Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Diabetic nephropathy is a degenerative kidney vascular disorder that has a relationship with impaired carbohydrate metabolism or sugar intolerance (Diabetes Mellitus). Black turmeric (Curcuma Caesia Roxb.) is widely used by the community as a traditional medicine and has potential as an antidiabetic. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of black turmeric extract on decreasing blood glucose levels and its effect on improving kidney histopathology in diabetic nephropathy rats.Method: This research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Center for Food and Nutrition Studies, University of Gajah Mada for the period October-November 2022 consisting of 6 groups. STZ-Na induced rats to obtain a state of hyperglycemia. Examination of blood glucose levels using the GOD-PAP method (enzymatic photometric test). Results: The percentage of blood glucose is decreased levels was 16.75% and repaired kidney histopathology was 6.67% as a score mild damage category (1).Conclusion: Black turmeric rhizome extract (Curcuma Caesia Roxb.) can reduce blood glucose levels and improve kidney function at a dose of 400 mg/kg BW.

Abstract

Background: Neutropenia can increase morbidity in cancer patients because it can cause an increased risk of infection, delay or discontinue chemotherapy, and decrease the dose of cytotoxic agents which affect the patient's response and clinical outcome. The administration of G-CSF can increase ANC levels in neutropenic patients. The effectiveness of G-CSF was assessed by increasing ANC levels compared to before the administration of G-CSF.Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of G-CSF administration on ANC levels in cancer patients with neutropeniaMethods: This research was conducted at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Semarang in October-December 2022 period with retrospective cohort method. The sample was cancer patients who experienced neutropenia and were given G-CSF.Results: Administration of G-CSF significantly increased ANC values (p-value 0.00 <0.05), increased by 921.07 ± 647.20 in the administration of filgrastim and 933.13 ± 558.89 in the administration of lenograstim and shortened the duration of ANC recovery (p-value 0.00 <0.05), recovery was 1.5 days shorter with filgrastim and 1.9 days with lenograstim. Conclusion: G-CSF Filgrastim and Lenograstim administration can increase ANC levels and shorten the duration of neutropenia treatment

Objective: To determine the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational communication with employee performance at Intan Medika Hospital. Methods: A correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach and the method of proportionate stratified random sampling was used. A total of 62 employees who had been working for more than 1 year were selected as the research sample. Data were collected using a closed questionnaire in April-May 2023, and analyzed using chi-square and logistic regression. Results: The multivariate analysis results, used logistic regression, indicate that the organizational communication variable has the most dominant influence with a value of Exp(B) = 4.543 compared to the job satisfaction variable, which has an Exp(B) value of 2.803..Conclusion: The organizational communication variable has the most dominant influence on the performance of employees. Management can provided a meeting program involving all employees to better accommodate organizational communication.

Abstract

Background: Interleukin 12 can destroy insulin-producing cells, suppresses IL4 production, and can stimulate the formation of Thelper1. Quercetin is a flavonoid suitable to be chosen as the lead compound for development of safe anti-diabetic agent because in addition to its anti-diabetic effect, quercetin shows also protective effect in pancreas track. Objective: This research aims to study the docking models of certain flavonoids and to predict the quercetin and triterpene derivatives inhibition activity on Interleukin12.Method: The molecular docking method was used using the PyRx program with the Autodock Vina menu. Results: IL-12 bond affinity with Dextromethoorpene results -7 kcal/mol as the highest affinity value energy while the lowest energy is -6.1 kcal/mol, IL-12 bond affinity value with Quercetin with the highest affinity value energy is -9 kcal/mol, and the lowest energy is -7.8kcal/mol. The affinity value IL-12 bond and triterpene with the highest affinity value is energy -7 .9 kcal/mol, and the lowest energy is -7.4 kcal/molConclusion: Quercetin, has hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic bonds, where the ligand of the Quercetin compound is the ligand that has the ability to form the best interactions and bonds with IL-12 receptors (4OG9)
