Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a crucial reduction in the need for physical education and interaction time in physical activity, so this has become a challenge for all teachers in schools. The aim of this research is to investigate 24-hour movement guidelines between pandemic vs. post-pandemic. The method used in this research is cross sectional with an observational approach. The total subjects in this study were 620 elementary school students with an average age of 10.87 ± 0.51 years, weight 37.12 ± 8.37 kg, and height 140.11 ± 4.73 cm. The results of the research show that after the pandemic, children's outdoor play habits and sleep duration increased sharply as time in front of the screen decreased, although they tended to be the same as conditions during the pandemic. It is hoped that these findings can be a reference for parents and teachers in schools to implement a healthy lifestyle by prioritizing physical activity compared to screen use. so that habits during the pandemic can be overcome and students can increase their level of fitness

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic condition that occurs when there is an increase in glucose levels in the blood because the body cannot produce insulin or use insulin effectively. Insulin is an important hormone produced in the body's pancreatic gland, which transports glucose from the bloodstream into the body's cells where the glucose is converted into energy. This study uses a comparative study with experimental method to find out the comparison results of the treatment given to samples from aerobic exercise intervention treatment with resistance exercise, The first group will do Aerobic Endurance Exercise by walking for 20 minutes. While the second group will do Resistance Exercise by doing strength training or resistance training for 20 minutes, rest time is 15 seconds and the movement is done as many as 2 sets and 10 repetitions. Subject characteristics based on average age (61.58 ± 6.50), body weight (71.86 ± 9.76), body height (157.27 ± 8.99), and BMI of elderly people suffering from diabetes mellitus falls into the obese category with a value of (27.71 ± 4.23). The value of aerobic before exercise is (26.41 ± 33.67) after exercise it decrease (11.74 ± 10.28), resistance exercise before exercise is (31.74 ± 54.10) after exercise it decrease (9.33 ± 23.46). Abstract

Body weight is a crucial aspect in martial arts sports, as it is directly related to determining the competition class that an athlete will participate in. To achieve their ideal target weight required for their respective classes, each athlete has their own perception of the body weight status they desire. This perception is often closely linked to their body image or view of their current physical form. This research was conducted with the aim of comprehensively describing nutritional perceptions, body image profiles, and the relationship between nutritional perceptions and body image among martial arts athletes at the West Java Student Sports Education and Training Center (PPLP). This research involved 45 martial arts athletes from the West Java PPLP institution, comprising 25 males and 20 females. The research design used was a cross-sectional survey with total sampling technique. Nutritional perception and body image assessments were conducted using the Nutritional Perception Screening Questionnaire (NPSQ9) and Figure Rating Scale (FRS) instruments. The findings showed that on average, the athletes' nutritional perceptions were in the good category. However, the obtained body image profile yielded negative results, meaning that their current body shape did not match the desired body shape of the athletes. The bivariate correlation analysis revealed no significant relationship between nutritional perceptions and body image among martial arts athletes at the West Java PPLP, with a significance value of 0.164 (p>0.05). Although the body image profiles of males were negative and females positive, there was no difference in perception between them. This was because the athletes were more focused on meeting the requirements for their competition class rather than attaining their desired body image.
