angket, dokumentasi, dan kelayakan produk ditentukan melalui penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis alam tumbuhan, dengan sub topik tanaman hias, dinyatakan sangat layak untuk mengembangkan literasi sains AUD. Penilaian dari ahli materi memperoleh persentase kelayakan 91% dan ahli media sebesar 90%, sehingga keduanya masuk kategori sangat layak. Kemudian untuk mengetahui efektivitas produk media bahan ajar berbasis alam tumbuhan, dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan perhitungan efektivitas menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test anak kelompok B di Lembaga anak usia dini. Maka bahan ajar berbasis alam tumbuhan efektif digunakan untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan literasi sains anak kelompok B. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengembangan dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis alam tumbuhan layak dan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran AUD untuk mengembangkan literasi sains yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Jigsaw Type cooperative learningmodel to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD InpresKokwari. This research is a class action research (PTK), the subject of this researchis the fifth grade students of SD Inpres Kokwari totalling 15 students, the object ofresearch is the learning outcomes of students by using the Jigsa Type Cooperativelearning model, while the instruments used are observation sheets and tests. Thedata analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Theresults showed that the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD InpresKokwari in cycle I and cycle II increased after implementing learning activities usingthe Jigsaw Tips Cooperative learning model. The increase in learning outcomes isevidenced by the average score in the initial test of 60, cycle I increased to 68.6 andcycle II increased to 82.6
