Spiritual well-being is a crucial aspect for students in East Kalimantan, which can significantly impact their quality of life. This study examines the impact of spiritual well-being on the quality of life of students in East Kalimantan. This study uses quantitative research with simple random sampling techniques on students (n=475) in East Kalimantan. The data collection method for this study was conducted online using the spiritual well-being scale from Ellison and the WHOQOL-BREF Quality of Life scale, which were analyzed using linear regression analysis techniques, using SPSS software, version 23. Based on the hypothesis test, there is an influence of spiritual well-being on quality of life of r=0.344 with a significance of 0.00 (p<0.05), with a percentage of 34.4%, indicating that 65.6% is influenced by other factors. This shows that spirituality can be one of the factors in improving the quality of life of students. The implication of this study is that it can be utilized by academic counselors and educators to integrate value-based and spiritual approaches into student guidance and mentoring. Therefore, it is important for higher education institutions in East Kalimantan to develop programs that support student mental well-being.

This research aimed to examine the relationship between perceived parenting styles and self-esteem, the relationship between parenting style and self-esteem, and the differences between male and female self-esteem among secondary school students in Zanzibar. A quantitative research approach was employed, involving a sample of 100 students selected from various secondary schools 40 male and 60 female. Data were collected using two standardized instruments: the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) to assess the level of self-esteem, and the Perceived Parenting Styles Scale to evaluate students’ perceptions of their parents’ parenting styles. The data manipulated Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) through, T.test one sample, T.test two independent sample and the results show that there is no statistically significant relationship between perceived parenting styles and self-esteem among the students. However, the overall level of self-esteem among the participants was found to be high. Additionally, the perceived parenting styles were generally characterized positively, indicating a constructive perception of parental behaviors. Notably, the study identified a statistically significant difference in self-esteem levels between male and female students, suggesting gender as a relevant factor in adolescents’ self-perception.These results highlight the complexity of factors influencing self-esteem among adolescents and suggest the need for further research into other contextual and psychosocial variables. The study also recommends the development of gender-responsive programs that support students’ emotional and psychological well-being across different backgrounds

Dzikir therapy (Islamic mindful prayer) is a psychospiritual approach believed to alleviate stress and enhance psychological well-being. However, empirical studies on the efficacy of dzikir in reducing stress among adolescents remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of dzikir therapy on stress levels in university students using an experimental design supplemented by post-intervention interviews. A pretest-posttest control group design was implemented with 28 participants randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The intervention involved daily individual dzikir practice for 30 minutes over two weeks. The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) was administered to collect quantitative data, while post-experiment interviews provided qualitative insights. Quantitative data were analyzed using independent samples t-tests, and qualitative data were thematically analyzed. Results indicated a significant reduction in stress scores for the experimental group compared to the control group (p = .022, d = 1.03). Qualitative findings revealed that dzikir helped participants manage negative emotions, strengthen spiritual connectedness, and cultivate reflective, positive thinking patterns. The study concludes that dzikir therapy demonstrates statistical and phenomenological effectiveness in reducing stress among adolescents, supporting its integration into holistic stress management interventions

The development of digital technology has increased every year, one of which is the use of social media. Social media creates a new space for self-presentation, which in turn poses psychological challenges such as loneliness and narcissistic tendencies. This study aims to examine the effect of loneliness on narcissistic tendencies with self-disclosure as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach and survey method were employed, using a non-probability sampling technique, specifically quota sampling. The study involved 503 respondents aged 18–40 years who were active users of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The analysis results indicate that loneliness has a significant influence on narcissistic tendencies, with a significance value of 0.000 and a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.187. This suggests that the higher the level of loneliness experienced by an individual, the higher their narcissistic tendencies. Furthermore, the results of the moderation test showed a significance value of 0.000 with a correlation (R Square) of 0.580. This means that individuals who experience loneliness and have a high level of self disclosure tend to exhibit stronger narcissistic behaviors.

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of ethnic identity and cultural values in the career decision-making process among early-career employees from Javanese, Sundanese, and Minang ethnic groups in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The participants in this study were three early-career employees each representing one ethnicity. Participants were selected purposely and interviewed in depth. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify relevant patterns and themes. The results of the study indicate that internal individual factors and cultural values can have a complex influence on individuals in making career decisions. The value of collectivism is found in the Javanese ethnic with the family philosophy of "mangan ora mangan sing penting ngumpul" (togetherness values). Likewise, the Sundanese ethnic group is known to prioritize the values of "luhur budi," "handap asor," and "someah hade ka semah," focusing on harmonious social relations, specifically by respecting others and choosing to avoid conflict. The Minang ethnic group found something different, namely the spirit of "merantau," where individuals prioritize proactive adaptation strategies based on high mobility to be able to seek opportunities outside their hometown. These differences indicate that cultural values can influence individuals' preferences, strategies, and ways of facing career challenges. Taken together, the dynamics of cultural values can be the basis for developing an adaptive career decision-making model. This research is expected to be the basis for designing culture-based interventions that support individuals in planning and managing their careers effectively.

This study examines the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) on Instagram Addiction among adolescents in the context of the rapid development of the internet and social media. The internet, especially Instagram, has become very popular among adolescents, providing convenience and creativity but also triggering FoMO, which is defined as the anxiety of missing out on other people's experiences. Quantitative methods were used using regression analysis with FoMO as a predictor and Instagram Addiction as the dependent variable. The ANOVA results showed that the regression model was significant (F = 15.210, p < 0.001), while the regression coefficient indicated a positive effect of FoMO on Instagram Addiction (B = 0.005, p < 0.001). These findings indicate that every one-point increase in FoMO corresponds to a 0.005-point increase in Instagram Addiction (logIG). In conclusion, FoMO is a significant predictor of Instagram Addiction, implying that higher levels of FoMO increase the likelihood of addictive behavior on Instagram, underscoring the importance of addressing FoMO in understanding adolescent digital behavior.
