Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen hanya menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest design. Tempat pelaksanaan penelitian di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Gorontalo kelas VIII dengan subjek penelitian kelas VIII B dengan jumlah siswa 29. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar dilakukan berdasarkan penilaian hasil test.  Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji normalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji n-gain. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diketahui harga thitung  dan ttabel pada  kelas VIII B yaitu ttabel 9,41602E-20 dan thitung -23,0583018 maka dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis pada kelas VIII B yaitu thitung < ttabel untuk taraf α = 0.05. Di mana kriteria pengambilan keputusan yaitu Ha diterima atau H0 ditolak. Sehingga keputusan yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Gorontalo. Dilihat dari rata-rata nilai pretest 13,84 dan posttest 52,33 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan menggunakan model discovery learning materi konsep gerak. Berdasarkan pengujian dengan skor nilai gain ternormalisasi (N-Gain) sebesar 0.5 Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning berpengaruh positif dengan n-gain kriteria sedang. Kata kunci: discovery learning; hasil belajar siswa ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning model on students’ cognitive learning outcomes. The research uses only one experimental class with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in grade VIII at SMP Muhammaduyah 3 Gorontalo City. The research subjects are students in grade VIII B totaling 29 students. The collection of data on learning outcomes was carried out based on the assessment of test results. Research data analysis used the normality test,hypotesis testing, and N-Gain test. Based on the hypothesis testing, it is found that the value t-table in grade VIII B is 9,41602E-20 and the t-count is -23,0583018. Based on the hypothesis testing in grade VIII B, the c-count > t-table at a level of  = 0,05. Therefore, h0 is accepted, and h1 is rejected. In other words, the discovery learning model influences students’ cognitive learning outcomes in grade VIII B of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gorontalo City. Based on the average pretest score of 13,84 and posttest of 52,33, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student’s cognitive learning outcomes using the discovery learning model on the concept of motion material. Based on testing with a normalized gain (N-Gain) score of 0,5. This shows that learning using the discovery learning model positively influences moderate N-Gain criteria. Keywords: discovery learning; students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Development of a modern physics practicum guide on circular iris diffraction material to calculate the He-Ne laser wavelength using the Flip PDF Professional application. To determine student perceptions, as well as the feasibility of developing a modern physics practicum guide on circular iris diffraction material to calculate the He-Ne laser wavelength using the Flip PDF Professional application. This research was carried out using research and development (R&D) methods. R&D is a research method used to produce certain products, and test the effectiveness of these products. In this research, the product produced is a practical guide on circular iris diffraction material using a He-Ne laser, to calculate wavelengths which are expected to increase interest in learning and understanding of modern physics concepts for students. The result of this development is an e-guide to modern physics practicum on circular iris diffraction material to calculate He-Ne laser wavelengths using the Flip PDF Professional application.This electronic practicum e-guide was developed using the 4 (D) model which consists of 4 stages, namely the define stage, design stage, develop stage and disseminate stage. The development of a modern physics e-guide using Flip PDF Professional on material measuring He-Ne laser wavelengths with a circular iris diffraction pattern was carried out to assist students in understanding the learning material so that they were able to understand the practical material on measuring He-Ne laser wavelengths with a circular iris diffraction pattern Before the e-guide was developed, a preliminary study was carried out to determine the basis for developing the e-guide for modern physics. For student responses, the average score was 3.86 and a percentage of 96% was in the very good category. The media validation results got an average of 3.13 in the very good category, for material expert validation they got a very good category with an average of 4. So the guide created in the category is suitable for use.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the relationship between critical thinking skills and the decision-making skills of prospective physics teacher students. This research is correlational or relationshipal, and it is ex post facto research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was all first-semester students, totaling 99 students at one of the universities in South Sulawesi. The sample used in this research was 76 students, taken using convenience sampling. The results of the research show that there is a positive correlation between critical thinking skills and the decision-making skills of prospective physics teacher students, with a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.549 at a medium level and a coefficient of determination of 30.1%. Thus, if a student's critical thinking skills are high, the higher their decision-making skills, or vice versa, the lower the student's critical thinking skills, the lower their decision-making skills.

Abstract

ABSTRAKFokus permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode pra-experimen. Desain penelitian adalah one group design pre-test post-test. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah 1) Seberapa besar motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik sebelum diterapkan asesmen berbasis Kahoot?; 2) Seberapa besar motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik setelah diterapkan asesmen berbasis Kahoot?; 3) Seberapa besar peningkatan motivasi belajar fisika  peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan asesmen berbasis Kahoot?. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 4 Takalar. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 32 peserta didik kelas X MIA 2 di SMA Negeri 4 Takalar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  data pretest  motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 102,13  berada pada kategori sedang. Sedangkan hasil data post-test  yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 126,50 berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil uji N-gain score menunjukkan nilai sebesar 0,5 berada pada kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan asesmen berbasis kahoot efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu inovasi dalam pembelajaran fisika sehingga peserta didik tidak mudah bosan dan jauh lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: asesmen; kahoot; motivasi belajar. ABSTRACTThe focus of the problem in this research is the low learning motivation of students in learning physics. This research is quantitative research using pre-experimental methods. The research design is a group design pre-test and post-test. The formulation of the research problem is 1) How big is the student's motivation to learn physics before implementing the Kahoot-based assessment?; 2) How big is the student's motivation to learn physics after implementing the Kahoot-based assessment?; 3) How big is the increase in students' motivation to learn physics before and after implementing the Kahoot-based assessment? The population of this study was class X MIA students at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar. The sample for this research consisted of 32 students from class X MIA 2 at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar. The research results show that the pretest data on students' physics learning motivation has an average score of 102.13, which is in the medium category. Meanwhile, the results of the post-test data obtained were 126.50, which is in the very high category. The N-gain score test results show a value of 0.5 which is in the medium category. This shows that the use of Kahoot-based assessment is effective in increasing students' motivation to learn physics. It is hoped that the results of this research can become an innovation in physics learning so that students do not get bored easily and are much more active in learning. Keywords: assessment; kahoot; learning motivation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTeknologi yang dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran akan lebih baik jika dihubungkan dengan kearifan lokal, salah satunya yakni penggunaan media pembelajaran berbantuan aplikasi flippingbook berbasis Kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kualitas (Validitas, Kepraktisan dan keefektifan) pengembangan media flippingbook pdi SMP Negeri 3 Kabila. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan pengembangan model  ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Hasil nilai rata-rata validasi sebesar 3,69 dan berada pada kategori “valid”; (2) Aspek Kepraktisan ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan respon peserta didik. Persentase rata-rata keterlaksanaan pembelajaran selama 3 pertemuan diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 85% dengan kriteria “Baik” dan hasil rata-rata persentase dari angket respon peserta didik untuk keempat aspek diperoleh hasil rata-rata persentase untuk pernyataan positif sebesar 83% dan berada pada kriteria “Baik”; (3) Aspek keefektifan hanya ditinjau dari aktivitas peserta didik yang diperoleh persentase aktivitas peserta didik  sebesar 85% dengan kriteria “Baik”. Maka, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kualitas Media Flippingbook berbasis Kearifan Lokal yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Kata kunci: pengembangan; kearifan lokal; media flippingbook ABSTRACTTechnology developed in learning will be better if connected to local wisdom, one of which is the use of assisted learning media applications based on local wisdom. This research aims to describe the quality (Validity, Practicality, and Effectiveness) of the development of the flippingbook media  at SMP Negeri 3 Kabila. This research is a type of development research (R&D) with the development of ADDIE models (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of the study showed that (1) The average validation value is 3.69 and is in the “valid” category; (2) The practical aspects are reviewed from the implementation of learning and response of students. The average percentage of learning implementation for meetings 1-3 is  85% with the criteria “ Good ” and the average percentage of student response questionnaires for the four is 83% and is in the “ Good ” criteria; (3) The effectiveness aspect is reviewed from students activities and obtain  an average student activity score 85% with criteria “ Good ”. So, the conclusion was obtained that the quality of the Local Wisdom-based Flippingbook Media is valid, practical and effective for use in classroom learning. Keywords: development; local wisdom; media flippingbook

Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of the Questions Student Have learning model assisted by interactive poster media on learning outcomes in the cognitive science domain of fifth grade elementary school students. The type of research used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design, and a post-test only control group design. The population of this research was class V students at SDN 84 Singkawang, totaling 43 students using a saturated sampling technique so that the sample used was 43 students consisting of VA as the control class and VB as the experimental class. The data collection technique used in this research is a test technique in the form of a cognitive domain learning outcomes test and a non-test in the form of a student response questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis in the form of independent sample t-test, effect size and descriptive percentage. The results of the research show that: (1) There are differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes in science learning in class V elementary school between classes that use the Questions Student Have learning model assisted by interactive poster media and classes that use direct learning. This is shown by the significance level between the experimental classes of 0.002 > 0.05. (2) The Questions Student Have learning model assisted by interactive poster media has a high influence on students' cognitive learning outcomes in science learning in class V elementary school. This is shown by the Effect Size results of 0.993. (3) Positive student responses to the Questions Students Have learning model in science learning in fifth grade elementary school. This is shown from the calculations that the percentage of student responses of 80.5% is included in the very good category. So the conclusion of this research shows that there is an influence of the Questions Student Have learning model assisted by interactive poster media on learning outcomes in the cognitive science domain of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMasalah utama yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya penguasaan konsep siswa terhadap materi Tekanan Hidrostatik, yang menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan untuk memperbaiki metode pembelajaran yang ada. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi tekanan hidrostatis setelah diajarkan dengan model problem based learning di SMK Darul Wustha Jerowaru. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester Genap tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methods desain embedded experimental model. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 28 siswa kelas X SMK Darul Wustha Jerowaru. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari silabus, RPP, LKS, tes penguasaan konsep, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan protokol wawancara. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi test, observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif meliputi N-Gain, uji t berpasangan, dan effect size untuk melihat besar pengaruh pembelajaran. Sementara data kualitatif dianalisis dengan data reduction, coding, data display, conclusion drawing/verivication. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi tekanan hidrostatis melalui pembelajaran model problem based learning mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan N-Gain skor rata-rata sebesar 0,69 (kategori sedang), dan nilai effect size sebesar 6,2 (kategori kuat); (2) sebagian besar siswa dapat mengubah konsepsi-konsepsinya yang salah pada saat posttest. Pada materi tekanan hidrostatis sebagian besar siswa menganggap tekanan hidrostatis dipengaruhi oleh volume air dan bentuk bejana, namun pada saat postest sebagian besar siswa mampu mengubah konsepsinya menuju konsepsi yang sesuai dengan konsep tekanan hidrostatis yaitu tekanan hidrostatis dipengaruhi oleh massa jenis dan kedalaman. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa model problem based learning dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi tekanan hidrostatis. Kata Kunci: penguasaan konsep; problem based learning; tekanan hidrostatis. ABSTRACTThe main problem underlying this research is the low mastery of students' concepts in the topic of Hydrostatic Pressure, indicating a need to improve existing teaching methods. The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in students' concept mastery in the topic of hydrostatic pressure after being taught using the problem-based learning model at Darul Wustha Vocational School Jerowaru. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used is a mixed methods design with an embedded experimental model. The subjects in this study consisted of 28 students from class X at Darul Wustha Vocational School Jerowaru. Research instruments included syllabi, lesson plans, worksheets, concept mastery tests, learning implementation observation sheets, and interview protocols. Data collection methods included tests, observations, and interviews. Quantitative data analysis techniques included N-Gain, paired t-tests, and effect size to assess the magnitude of the learning effect. Meanwhile, qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, coding, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results indicate that: (1) Students' mastery of the concept of hydrostatic pressure through problem-based learning showed a significant improvement, with an average N-Gain score of 0.69 (moderate category) and an effect size value of 6.2 (strong category); (2) Most students were able to correct their misconceptions during the post-test. In the topic of hydrostatic pressure, most students initially believed that hydrostatic pressure was influenced by the volume of water and the shape of the container. However, after the post-test, most students were able to adjust their concepts to align with the concept of hydrostatic pressure, which is influenced by density and depth. This condition demonstrates that the problem-based learning model can enhance students' concept mastery in the topic of hydrostatic pressure. Keywords : concept mastery; problem based learning; hydrostatic pressure

Abstract

This research is important to carry out the learning achievements (CPL) of the mandatory physics education study program in developing 21st century skills, especially science process skills (KPS). Apart from that, the practicum function which is still valid today in the FKIP UMMAT physics education study program has not been able to train KPS students well because the design of practicum activities has not been based on science processes and problem based learning (PBL), causing KPS students to not be able to improve. This research will produce an innovative practicum learning method to improve KPS in a concrete and structured manner. The aim of this research is to design a practical program for the Vibration concept which is outlined in the form of a practical activity sheet (LKPR) and a KPS assessment instrument with the target of improving the science process skills (KPS) of physics education students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) through the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) process which begins with analyzing problems, needs and solutions; designing LKPR and assessment instruments, then validating and testing on a small scale and evaluating the product for further revision and implementation. The KPS pretest and posttest quantitative data were analyzed using inferential statistics and the normalized gain test to determine the KPS improvement category. Data analysis using the help of Ms. software. Excel and IBM SPSS v.23. It was concluded that the practicum design had the characteristics of applying a problem-based model, oriented towards laboratory investigation activities, using traditional musical instruments and computer-smartphone technology devices through three phases and six stages. The practicum program has had a significant impact in increasing student KPS which shows a significant increase in all aspects of KPS. Students give positive responses to the practicum program because it can practice science process skills.

Abstract

Merdeka Curriculum is designed to meet the challenges of 21st-century skills, focusing on student development, thus requiring differentiated teaching materials that accommodate students' interests and learning styles. This research aims to develop a differentiated e-module using the AppYet application on measurement material for X IPAS 1 students at Taruna high school in Medan, which is feasible, practical, and effective. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model that includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The research subjects were 20 students in class X IPAS 1 at Taruna high school . The research instruments used were validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, and validated test questions. The data analysis technique used the Likert scale to determine feasibility and practicality, and the N-gain to determine the effectiveness of the e-module. The results showed that the developed e-module was highly feasible, validated by material, media, and language experts, with an overall average of 85.92%. The practicality obtained from student responses in the large group test, was 87.35%, categorized as very practical, while the responses from the physics teacher were 90.3%, also categorized as very practical. The effectiveness of the e-module, determined using the N-gain based on pre-test and post-test results, was 0.774 or 77.4%, indicating that the e-module is effective for use in learning activities. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the developed e-module is proven to be highly feasible, practical, and effective, thus facilitating more structured and organized learning by providing content tailored to the learning styles of each student.

Understanding abstract physics theories, such as energy, can be challenging for students. Teachers also face the difficulty of meeting learning objectives within limited classroom time. The purpose of this research is to develop physics learning media to teach high school students about renewable energy. The learning media is presented as virtual reality, focusing on the energy conversion process in hydroelectric power plants. The goal is for students to apply their understanding of energy conversion concepts in hydroelectric power plants as one type of renewable energy source. The research process follows the ADDIE model, focusing on the analysis, design, and development stages. Data is collected through validation sheets completed by media experts, which provide valuable suggestions for revisions. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. It is known that at this level of education, the cognitive level required for understanding renewable energy material is C4 according to the revised Bloom's taxonomy. At the design stage, storyboards are used to frame the media development process, comprising a problem orientation scene and an exploration scene. After development, the VIRRIC media was validated based on visual aspects, interest, usefulness, accuracy, legitimacy, and structure. The final media expert validation score for the VIRRIC media is 0.87, categorized as highly valid. The lowest score was in the visual aspect, which was 0.77. This was due to some text information in the media being difficult to read. The text is observable when not using a gyro device, but becomes difficult to read when observed using a gyro device. Based on these results, the VIRRIC media is deemed suitable for testing in learning after making improvements.
