Abstract

Poor nutritional status in adolescent girls can result in pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhea). Dysmenorrhea itself is pain felt during menstruation which can interfere with the sufferer's daily activities. From the research results, it was reported that the incidence of dysmenorrhea was 79.1% in adolescents aged 13-14 years. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the occurrence of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls at SMP 2 Playen Gunung Kidul. The research method used quantitative correlational with a population of 199 young women from grade 7 and grade 8 at SMP 2 Playen Gunung Kidul. The sample used in this research was 38 respondents from grade 7 and 28 respondents from grade 8 using a quota sampling technique. This data collection method uses questionnaires and observation of respondents' BMI values. This research analysis used an analytical survey (Spearman-Rho) with the results that there was no significant relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of dysmenorrhea with a P-value > 0.05 (0.993). However, in this study 43.3% of respondents had underweight nutritional status and 20.9% of respondents experienced frequent episodes of dysmenorrhea. The conclusion shows that the incidence of dysmenorrhea is not only influenced by nutritional status but is influenced by other factors. Future research is expected to examine the factors that influence dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Myopia is a refractive disorder that occurs when the light beam that enters the eye parallel to the optical axis becomes focused in front of the retina when the eye accommodation is relaxed. It is estimated that by 2050, about 49.8% of the world's population will have myopia and 9.8% will have high myopia. The introduction of gadgets in school-age children is still too early where children would prefer to be physically active or play live in groups rather than familiar with gadgets. The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between the behavioural use of gadgets and myopia in school-age children in SDN Sukaraja 2. The research method used is quantitative with research survey design correlation and cross-sectional approach. This research instrument uses a questionnaire and a Snellen chart contained in the SDIDTK landing book issued by Kemenkes. (2016). Research sample 43 5th grade students at SDN Sukaraja 2. Data analysis in the trial using a chi-square correlation test. The results of this study found no correlation between gadget use behavior and myopia in school-age children in SDN Sukaraja 2 (Asimp.Sig 0,077 > 0,05). It can be concluded that the behavior using the gadget is in the good category with the highest score is 29 (67.44%). Myopia in children is included in the normal with the most visual strength score is 37 (86.05%) and there is no significant relationship between the behaviour using the device and myopia.

Abstract

Objective: Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by the body's inability to produce insulin or decreased insulin production. This disease can reduce the quality of life and even death. Alternative medicine is an option for treating increased blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers because it is considered cheap, easy and has few side effects. One of them is using aloe vera and cherry leaves. The aim of this research is to determine the comparison of aloe vera and cherry leaves in reducing blood sugar levels in diabetes sufferers through a literature study. Methods: The method used in this research is a systematic review by identifying and evaluating articles and journals via the Google Scholar, Pubmed and Semantic Scholar websites that were published from 2019 to 2024 using the keywords "Aloe Vera, Kersen Leaves and Diabetes Mellitus" and have open access and not a duplicate article. Results: After going through a feasibility test with JBI critical appraisal, 10 articles out of 2,051 were obtained, the results showed that the aloe vera plant and cherry leaves both had an effect on reducing blood sugar levels in people with type II diabetes mellitus, although with different percentages. Conclusion: Reducing blood sugar levels by cherry leaves is more effective than aloe vera where the reduction is much higher with a reduction value of >40%

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of classical music therapy in decreasing the anxiety of breast cancer patients undergoing their first chemotherapy. Methods: This research design is Quasi-Experimental with a Pre-Post Test Design. The sample of this research is breast cancer patients who will undergo the first chemotherapy. The sampling technique used was the Non-probability Sampling technique with a Quota Sampling approach. Results: The results obtained in the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test in the treatment group obtained a significance value (p) = 0.000 smaller than α = 0.05 so that the hypothesis is accepted. There is a significant difference in anxiety before and after intervention in the treatment group. While the results of the Mann Whitney U Test obtained a significance value (p) = 0.000 is smaller than α = 0.05 so that the hypothesis is accepted, there is a significant difference in anxiety between the treatment group and the control group. Conclusion: Classical music therapy can calm the mind and control emotions. Classical music can also help patients as it can distract them from unpleasant events.

Abstract

Objective: Death of pregnant women due to bleeding is the main cause in Lamongan. The biggest cause is postpartum hemorrhage due to nutritional deficiencies, especially anemia. Anemia is one of the four main nutritional problems in Indonesia which has a fairly high prevalence and is often caused by nutritional deficiencies, especially iron. This study aims to determine the relationship between anemia in pregnancy and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. Methods: Design a case-control study with a retrospective observational approach, collecting data on maternal medical records in January-December 2021 in Bulutigo Laren-Lamongan Village, using a Simple Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 146 mothers who were divided into case groups and control groups. The dependent variable is anemia of pregnancy and the independent variable is postpartum hemorrhage. The research instrument used a check list to assess the incidence of anemia and an observation sheet to assess the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. Data were analyzed by Chi Square test with ️ = 0.05. Results: The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant relationship between anemia and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. The combined odds ratio (OR) showed that the effect of anemic pregnant women on postpartum hemorrhage was 45.7 times higher than that of non-anemic mothers (95% CI: 16.05-117.94; p<0.000). Conclusion: Pregnant women with anemia are 45.7 times more likely to experience postpartum hemorrhage than pregnant women who do not experience anemia. Anemia of pregnancy can be detected by regular antenatalcare (ANC) examinations

Methods: Quantitative research using a cross sectional approach. A total of 48 respondents were recruited as research samples from 70 populations. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. Independent variables are individual factors of personality, psychological factors of motivation, and organizational factors of workload and rewards. Data analysis using SPSS version 21 with multiple logistic regression test with a = 0,05 and 95% confidence level significant. Results: The results showed that there was an influence of individual factors of personality (p=0.047), psychological factors of motivation (p=0.045), organizational factors of workload (p=0.018), and organizational factors of rewards (0.021). The largest Exp (B) value / OR is the workload organizational factor which is 26.150, which means that the perceived workload has a chance of 26.150 times affecting the caring behavior of emergency nurses. Conclusion: Individual personality factors, motivational psychological factors, workload organizational factors and rewards have a significant influence on the caring behavior of emergency nurses. However, there is one factor that most dominantly affects the caring behavior of emergency nurses is the organizational factor of workload.
