Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of combining locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative basic movements through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative model with a Deep Learning (joyful learning) approach. The subjects were 21 fourth-grade elementary school students. Following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, this study was conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through teacher and student observation sheets, deep learning implementation checklists, and movement skill performance tests. The results showed significant improvements. In the pre-cycle, classical completeness was 0%. After Cycle I, completeness increased to 47.61% (10 students passed). Following reflections and improvements in Cycle II, classical completeness jumped significantly to 85.71% (18 students passed), supported by optimal learning activities and a joyful classroom atmosphere (deep learning score reached 98.44). In conclusion, the combination of the TGT model and Deep Learning approach is proven effective in improving students' basic movement learning outcomes actively and joyfully. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the profile of basic motor competence among 11-year-old children in the Pangalengan area using the MoBaK instrument. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. The sample consisted of 141 children aged 11 years from several elementary schools in Pangalengan selected using total sampling techniques. The research instrument used the MoBaK test, which consists of two main domains: self movement and object movement. Data were analyzed descriptively using mean, percentage, standard deviation, minimum, and maximum scores. The results showed that children’s self movement abilities tended to be in the moderate category, while object movement abilities were generally in the good category. These findings indicate that children’s object control skills developed better than their self movement abilities. The differences between the two domains were influenced by physical activity experiences, movement environments, and children’s involvement in play activities. This study provides empirical information regarding the condition of basic motor competence in elementary school children and may serve as a basis for developing more targeted physical education and physical activity programs Keywords: Elementary School Children, Motor Competence, MoBak, Object Movement, Self Movement

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of massage therapy methods on reducing total cholesterol levels in individuals with hypercholesterolemia. This research method used a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. A total of 10 respondents with cholesterol levels ≥ 200 mg / dL underwent massage therapy for four weeks (twice a week, 30 minutes per session). Cholesterol levels were measured before and after the intervention. Data analysis used the t-test. The results of the study showed that the average cholesterol level before the intervention was 240 mg / dL, decreasing to 180 mg / dL after the intervention. Statistical tests showed significant results with a p value = 0.001 (p <0.05). The conclusion is that massage therapy is effective in lowering total cholesterol levels in individuals with hypercholesterolemia and can be used as a non-pharmacological supporting therapy. Abstract

The values inherent in basketball—such as teamwork, responsibility, sportsmanship, and discipline—can help develop students' character from an early age, making the sport a foundational component of physical education (PJOK) learning in elementary schools. However, this basketball learning is often hindered by a lack of facilities and equipment. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to review the literature and produce a preliminary design draft for a basketball game deemed suitable for students in Phase C in Paguyaman Boalemo District. The qualitative descriptive approach in this paper involves four stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The study produced a draft design for the “Lilingo” basketball that outlines its definition, facilities and equipment, and playing techniques. This initial draft can be taken to the next stage in research and development, namely the expert validation stage. Keywords: Basketball Lilingo, Design, Phase C, Game, Elementary School Students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing a drill method using a wall as a medium in improving underhand passing skills among volleyball extracurricular participants at SMP Negeri 29 Kaur. This study used a quantitative method with an experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest. The sample consisted of 15 male volleyball extracurricular participants selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through an underhand passing skills test using the AAHPER test instrument. The results showed a significant increase in underhand passing skills, as indicated by an average pre-test score of 8.33, increasing to 14.6 in the post-test. The results of the hypothesis test using the z-test obtained Z count > Z table, thus accepting the alternative hypothesis. This proves that the drill method using a wall as a medium is effective in improving underhand passing skills in volleyball. Thus, this method can be used as a simple, effective, and easy-to-implement training alternative in extracurricular activities. Keywords: Wall Media, Drill Method, Underhand Passing

Abstract

This study aimed to examine differences in mental toughness among volleyball athletes based on playing position, performance level, and gender. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive comparative design and a cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of volleyball athletes from the Bina Bola Voli (BBV) Club in Surabaya, representing regional, provincial, national, and international levels. Data were collected using the Mental Toughness Index (MTI) and analyzed using a three-way ANOVA. The results indicated that there were no significant differences in mental toughness based on playing position, performance level, or gender, either partially or through their interactions. These findings suggest that mental toughness among volleyball athletes is relatively similar across groups and is more strongly influenced by individual experience and the ability to manage competitive pressure. The results of this study are expected to provide a basis for the development of more individualized and contextual mental training programs for volleyball athletes.
