Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze in depth the difficulties experienced by ninth-grade students of SMPN 03 Ella Hilir in performing the long pass passing technique in soccer. The research method used was descriptive qualitative research involving 10 ninth-grade students who constituted the entire population of the class (total sampling). Data were collected through a long pass technique practice test using a four-aspect assessment rubric validated through expert judgment, in-depth interviews with physical education teachers and soccer coaches, and photo documentation during the test implementation. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was examined through source triangulation. The results showed that all students experienced significant difficulties in four aspects of the long pass technique, namely improper supporting foot position as the most fundamental difficulty, leg swings that were too short and ineffective, very low kicking accuracy as a cumulative effect of the previous two difficulties, and inconsistent eye focus toward the target. In conclusion, these four difficulties were interrelated and comprehensive, indicating the need for a more systematic, structured, and intensive technical training program to improve students’ mastery of the long pass passing technique. Abstract

This study aims to develop a GAP-based learning model (Visuals, Auditory, and Practice) for volleyball material for fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This method was used to develop the GAP-based learning model in order to improve the effectiveness of learning at SD Negeri 03 Gumawang. The results of the study indicate that this model has high validity and effectiveness. Expert validation showed a Content Validity Ratio (CVR) score of 0.9, which falls into the valid category, covering aspects of content, language, presentation, and alignment with learning objectives. Its effectiveness was measured through student questionnaires after implementation, resulting in an effectiveness score of 86%. The GAP model integrates visual images for technique visualization, audio guidance for instructions, and direct practice for skill application. This approach not only enhances theoretical understanding but also improves students’ motor skills. The model is designed to accommodate various learning styles, including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, while also encouraging collaboration and social skills through group activities. Through a direct practice-based approach, the model effectively improves students’ psychomotor skills and provides meaningful learning experiences. The GAP model can also be applied to other subjects to improve the quality of learning at the elementary school level. Keywords: Volleyball, GAP, Physical Education, Elementary School

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of participants’ success in achieving the Cut-Off Time (COT) in trail running, to compare patterns of COT achievement, and to provide technical recommendations for organizers in establishing more data-driven COT standards in order to enhance safety, competitive fairness, and operational efficiency of the event. The research method employed is a quantitative descriptive approach, which seeks to objectively illustrate the achievement of COT in trail running events. The subjects of this study were all participants in the 5K and 10K categories of the Merapi-Merbabu de Trail event. The results indicate that the success profile of runners in meeting the COT is influenced by demographic characteristics and endurance capacity, with higher success rates observed in the productive age group and a decline in older age groups. The comparison of COT patterns reveals variations in time achievement across different course segments, which are correlated with route difficulty, elevation conditions, and environmental factors. Therefore, COT should not be considered uniform but rather adjusted according to the specific characteristics of the terrain Keywords: Cut-Off Time, Participant Success Profile, Trail Running
