Abstract

Child-friendly mathematics learning is urgent in strengthening collaborative skills. A child-friendly approach encourages students to engage in deep conceptual communication. Collaboration has become increasingly important due to rapid global changes. This study aims to: 1) describe the culture of students learning with mathematics teachers, 2) describe the culture of students learning with peers in mathematics, and 3) explore the culture of students' independent learning in mathematics. This is a qualitative-ethnographic study conducted at Muhammadiyah Elementary School in Surakarta City, Central Java, from March to June 2025. The research data include both primary and secondary sources. Research subjects consist of the principal, teachers, and fifth-grade students at the research site. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and document analysis. The researcher served as the key instrument. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. Data were analyzed inductively. The findings reveal: 1) the implementation of child-friendly strategies by mathematics teachers has transformed the student learning culture with teachers to become more active, reflective, and collaborative, thereby strengthening collaboration; 2) an enjoyable learning culture was developed through child-friendly approaches to support collaboration enhancement. The success of collaboration heavily depends on the teacher as facilitator, the provision of challenging tasks, and process-based assessment; and 3) child-friendly mathematics learning promotes a culture of independent learning and supports collaboration. The role of teachers and professional support are critical to sustaining the transformation of the collaborative learning culture.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth grade students ofSDN 007 Samarinda Ulu, especially in the Arts and Culture subject. The purpose ofthis research is to determine the improvement in the learning outcomes of Arts andCulture on the Recycling of Used Paper Material by Using Experiment-BasedLearning Methods for Fifth Grade Students at SDN 007 Samarinda Ulu in the2024/2025 Academic Year.This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is conducted intwo cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The procedure of this researchconsists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection.The subjects in this study were 21 students of class V A SDN 007 Samarinda Uluand the object of this research was the results of learning Arts and Culture usingexperimental-based learning methods. Data collection techniques in this study usedobservation, tests and documentation. The instruments in this study used teacheractivity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets and student learningoutcome test sheets. The data analysis techniques in this study used averagevalues, percentages and diagrams.The results of the study showed an increase in the average value of students fromthe pre-cycle value of students 54.57 with a percentage of completion of 39%. Student learning outcomes in cycle I experienced an increase of 15% from the pre-cycle baseline value, with an average class value of 64.76 with a percentage of completion of 52%. Cycle II learning outcomes experienced an increase of 39.17%from the pre-cycle baseline value, with an average value of 75.95 with a percentageof completion of 85.71% with 18 students completing and 3 students not completing,and achieving more than the expected success indicator of 75%. Based on theresults of the study, it can be concluded that there was an increase in the learningoutcomes of Arts and Culture on the material of Recycling Used Paper UsingExperiment-Based Learning Methods in Class V A Students of SDN 007 SamarindaUlu in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of thetoken economy method on improving the discipline of group A children atKindergarten Kreativa Mataram. In the Kindergarten Kreativa, positive behavior isreinforced in children by giving rewards in the form of verbal awards, namely praisefrom teachers. Awards are not only verbal, but there are also non-verbal ones, oneof which is with economic tokens. Therefore, in-depth research is needed to identifythe extent to which this token economy method can be effectively applied in thecontext of this preschool education. The approach used in this study is a quantitativeapproach with the type of research used, namely Quasi-experimental: One-GroupPretest-Posttest design, which is a group measured and observed before and aftertreatment. The data collection technique used is the Observation method using aLikert scale and documentation methods. The subjects of this study were 11 childrenin group A at Kindergarten Kreativa Mataram. The results of the pre-test beforegiving economic token treatment, discipline in children was 39.81% and after givingeconomic token treatment, the level of discipline in children increased to 80.27% soit can be concluded that there is an influence of the economic token method onincreasing the discipline of group A children at Kindergarten Kreativa Mataram.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan membaca siswa kelas satu di sekolah dasar. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam studi ini melibatkan analisis serta perbandingan efek dari permainan edukatif terhadap murid kelas satu dengan memanfaatkan media cetak dan keterampilan membaca dan menulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca awal siswa kelas satu. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat 32 partisipan yang terdiri atas 16 siswa perempuan dan 16 siswa laki-laki, termasuk 1 perempuan dan 3 laki-laki yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus. Analisis data dari tugas yang diberikan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perkembangan yang berarti pada siswa reguler serta siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Data persentase memperlihatkan perbedaan kecil antara kedua kelompok, yaitu siswa laki-laki biasa dengan persentase 32%, siswa laki-laki berkebutuhan khusus 7%, siswa perempuan biasa 36%, dan siswa perempuan berkebutuhan khusus 25%. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa dampak dari permainan edukatif sangat signifikan, di mana 84% siswa setuju dengan pernyataan tersebut, sementara hanya 16% yang tidak setuju. Kesimpulan dari studi ini adalah bahwa penerapan permainan edukatif dalam pembelajaran dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi kemampuan membaca awal anak-anak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of local wisdom values in theGendang Beleq art form in fourth-grade science lessons at SDN 4 Rumbuk, identifyobstacles faced by teachers, and formulate solutions to overcome these obstacles.Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation,semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. Datawere then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the studyindicate that teachers have implemented the values of Gendang Beleq, such asperseverance, discipline, cooperation, enthusiasm, cultural pride, and economicvalues, into the “Indonesiaku Kaya Budaya” (My Indonesia is Rich in Culture)science and studies material through a contextual approach, group discussions,experience sharing, and video screenings. However, this implementation facedseveral obstacles, including students’ lack of direct experience with Gendang Beleqart, limited learning media in the form of concrete demonstrations, a lack of localwisdom material in textbooks, and limited learning time. To overcome theseobstacles, teachers implemented various creative solutions, such as encouraginggroup discussions through “window information” activities, utilizing digital media(videos and images from the internet), focusing learning on relevant core values,independently developing additional teaching materials, and assigning individualand group assignments that connect learning to students' real lives. This studyconcludes that teachers' efforts to integrate Gendang Beleq local wisdomcontextually and adaptively successfully improved students' understanding andcharacter development, despite limited resources and time.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject at SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ulu are still relatively low because learning is dominated by conventional methods. Teachers rely more on lecturing and make little use of engaging media, causing students to become passive. This condition affects the achievement of learning outcomes, which have not yet met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP) of 75. Therefore, innovation through interactive and enjoyable learning media is needed. Cartoon puppet media was chosen because it can present material visually and concretely, as well as facilitate students’ understanding of the story content. This study aims to improve the Indonesian language learning outcomes of grade IV C students through the use of cartoon puppet media in the topic of origin stories. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 27 grade IV C students of SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ulu in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation, while analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively by calculating the mean score and the percentage of student mastery. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes after the application of cartoon puppet media. In the first cycle, the average student score was 68.80 with 62% mastery, while in the second cycle it increased to 81.90 with 86% mastery. In addition, student activity also improved, as seen from higher participation, the ability to answer questions, and the confidence to express opinions.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the problem of low communication skills among fourth-grade students at SDN Cilaku Kota Serang in the social studies subject "Unique Customs of the Community Around Me." This low skill level is thought to be influenced by the lack of use of interesting visual learning media in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using infographics on improving students' communication skills. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the one- group pretest-posttest type. The research subjects consisted of 15 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of an essay test to measure students' communication skills and a questionnaire to collect their responses to the media used. The analysis results showed an improvement in communication skills after the use of infographic media, as indicated by the difference in pretest and posttest scores and moderate N-Gain scores. Additionally, student responses indicated that infographics facilitated understanding of the material and made learning more interesting. It can be concluded that infographic learning media proved to be effective in improving students' communication skills in the material on the uniqueness of the customs of the community around me, and the student response questionnaire met good criteria.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, adaptability and entrepreneurial skills have become increasingly important. This research examines the role of Market Day as an effective method for instilling entrepreneurial values ​​among elementary school students. The study results show that Market Day not only provides practical skills in the business world, but also encourages student character development, including increasing creativity, independence, courage to take risks, and a sense of responsibility. Through hands-on experience in planning, production, marketing, and sales, students gain deeper insight into the world of business as well as improve their social skills, such as communication and teamwork. The findings show that Market Day contributes significantly to the development of entrepreneurial character, preparing students with the skills necessary to face future challenges. However, implementing Market Day also faces various challenges, such as limited resources and the need for support from teachers and parents. Therefore, this research emphasizes the importance of integrating this kind of activity into the school curriculum to form a generation of innovative and responsible entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of Abdullah Nasih Ulwan's method in addressing bullying at MTs Assyifa Jatiagung Lampung Selatan. The applied method includes five main principles: role modeling, good habits, attention, advice, and educational punishment. Through this approach, it is expected to foster empathetic, respectful students and reduce bullying behavior among peers. The results of the study show that the implementation of Ulwan's method is effective in reducing bullying, both verbal and physical. Students previously involved in bullying began to exhibit positive changes in behavior and social interactions. Teachers also reported improvements in the learning environment, which became more conducive to positive interactions. This research confirms that character education based on Islamic values, as applied in Ulwan's method, can be an effective solution to the bullying problem in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of group guidance services using discussion techniques to increase student self-confidence at SMK Negeri 5, Pontianak City. This study used an experimental method with a pre-experimental design and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The data collection technique used was a self-confidence inventory. Data analysis used a parametric paired sample t-test. The results showed that students' pre-test scores had an average percentage of 37.5%, categorized as low, and post-test scores had an average percentage of 79.375%, categorized as high, an increase of 31.88%. The results of the hypothesis test showed a t-value of 7.716 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be interpreted that there was a significant increase after being given group guidance with discussion techniques to increase student self-confidence at SMK Negeri 5, Pontianak City
