Abstract

Abstract Concentration is an important skill for elementary school children to support their learning success. This study aims to determine the effect of archery activities on the concentration levels of elementary school children. The research method used was a pre-experiment with a pretest and posttest one-group design. The research sample consisted of 15 children at SDN Duren Tiga 14 South Jakarta. Concentration levels were measured using the Concentration Grid Test (CGT). The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in concentration scores, with a pretest average of 2.33 and a posttest average of 9.47. Archery activities were proven to be effective in improving the concentration of elementary school children at SDN Duren Tiga 14, South Jakarta. Archery can be used as a means of cognitive stimulation in schools to improve children's concentration. Keywords: archery activities, archery sports, concentration. nd a posttest average of 9.47. Abstract

Abstract The accuracy of smash in volleyball is influenced by various components of physical fitness, but the specific contribution of each component to physical education students has not been widely studied. This study aims to identify the contribution of leg muscle explosiveness, eye-hand coordination, and agility to the accuracy of volleyball smash. The research uses a correlational quantitative approach involving forty students of the Physical Education Study Program, Pamulang University who were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through a vertical jump test, a ball throw to a wall test, an Illinois agility test, and a validated smash accuracy test. The data was analyzed using simple regression analysis and multiple regression with a significance level of five percent. The results showed that the explosiveness of the leg muscles contributed 55.1%, eye-hand coordination 66.6%, and agility 38.8% to the accuracy of the smash. Simultaneously, all three components contribute 77.1% to the accuracy of volleyball smash. Hand-eye coordination proved to be the most dominant predictor. These findings provide practical implications for the design of exercise programs that focus on developing physical fitness components holistically to optimize the smash abilities of physical education students. Keywords: leg muscle explosiveness, eye-hand coordination, agility.

Abstract

Abstract Wheelchair fencing is an adaptive sport that emphasizes the use of upper limbs in a static sitting position, and to date, there is still relatively limited study examining its physical condition profile comprehensively. This study aims to describe the physical condition profile of elite wheelchair fencing elite athletes based on the main biomotor components. The study method used is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study subjects consisted of 8 athletes, including 5 male athletes and 3 female athletes. Physical condition measurements included shoulder flexibility, shoulder muscle endurance, right and left hand grip strength, hand reaction speed, and aerobic capacity (Aeerobic capacity). Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics in the form of average values. The results showed that Aeerobic capacity values were 43.5 ml/kg/minute in male athletes and 36.1 ml/kg/minute in female athletes. Shoulder flexibility values were 112 cm in male athletes and 63 cm in female athletes, and shoulder endurance was 56 seconds in male athletes and 17.75 seconds in female athletes. In addition, the right hand grip strength value was 44.3 kg in male athletes and 17.1 kg in female athletes, and the left hand was 24.3 kg in male athletes and 18.1 kg in female athletes. The hand reaction value was 150 ms in male athletes and 175 ms in female athletes. The conclusion of the study shows that the physical condition profile of elite wheelchair fencers is at a varying level between biomotor components, with aerobic capacity and grip strength being relatively better than flexibility and reaction speed. These results can be used as a basis for developing a more specific training program and in accordance with the demands of the sport of wheelchair fencing. Keywords: biomotor, physical fitnes, wheelchair fencing.

Abstract

Abstract The assessment of pencak silat referee competence has long been dominated by technical and theoretical evaluations, yet it lacks standardized objective physical fitness parameters, particularly for the novice category. This study aims to develop physical condition battery test norms as a biological evaluation instrument for prospective regional-level referees in Serang City in 2026. Employing a quantitative descriptive design, the study involved 21 novice referees selected via total sampling. Data were collected through five measurement dimensions: Multistage Fitness Test (MFT), Whole Body Reaction (WBR), Balance, Push Up, and Vertical Jump. The conversion procedure involved aggregating raw scores from all instruments, which were subsequently classified using a 5-point scale Norm-Referenced Assessment (PAN) based on the Mean (22.9) and Standard Deviation (7.8). The results established five physical readiness categories: Excellent (Score ≥ 35), Good (27-34), Average (19-26), Poor (12-18), and Very Poor (≤ 11). These findings provide an evidence-based selection framework that enables the IPSI Serang City Branch to validate the physical readiness of referees objectively prior to official championship assignments. Keywords: fitness norms, battery test, referee, pencak silat, physical condition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the anthropometric profile and physical condition of adolescent futsal athletes and relate them to aspects of sports physiology. The method used is descriptive quantitative with 10 futsal athletes aged 14–16 years as research subjects. The instruments used include anthropometric measurements (weight, height, and body mass index/BMI), speed (20-meter sprint), power (vertical jump), strength (wall sit, push-up, sit-up), and cardiorespiratory endurance (12-minute Cooper test). Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics in the form of minimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation values. The results showed that the average BMI of athletes was 18.94 kg/m² in the normal category. The speed component had an average of 3.32 seconds (moderate category), power was 42.20 cm (moderate category), muscle strength showed varying results with moderate to good categories, and cardiorespiratory endurance was 2216 meters (moderate category). Physiologically, these results indicate that futsal athlete performance is influenced by the interaction of the anaerobic, aerobic, and neuromuscular energy systems. The study concluded that the athletes' general physical condition was moderate to good, but improvements in aerobic endurance and muscle power were still needed. Therefore, it is recommended to implement exercise physiology-based training programs such as high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and plyometric training to optimally improve the performance of adolescent futsal athletes. Keywords: anthropometry, physical condition, futsal, sports physiology.

Abstract

Abstract Research on sport-based Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has developed rapidly and is no longer understood merely as a social activity but also as part of a sports organization’s sustainability strategy. This study aims to map the development, knowledge structure, and main themes in sport-based CSR research. The study employs a bibliometric analysis method using data from the Scopus database consisting of English-language journal articles from 2009 to 2025. The analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer to identify publication trends, productive authors, leading journals, and keyword network visualizations. The results indicate that publications on sport-based CSR have seen a significant increase, particularly after 2015, in line with growing attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The most dominant research themes relate to environmental sustainability, sports organization management, consumer behaviour, and organizational governance. Furthermore, the analysis indicates that sport-based CSR research is dominated by developed countries and focuses on sustainability issues within the sports industry. The study’s conclusions suggest that sport-based CSR research is evolving toward a more strategic and sustainability- oriented approach. This study is expected to serve as a reference for future sport- based CSR research. Keywords: bibliometric analysis, SDGs, sport-based CSR, sport management, VOSviewer.
