Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of an animated video based on educational games to improve the fundamental movement skills of first-grade elementary school students. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 60 first-grade students at SDN 8 Dauh Puri, selected using simple random sampling and divided into a control group and an experimental group. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, questionnaires, tests (pre-test and post-test), and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches, including descriptive analysis and a paired-sample t-test. The results showed that the animated video product based on educational games had a very high level of validity, as assessed by material experts (93%), media experts (86%), and language experts (90%). The implementation results also showed a significant increase in students' basic motor skills, with the average pre-test score of 58.55 rising to 82.02 on the post-test. The paired-sample t-test results showed a significant difference (p < 0.05) with a very large effect size. Furthermore, the practicality test achieved a 90% success rate, indicating the media's ease of use in the learning process. These results have implications for integrating innovative technology as a learning medium in physical education classes, especially in elementary schools. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model, combined with an invasion game, on students’ levels of self-satisfaction and playing skills in physical education classes. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design, involving 54 sixth-grade students from SD Negeri 065 Cihampelas in Bandung, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received TGT-model instruction through handball games over 12 sessions, while the control group received conventional instruction. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test to examine changes within groups and the Mann–Whitney U test to compare the two groups. The results of the Wilcoxon test indicated a significant increase between the pretest and posttest for both variables (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the results of the Mann–Whitney U test showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups on the variables of self-satisfaction (Z = -6.317; p < 0.001) and playing skills (Z = -6.372; p < 0.001). Additionally, the experimental group achieved an N-Gain score of 71.19% for self-satisfaction and 81.73% for playing skills, indicating an effectiveness level ranging from effective to highly effective. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Team Games Tournament model through the invasion game is effective in improving self-satisfaction and playing skills among elementary school students. Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the Jigsaw and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning models in improving the soccer playing skills of elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental two-group pretest–posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all students of SDN 139 Sukarasa, Bandung City, totaling 274 students, with a sample of 40 fifth-grade students selected using purposive sampling and divided into the Jigsaw and TGT groups. Data were collected using the Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI), which measures the aspects of decision making, skill execution, and support. The data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, homogeneity test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and Mann–Whitney U Test. The results showed that both cooperative learning models had a significant effect on improving students’ soccer playing skills. However, the TGT cooperative learning model demonstrated higher effectiveness compared to the Jigsaw model, as indicated by the acceptance of H₁ with a significance value (Sig) < 0.001. Therefore, the implementation of cooperative learning models, particularly TGT, can be an effective alternative to improve elementary school students’ soccer playing skills. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of traditional games of boi-boian, cat and rat, as well as red-green lights on increasing the speed of sprint running of grade VI students of SD Negeri Tegalendah. The method used was a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design, involving 26 grade VI students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was in the form of a 60-meter sprint test with a score of 1–10, and the data were analyzed using the normality test, the pair sample t-test, and the R-square test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the speed of the students' sprints, with the average score from 57.30 in the pretest to 64.23 in the posttest. Normally-distributed data, the significance value of the t-test of 0.002 (p < 0.05) confirms the statistically significant score difference. In addition, the R Square value of 0.550 shows that the application of three variations of traditional games has a very large influence, namely 55.0%, on improving students' sprint running ability. In conclusion, traditional game-based learning has been proven to be effective in improving students' motor skills, making the exercise process more lively, fun, and encouraging active engagement. Thus, physical learning focuses not only on speed, but also on the development of motor skills as a whole. Keywords: Sprint Running, Traditional Games, Game Variation

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effects of rondo and wall pass training on improving futsal passing accuracy in elementary school students. The method used was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design, with research subjects divided into two treatment groups: the rondo training group and the wall pass training group, and a control group given paired passing treatment. The research instrument was a passing accuracy test conducted before and after the treatment, while data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results showed that both training methods had a significant effect on improving passing accuracy, but wall pass training was more effective than rondo training because it emphasized more on technical repetition and consistency, while rondo focused more on game aspects and teamwork. Thus, it can be concluded that wall pass training is more effective in improving futsal passing accuracy in elementary school students, although both methods can be combined to optimize technical and tactical abilities.
