Abstract

Language is a very important thing for human around the world because language is used in all aspects of human life. People use language to communicate with each other and to get knowledge. The objective of this research is to find out the influence of using group task as a technique in teaching writing ability at SMP level. The writer conducted the research at the first semester of the eighth class of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Way Sulan South Lampung in 2017/2018. There were two classes namely class VIIIA for experimental class and class VIIIB for control class. As the sample consists of 59 students. The sample was taken by using total random sampling technique. After analyzing the data by using t-test formula, it was found that ttest > ttable = 7.11 > 2.00. It means that there was positive influence of group task towards students’ writing narrative text ability at the first semester of the eighth class at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Way Sulan South Lampung in 2017/2018

Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe: (1) the structure of the text in the novel 5 CM by Donny Dhirgantoro, (2) the psychological conflict of figures based on the theory of Abraham H. Maslow's needs contained in the 5 CM novel by Donny Dhirgantoro, (3) the value of education the character contained in the 5 CM novel by Donny Dhirgantoro, (4) its relevance in learning literature in higher education. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research approach used is the psychology literature approach. Data collection techniques used are interview techniques and document analysis. Data validity in this study uses triangulation theory and data sources. The data analysis technique used in this study is an interactive model analysis technique. The results of this study include: (1) the form of literature, which is seen from intrinsic and extrinsic elements, (2) psychiatric conflicts of figures based on Abraham H. Maslow's theory can be seen from the needs namely physiological, security, love and belonging, price self, and self-actualization needs. (3) in the 5 CM novel by Donny Dhirgantoro ten values ​​of character education were found, including religious character, discipline, hard work, creativity, national spirit, love for the motherland, respect for achievement, social/environmental care, responsibility and friendliness / communicative. 4) 5 CM novels by Donny Dhirgantoro have relevance to literary learning, one of them is learning Literary Criticism, which is as teaching material in learning Literary Criticism in Higher Education.

Abstract

: This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ mathematical problem solving abilities in matrix material in the SMA XI IPA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung High School 2018-2019. This research is quantitative research with a type of quasi-experimental research. The population is all students of class XI IPA in Gajah Mada High School 2018-2019 which number 96 students and sampling using cluster random sampling. The test instrument used to determine students' problem solving abilities is to use a description test. The results of data analysis at the pretest of the experimental class showed that students' mathematical problem solving abilities were still relatively low with an average score of 58,81 and in the control class an average score of 58,81. The results of data analysis on the experimental class posttest showed that students' mathematical problem solving abilities increased with an average value of 78,18 whereas in the control class an average score of 70,18. Based on the t test performed t_count> t_table is10,66.> 1,69 which means that there is a significant effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the matrix material in Gajah Mada High School Bandar Lampung XI class 2018-2019

Abstract

This study aims to develop effective worksheets based on visual-spatial and logical mathematical intelligence that are effective in understanding students’ concepts. Student worksheets are developed based on material criteria and the intelligence background of students. Student worksheets are designed using language or instructions that are easy for students to understand. Students are directed to find concepts independently, and the origin of a concept is obtained by utilizing the intelligence they have. Research on this development is only limited to the test phase. The subject in this study are seventh-grade students in the first semester of SMP Negeri 2 Merbau Mataram in the academic year 2018/2019. The instrument used in this study is a conceptual understanding test instrument that is used to see the effectiveness of the worksheets of students developed. An assessment of the understanding of students’ concepts is carried out based on the scoring guidelines that have been made. The results of the research and discussion show that the worksheets of students developed are very practical in terms of understanding the concepts of students.

Abstract

Knowledge and abilities about drama are very important for students in the context of learning Indonesian. This ability is one of the abilities that students must have. By having knowledge related to drama theory, it makes it easier for students to apply it to stage art in the form of drama performances. The problems in this research are (1) how is the description of the teaching material needs for the Drama Performance Planning Study Program of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Baturaja University? Indonesian Language and Literature, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Baturaja ?, (3) what is the potential effect of developed textbooks on the Dramatic Performance course in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Baturaja University ?. This study aims to (1) describe the need for teaching materials for Drama Performance Planning in the form of textbooks in the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program Staging course, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Baturaja University, (2) produce textbooks according to the needs of the Language Education Study Program. and Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Baturaja, (3) to describe the potential effects of the Drama Performance Planning textbook on learning outcomes. The data on the textbook trial obtained through a multiple choice test of 50 questions showed that the average score of students at the pretest showed the lowest score of 68 and the highest score of 80 with an average of 76.20. After using the developed textbook and posttesting, the students' scores got an increase, namely the lowest score of 70 and the highest score of 90 with an average of 78.14 The increase in pragmatic ability was also seen from the difference between the average test of 15.0. Thus the researcher concludes that the developed textbooks have a potential influence in improving students' learning abilities.

Abstract

Fun learning is learning that is carried out interactively, fun, challenges, and motivates students to participate actively. Therefore, the development of teaching materials can motivate students to be more active in the learning process. The use of teaching materials used by students in reality is still minimal. Therefore, this study aims to describe and analyze student responses to the use of local wisdom-based study of fiction teaching materials. This research uses the Research and Development (RnD) type of research. Research respondents were 44 students who took the subject of fiction study in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Data collection techniques using student response questionnaires, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using percentages. The results of the research on student responses to the use of fiction study teaching materials were 83.8% and were in the feasible category with a very good predicate. Based on student responses It can be said that students as users of teaching materials give good responses to the Fiction Study textbook. Thus the use of teaching materials can increase student learning motivation.

Abstract

a film type of literary work presented in scenes that make the literary connoissedly sound. The life problems of the main character can be shape by social problems of the main character. The earth man is one of those Indonesian films which tell of life during the colonization. Minke was native who wanted his people to end trheir sad fate. From the story of Minke above, reseacrhers will discuss the psychological state of the main character in the human film this study is conducted with the purpose of describing how psychology in the main character and its relevance in the Indonesian language of the high school. In analyzing this human earth film, reseacrhers used the psychological theory of Sigmud Frued using Id, Ego, Superego psychoanalysis. The study Uses qualitative descriptive reseacrh designs. Based on the result of the data analysis, four conculions were obtained from thye following reseacrh. The Minke earth man movie, judging by its soul structure, is more superego than ego and id human earth film is relevant from drama studies in the 11 th grade because it meets the standards of competence, basic competence and drama indicators found in silabus and RPP.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop writing skills module teaching materials. The development model used in this research is the research and development model. The approach taken is mix methods research that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. The development model applied is that proposed by Jolly and Bolitho (in Tomlinson, (1998), Dick, Carey, and Carey (2005) and Tessmer (1998), The researcher collaborates with Dick, Carey, and Carey's model with Tessmer's evaluation model. The Tessmer model has five evaluation stages, namely the following self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group and field test. The more often a product is evaluated, the more interesting the results will be, with the collaboration of these two models, it is hoped that it can produce a module that is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a product in the form of a Kumon-based English learning model. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. While the research method used in this study is a research and development method which adopts the theory of Borg and Gall. This research has produced a product in two forms, namely Kumon-based reading learning books and audio. Based on the results of the effectiveness test of the Kumon-based learning model of English, it is proven that there is a significant difference (meaning) between before and after being given the Kumon-based learning model. This can be seen from the results in the significant difference test obtained by mean = 0.220, indicating the difference between the pretest and posttest results, the results of t-count = 9.465, with db = 29 and p-value = 0.224 ≥ 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference. Significant between before and after being given the Kumon-based English learning model treatment. So thus the Kumon-based English learning model that has been developed is better than the previous learning model.

Abstract

The problems studied in the study relate to the application of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model and mathematical connection ability. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the mathematical connection ability of class VIII Even Semester 2 Middle School 2 Warkuk Ranau South Academic Year 2018/2019. The study used quasi-experimental methods. Analysis of research data to determine the effect of treatment given using the t test with data that is normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on the results of the data analysis, the average mathematical ability of the experimental class is higher than the average value of the control class, which is 76.56> 61.88. This is supported by the results of hypothesis testing obtained by the value t = 6.49. From the distribution table t at a significant level of 5% it is known that t = = 2.00 means t> t which is 6.49> 2.00, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the mathematical connection ability of Grade VIII students Even the 2nd Middle School 2 Warkuk South Ranau Academic Year 2018/2019
