Abstract

The current global environmental crisis demands a moral and spiritual approach to restoring ecological balance. Islam, as a religion that emphasizes justice, responsibility, and harmony, offers a comprehensive ethical framework for environmental preservation. This study aims to analyze the fundamental principles of Islamic ecological ethics derived from the Qur’an and Hadith and to explore their relevance to contemporary environmental issues. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, with thematic analysis of Qur’anic verses, Hadiths, and related scholarly literature. The findings reveal that Islamic ecological ethics are grounded in the values of tawhid (the unity of God and creation), khalifah (human responsibility as guardians of the earth), amanah (trust to protect nature), ‘adl (justice), mizan (balance), and wasathiyah (moderation). These principles guide humans to manage natural resources wisely, fairly, and sustainably. In modern contexts, Islamic ecological ethics are highly relevant to promoting sustainable development, environmental education, and public policies oriented toward ecological preservation. Thus, environmental stewardship in Islam is not merely a social duty but also an act of worship and spiritual devotion to Allah SWT. Abstract

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of third-grade students at Ngadikusuman 1 Elementary School through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model combined with Augmented Reality (AR)-based flashcards in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) lessons. This research was prompted by the low critical thinking skills of students as seen from the pre-cycle results, where most students were unable to analyse information, connect concepts, or conclude data accurately in accordance with critical thinking skill indicators. This research used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, with 39 third-grade students as subjects. Each cycle went through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were obtained through HOTS-type written tests designed based on five main indicators of critical thinking skills, namely the ability to analyse, synthesise, solve problems, conclude, and evaluate. The results showed a significant increase in the students' average scores. In the pre-cycle stage, the average critical thinking skills score was 51.15, then increased to 68.74 in cycle I, and reached 82.42 in cycle II. In addition, the percentage of classical mastery also increased to 82% at the end of the action. These findings indicate that the application of the AR-based flashcard-assisted PjBL model is effective in creating more meaningful and interactive learning experiences that encourage students to think more critically. Thus, this model can be used as an alternative learning strategy in efforts to improve the quality of the learning process and outcomes for primary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan interaksi sosial-emosional siswa kelas III SDN Sungai Miai 4 di era digital serta strategi pengembangan kecerdasan sosial emosional (KSE) mereka. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki KSE yang baik yang tercermin dari empati, kemampuan mengelola emosi, dan kerja sama. Interaksi sosial langsung melalui permainan fisik dan tradisional lebih disukai daripada gawai, didorong oleh keterbatasan akses teknologi. Peran guru melalui strategi kelompok acak dan pendekatan reflektif terbukti krusial. Simpulannya, interaksi sosial langsung dan praktik pedagogi yang sadar KSE merupakan fondasi efektif bagi pengembangan kompetensi sosial-emosional anak dalam konteks paparan digital yang terbatas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami lebih dalam tentang pengelolaan kurikulum dalam pendidikan Islam yang menggabungkan ilmu dunia dan ilmu akhirat, serta menemukan tantangan yang muncul saat kurikulum ini diterapkan. Manajemen kurikulum adalah cara mengatur dan menyusun berbagai komponen dalam kurikulum agar tujuan pendidikan bisa tercapai secara seimbang. Dalam pendidikan Islam, manajemen kurikulum tidak hanya berkaitan dengan aspek belajar mengajar, tetapi juga mencakup penggabungan antara ilmu dunia seperti sains, teknologi, dan keterampilan dengan ilmu agama, nilai moral, dan akhlak. Hal ini bertujuan untuk membentuk individu yang beriman dan berakhlak baik sekaligus memiliki pengetahuan. Penggabungan kedua aspek ini merupakan dasar pemikiran utama dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Word Square learning model in improving students’ conceptual understanding in social studies. The study was conducted in two cycles involving observation, documentation, and tests to measure changes in students’ performance and learning engagement. Findings indicate that the implementation of the Word Square model significantly enhanced students’ ability to interpret, exemplify, classify, summarize, compare, and draw conclusions regarding key social studies concepts. Students became more active and involved during group discussions, task completion, and reflection, showing increased motivation and focus. Learning outcomes also improved, as seen in the rise of average scores and mastery percentages across cycles. The Word Square model provided a learning experience that was enjoyable, challenging, and interactive, supporting students’ conceptual development through linguistic and visual engagement. However, several challenges emerged, such as varied student literacy skills, limited time allocation, and the complexity of preparing Word Square grids. These issues can be addressed through better planning, technological integration, and task-level adjustments. Overall, the Word Square model proved effective in strengthening conceptual understanding in social studies and is recommended as an alternative learning strategy. Future research may explore its application across different grade levels, materials, or in combination with other learning models to expand its pedagogical impact.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media manipulatif berbentuk rumah adat Honai Papua sebagai media pembelajaran IPA pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Media ini dirancang untuk mendukung pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme dan kontekstual, serta mendorong pemahaman konsep lingkungan, adaptasi makhluk hidup, dan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam secara bertanggung jawab. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 25 siswa kelas V SD Agape Terpadu di Kabupaten Nabire. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, serta angket validasi ahli dan respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media manipulatif Honai memiliki validitas tinggi (skor rata-rata 89%) dan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penggunaan media juga meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, rasa ingin tahu, serta kemampuan memahami konsep IPA secara kontekstual. Kesimpulan utama menunjukkan bahwa media manipulatif Honai Papua efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif media konkret dalam pembelajaran IPA sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The low reading skill is caused by a monotonous learning process, resulting in very little student interest in learning Arabic. Therefore, to improve students’ comprehension of Arabic texts and their interest in learning, the researcher offers a solution by applying the Know–Want to Know–Learned (KWL) learning method in teaching Arabic to grade XI-I students at Madrasah Aliyah. This study employs a quasi-experimental design with a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design, using Classroom Action Research (CAR) techniques conducted in two phases. The sample of this study consisted of 34 students from grade XI-I of Madrasah Aliyah. Before the implementation, students’ reading comprehension ability in Arabic texts achieved an average mastery score of 29.41%. The results after implementing the KWL method in phase I showed an improvement to 44.11%, an increase of 14.70% from the initial score. In phase II, the score rose significantly to 91.17%, indicating that students had successfully mastered Arabic text comprehension through the KWL method. The results of applying the KWL method in Arabic language learning proved effective in improving students’ understanding of Arabic reading texts (maharah qira’ah) among grade XI-I students.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the effect of the use of mathematics e-modules on student learning outcomes and motivation at the elementary school level through a literature review. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing relevant scientific journal articles within a certain time period. The results of the review indicate that mathematics e-modules, especially those designed interactively and contextually, have significant potential to improve student learning outcomes because they present more engaging, personalized material and provide instant feedback. In addition, student motivation also tends to increase due to the multimedia elements and ease of access offered by e-modules. In conclusion, mathematics e-modules are highly recommended as innovative teaching materials for mathematics learning in elementary schools to optimize student learning outcomes and motivation.

Abstract

Learning problems can be understood as a variety of obstacles, challenges, or constraints that arise during the course of the teaching and learning process and have the potential to reduce the success of achieving educational goals. This study was conducted to examine the various problems experienced by students in the face of learning difficulties that come from external factors, especially related to the teaching methods of teachers at SDN Banaran 4 Sragen. Learning difficulties are one of the disorders that often occur in learning activities and can affect the learning outcomes of learners. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. Research subjects include students and classroom teachers at SDN Banaran 4 Sragen. The results of observations and interviews on several aspects showed an average percentage of 50% with sufficient categories, which means that the learning methods used by teachers are not fully in the very good category. The findings of the study also revealed that one of the external factors that trigger learning difficulties is the less varied and less developed teaching methods of teachers.

Abstract

This study investigates the management of extracurricular activities integrated with the vision of the madrasah as an effort to strengthen the curriculum at MI Al Ikhlas Parakan Kauman, Temanggung. The problem addressed in this research is the lack of alignment between extracurricular programs and the institutional vision, which may lead to activities that are less effective in supporting student character development and curriculum enhancement. This study aims to describe the planning of extracurricular activities aligned with the madrasah vision, analyze their implementation in supporting curriculum strengthening, and explain the evaluation process conducted to ensure program effectiveness. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a case study design, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving principals, teachers, students, and parents. The results show that planning is carried out through systematic coordination and needs analysis, ensuring programs align with the madrasah vision. Implementation runs effectively with structured scheduling, active teacher involvement, and integration of religious and character values in each activity. Evaluation is conducted periodically through meetings, monitoring, and reflective assessments, serving as the basis for program improvement. The study concludes that well-managed extracurricular activities integrated with the institutional vision significantly contribute to strengthening the curriculum and developing students’ academic, spiritual, and social competencies.
