Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine student learning outcomes. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. The subjects and location of this research were students in class VIC at SDN 42 Jambi City, totaling 31 students. The research model used is research research which includes four stages of action, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research showed that students experienced significant improvement during the two cycles with each completion percentage. In the pre-cycle it reached 38.70% completeness, in cycle 1 it reached 64.5% completeness, and in cycle II it achieved 87.09% completeness or an increase of 48.39. With an average in the pre-cycle of 67.87 to 72.12 in cycle 1, and experiencing an increase in cycle II to 78.25.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the implementation of the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL), the SWOT analysis of the SKL implementation, and to propose an action plan. action plans in different elementary schools. This study applied a qualitative descriptive approach and data triangulation model to include orientation, exploration and investigation phases. The 123 study participants were school principals, classroom teachers, subject teachers, education staff, school committees, and parents. Most of the quality indicators have been implemented and developed in primary schools, according to the results. Students are unfamiliar with writing and do not participate in school curriculum committees, both unconsolidated indicators of quality. The school's vision and aim are already aligned with the SKL, and all teachers hold at least an S1 certificate. Teacher IT skills are still insufficient, and some teachers lack formal educational degrees, which are problems. In terms of possibilities, the school, school committee, teachers, and student parents have created a close bond, with most school programs Obtaining full parental support. Meanwhile, external competition, particularly from private schools that do not yet have an alumni forum, poses a challenge. The bulk of the SKL quality indicators has been implemented and developed in elementary schools, according to the study's results. Internal (strengths and weaknesses) and external (opportunities and threats) factors, as well as an action plan, are unique to each institution (action plan). In certain primary schools, SKL offers a variety of activities, schedules, and objectives.

Abstract

This development research is motivated by the unavailability of mathematics learning media that support the learning process, especially on fraction multiplication material. The purpose of this development research is to determine the validity and practicality of Fraction Triangle Card learning media. For this reason, research was conducted using the Research and Development (RD) method using the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) development model to test the validity and practicality of the Fraction Triangle Card learning media. This development research was conducted at SDN Cilandak Barat 04 Pagi in the academic year 2023/2024 odd semester. For the validation test, this learning media was conducted by three experts, namely language experts, media experts, and material experts while to test practicality it was carried out in stages, namely teacher practical trials, small group trials, and large group trials. The results showed that the Fraction Triangle Card learning media was very valid based on the results of the calculation of linguists with a percentage assessment of 84%, media experts with a percentage assessment of 90%, and material experts with a percentage of 88%. The results of the teacher's practicality trial obtained a percentage assessment of 93.3%, the results of the small group trial obtained a percentage assessment of 98.61%, and the results of the large group trial obtained a percentage assessment of 94.4%. Based on the results of the study, the Fraction Triangle Card learning media is very valid and practical to be used by fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

In the last 5 years, survey results show that religious harmony in West Java placed in the 10th lowest rank in Indonesia. Anak Beragama Cinta Damai or ABCD program aims to strengthen the process of internalizing the values of religious moderation at the elementary school (SD/MI) level towards the value of tolerance using a humanistic approach by involving students directly through a series of learning programs. This study uses a qualitative approach, namely literature review. The form of this program is advocacy and value habituation activities where religion, civic education, and classroom teachers serve as facilitators to strengthen the values of religious moderation, while students act as a peace makers. Specific strategies in delivering material by using quantum learning and group counselling. The learning stages of quantum learning consist of EEL Dr. C (enroll, experience, label, demonstrate, and review). Teachers collaborate for initiating the following activities: 1)Asking students to share their experiences of whether they have heard negative things about other religions and their point of view 2)Conduct discussions regarding negative stigma that students have about other religions, the teacher provides education and straightening out the misconceptions 3)Encourage students to make works of art such as poetry, writing, songs, paintings, and others about tolerance and inter-religious harmony to be displayed in student exhibitions 4)Inviting other religious leaders to do inter-faith dialogue. This program is expected to be a solution in overcoming the problem of the intolerance phenomenon in West Java in order to create inter-religious harmony and national peace.

Abstract

The purpose of Primary Education Undergraduates’ Awareness and Perception on the Utilization of Open Educational Resources for Learning in University of Ilorin.The use of Open Educational Resources (OER) in this present dispensation is considered to be very essential. It is indicated that students use a limited range of technologies for learning, with established technologies such as VLEs, Google and Wikipedia being the most frequently used, based on the previous findings it is observed that utilization of OER is not common among primary education undergraduates. Therefore, this study investigated the awareness and perception on the utilization of OER for learning among primary education undergraduates in University of Ilorin.  The study adopted the descriptive research of survey type. This study was limited to the primary education undergraduate students in Adult and Primary Education Department, University of Ilorin. 150 undergraduate were randomly selected from the department. Structured questionnaires was used to elicit response from the respondents. The finding of this study shows that undergraduate students are aware of OERs learning tools. Primary education undergraduate students’ perception towards OERs tool for learning is positive, there are factors inhibiting effective use of OER for learning among students, undergraduate students used OERs site for learning, and there was no significant difference between male and female undergraduates’ perception of OER tools for learning. Based on the findings of this research, the following recommendation were made. Lecturers should endeavor to put their scholarstic publications in the public domain of their institutions, as this will help student layhands on more quality materials and the government should provide fund to ensure the stability of OER movement.

Abstract

One aspect that plays an important role in life is education, especially in learning mathematics, where students first avoid it and think that mathematics is difficult, so this makes students' interest in learning decrease. The aim of this research is to find out the influence of giving rewards and punishment on students' interest in learning in mathematics subjects. The research method used in this research uses a quantitative approach with the instrument used, namely SPSS 25 for Windows, while the data collection technique uses a questionnaire and data analysis uses the classic assumption test. The research results show that 1) Rewards and punishments simultaneously influence students' interest in learning by 92 percent; 2) Compensation influences interest rates significantly, as shown by the sign value of 0.003 being less than 0.05; and 3) Compensation significantly influences students' interest in learning, as shown by the mark value of 0.002 which is less than 0.05. The punishment variable is the most influential in terms of its significance value. It can be concluded that the rewards and punishments given by teachers or educators to students influence their interest in learning mathematics subjects.

Abstract

The aim of developing problem-based LUNTAR (Ludo Bangun Datar) media is to further improve critical thinking skills in fourth grade elementary school students. This research uses research and development ( RD) methods. The model used by researchers is the ADDIE model which consists of 5 steps, namely analysis , design , development , implementation and evaluation . The instruments in this research used observation, interviews, tests and questionnaires. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, validation of material experts and media experts as well as tests to improve critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique quantitative. The research results in this study can be seen from the average results of media experts for problem-based LUNTAR media getting 3.8 which is declared "feasible" and the material expert assessment gets 4.5 which is declared "very feasible". Based on the effectiveness of the media, teachers' responses received an average of 4.8 which was declared "very effective" while the pre-test and post-test results of class IV students using the N-Gain test received an average of 0.92 in the "high" category. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that research and development of problem-based LUNTAR media can improve the critical thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has become a topic of increasing interest in recent decades. AI has experienced rapid development and has been implemented in various aspects of education, such as adaptive learning, school administration, and increasing educational accessibility. While the potential benefits offered by AI are very promising, their implementation also faces challenges that need to be overcome. This research aims to investigate the development and use of AI in education, as well as the challenges faced in adopting and implementing it. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study evaluates the positive impact of AI in increasing learning effectiveness, providing learning experiences tailored to individual needs, and speeding up the educational administration process. However, challenges were also identified in the application of AI in education. These challenges include student data privacy issues, loss of human interaction, and the changing role of teachers in the AI era. In addition, there are also financial and infrastructural constraints that can hinder the adoption of AI in public schools. The articles cited in this research discuss various solutions that can be implemented to overcome this challenge. The conclusions in this study highlight the importance of supporting the implementation of AI in education by ensuring supportive policies, adequate preparation, and a better understanding of the use of AI by educators. In addition, it is also necessary to develop a curriculum that is adaptive and in accordance with industrial developments. By addressing these challenges, the application of AI in education has the potential to change the way we learn and teach, creating a more inclusive, efficient and quality education

Abstract

The teaching-learning process is specifically designed for the benefit of students, with the aim of making them feel happy and motivated in learning. However, many teachers still struggle to enhance students' learning motivation, especially in the subject of science, specifically the five senses. This research aims to create a game-based learning media product considered valid by media and subject matter experts, practical for use by teachers and students, and effective in improving students' learning motivation. This research and development used the (RD) ADDIE model. The research results indicate that the PAKLEK media can be effectively applied in learning, as evidenced by validation results from subject matter and media experts averaging 88%, with a valid category. In the practicality test, the PAKLEK media obtained an average score of 94%, with a highly practical category, according to practitioners, namely users in small group trials and field trials. The practicality of the media obtained 96.5%, with a highly effective category. Additionally, the survey results on student motivation showed a significant increase, from 56% to 94%, indicating very high effectiveness. The N-Gain test also showed highly effective results, with a score of 0.87. Thus, it can be concluded that the PAKLEK media for the five senses subject is suitable for enhancing elementary school students' motivation

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the analysis of an earlier reading ability at second grade of elementary school students as well as factors that affect students' earlier reading ability. Researchers use a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The data sources in this study were grade 2 teachers and parents of grade 2 SD Negeri 045 /I Sridadi. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and document studies. The data obtained is then analyzed through the stages consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and verification / drawing conclusions. The results showed that out of 16 second grade students of SD Negeri 045/1 Sridadi, it was found that 6 students, namely JA, AC, MR, AI, DA, and MN experienced problems in the realm of an earlier reading ability such as : (a) not being able to recognize letters, (b) reading syllables, (c) spelling words, (d) stringing words into simple sentences, and (e) reading short texts. Those aspects are the benchmark for students to have an earlier reading ability. Then students' difficulty in reading is caused by several factors, namely: (a) lack of interest in learning, (b) lack of self-confidence, (c) preschool education, and (d) attention from parents.
