Abstract

AbstractBukuLimau Island is located in Bangka Belitung Provincewhich only have one kindergarten and elementary school. That area doesn’t have another school such as junior school level and above; because of the facilities in higher education levels after elementary school doesn’t exist effected interest’s students to continue to the next level due to the distance and costs that must be prepared to schools. In the other hand, the reading literacy of students becomes less especially the unavailability of a facilities in the school library. The method was used an individual approach carried out in groups into three parts (Edu-support team, motivation team, and counseling team). The activities found several results from three aspects: (1) Motivation Team, found the level of interest of students towards different learning; (2) The Counseling Team was formed a youth organization to organize the BukuLimauIsland community activities, such as competitions, routine recitation, mutual cooperation, etc.; (3) Edu-Support Team, improvement of 3 educational facilities, there were school library, village reading park, and public space. Keywords:buku limau island, library, reading literacy AbstrakDi Provinsi Bangka Belitung, tepatnya di Pulau Buku Limau hanya tersedia sarana pendidikan jenjang PAUD dan SD saja. Tidak adanya SMP, SMA; jenjang pendidikan lebih tinggi setelah sekolah dasar membuat siswa SD di Pulau Buku Limau banyak yang tidak memiliki minat untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang berikutnya dikarenakan jarak dan biaya yang harus di tempuh untuk ke sekolah-sekolah yang dituju. Oleh karena itu, minat baca siswa pun menjadi kurang terlebih tidak tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang memadai pada perpustakaan sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan secara individual yang dilaksanakan berkelompok menjadi tiga bagian (timedu-support, tim motivasi, dan tim bimbingan konseling). Ditemukan beberapa hasil dari tiga aspek: (1) Tim Motivasi, ditemukan tingkat minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang berbeda-beda; (2) Tim Konseling, membentuk organisasi remaja karang taruna guna menggerakkan kegiatan bermasyarakat Pulau Buku Limau, seperti lomba-lomba, pengajian rutin, gotong-royong, dan lain sebagainya; (3) Tim Edu-Support, perbaikan 3 sarana pendidikan yaitu perpustakaan sekolah, taman baca desa, dan lapangan serbaguna. Kata kunci:pulau buku limau, perpustakaan, literasi membaca

Abstract

Writing news in online media are still many that do not meet the requirements. News is written too long and follows the writing style in print media. Writing news in online media must be efficient and effective to be easily scanned by readers. Efficient and effective is different from print and television media. Online media space is very limited compared to the two media. If the news is made too long and long-winded, the reader will quickly saturate and make them reluctant to read it. In fact, the language of news in online media must be pleasing, readable and easy to understand. This is what underlies the writing training in online media for Inews TV employees in December 2018. The training is conducted by providing material on how to write good news in online media. After that, the news will be analyzed in the Inews TV online media, whether it has fulfilled the provisions. The results of the analysis are monitored together, is there still a lack of writing in the next edition. This training is expected to make employees more adept at writing news in online media. Abstract

Comunity service partners are the National Unity and Political Agencyof the Jakarta Provincial Gevernment. One of the tasks and functions of forming and fostering the National Integrity  Forum.Members came from representations of 34 ethnic provinces in Indonesia and 3 (three) from ethnic Chinese, Arabic and Indian descendants. The problem faced by partenrs is the desire to improve welfare and empower members to be able to try independently to strengthen economic recilience. But there is no appropriate place to the mobilize and empower the economy to be seen as the right way to achieve the goal.The method of activity is the transfer of knowledge andragogically by : assistance, consultation, socialization and the practice of establishing sharia coopratives jointly between national integrity forum with lecturers and community service implementing students, facilitated by theNational Unity and Political Agency of the Jakarta Provincial Gevernment.Providing tehnical assistance in establishing sharia cooperatives with direct involvement as managers and members of cooperatives.The result of community service is the National Sharia Cooperatuce characrterized by a notary deed of establishment and a cooperative legal entity. Abstract

Esa Unggul University conducted the community service at Hati Kudus Elementary School which is a private school in West Jakarta. It was selected because it required the development of creativity and reading literacy. Reading literacy is one of literacy programs determined by government and is expected to be a school life habit. Reading literacy activities is supposed to use the authentic reading sources in order to provide the factual information. The community service offered the authentic reading sources collaborated by onlineinfographic design application, thus, the students could absorb the information easily and presented their work using the interesting media. The community service could answer the school problem in enhancing the students’ creativity and reading literacy. The methods used were lecturing, exploring the application, simulating, discussion, demonstrating, and presenting the students’ work. The result showed that the students devoted their reading into infographic design work. They were enthusiastic by choosing the interesting features and they felt easily to present their work. It is expected to be an alternative solution in developing student’s creativity and reading literacy to be more authentic, meaningful, and interesting.  Keywords: Infographic design, creativity, reading literacy.

Abstract

The problems experienced by Nurcahaya and Citra Mandiri women fishing groups in the Terusan village in Mempawah Hilir sub-district are the sale of fresh fish, which are relatively cheap. The products are only salted fish and anchovy is made with very simple processing techniques with a relatively low selling price. The solution offered is Processed Fish and Waste Based Diversified Diversification. The purpose of this activity is to improve the standard of living of women fishermen groups through the dissemination of processing technologies for various fish-based processed products that can add to the selling value, be more durable and have higher nutrition. The methods used in this activity are counseling, demonstration, training and guidance in the process of making various processed fish products such as sausages, amplang, nuggets, abon and POC fish waste. Evaluation was carried out on all activities. From this activity it can be concluded that it turned out that more than 50% of the training participants understood the material presented even though there were still 25% who only understood enough. The application of various fish processed products there is 10% of participants will actively continue activities both for family consumption, sold and included in the menu list when there is an event even though most of the participants stated for family consumption (75%). Keywords: Fish, fishermen, processing.

Abstract

The problem faced by the Padagi farmer group and the Nuk Diri farmer group is that yellow pumpkins are only sold in young condition for their needs as vegetables or sold their leaves so that farmers often face problems in living standards below the poverty line. The young pumpkin fruit is sold from house to house or sold at the village market. Partners do not know how to diversify various pumpkin processed products that have added value, are more resistant to storage and have a higher selling price. The method used in this activity is counseling, demonstration, training, and guidance in the process of making various pumpkins processed products such as nuggets, jams, brownies, sticks, and jelly candies. The evaluation was carried out on all activities. From this activity, it can be concluded that the level of partner participation has a positive impact on program implementation during training and mentoring. Keywords: processed products, pumpkin, group of female farmers.

Abstract

The background of this activity is the increasing use of the Internet among children. Not only it formed an opinion but shaping the culture at large. The term of “social media” and "gadget" is becoming more popular, especially in the urban environment which is now a remarkable phenomenon. The use of social media and gadgets cannot be limited by age, even in children with early age. Lots of parents who work full time, this sometime has put aside the importance of monitoring or assisting their son / daughter when using the internet. It’s quite a dilemma, because the use gadgets took big part in modern social development. The Millennial, a generation formerly known as digital natives, the age group that is equated with "authenticity" or a native who had been born in the digital environment. The age group that can no longer be separated with the gadget. There must be understanding in the form of good guidance and supervision in order to create good progress. Youtube provided a lot of good video were uploaded both of individually and group. During watching youtube, the role of parent to monitor their children while watching is very important. To implanted as well as to grow awareness and understanding of the user within the age (teenage and children) that could use this instrument as well as possible.Keywords : Healthy internet, children,  youtube.

Abstract

AbstractThe low quality of life of patients with chronic diseases, especially diabetes mellitus and hypertension obtained from the results of previous studies initiated to educate patients with chronic diseases in the Ranggon 1 village health center by means of counseling. This extension explains the definition and importance of quality of life. Then explain the efforts to improve the quality of life of patients so as to optimize the prevention and treatment of the disease. Counseling is also included by measuring the quality of life of patients by distributing the WHOQOL-Bref questionnaire which is then used to profile quality of life, knowing which domains need improvement. Getting the lowest prayer is part of psychology and the environment. Counseling went smoothly and succeeded in increasing the knowledge of participants who 80% stated their agreement to get benefits according to their expectations. Therefore, it is expected that the implementation of this kind of activity can be carried out routinely so that it can monitor the patient's quality of life, with regards to optimize the patient's treatment process that must be undertaken. Keywords: quality of life, chronic diseases, counseling AbstrakRendahnya angka kualitas hidup pasien penyakit kronis, khususnya penyakit Diabetes Melitus dan hipertensi yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian sebelumnya menginisiasi untuk melakukan edukasi terhadap pasien penyakit kronis yang ada di Puskesmas kelurahan Ranggon 1 dengan cara penyuluhan. Penyuluhan ini menjelaskan mengenai definisi dan pentingnya kualitas hidup. Kemudian menjelaskanupaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan pencegahan dan pengobatan penyakit tersebut. Penyuluhan juga disertakan dengan melaksanakan pengukuran kualitas hidup pasien dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner WHOQOL-Bref yang kemudian digunakan datanya untuk memprofilkan kualitas hidup pasie, dengan mengenatahui domain mana yang perlu ditingkatkan. Didapatkan doamian terendah adalah bagian psikologi dan lingkungan.Penyuluhan berjalan dengan lancar dan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dari peserta yang 80% menyatakan persetujuannya mendapatkan manfaat sesuai dengan harapannya.Oleh karena itu diharapkan pelaksanaan kegiatan seperti ini dapat dilaksanakan rutin sehingga dapat memonitor kualitas hidup pasien. Abstract

AbstractA community service at the Al-Hasanah an Islamic Elementary School in Cijayanti Village, Sentul, West Java aims to provide knowledge to those students about the benefits of washing hands properly and exercising regularly. This Activity is a ‘mandate’ from the PHBS (The Clean and Healthy Life Program) of the Ministry of Health of Indonesia Republic. Health promotion methods which were used are face-to-face lecture, demonstrations/simulations and puppet play. We performed health education on Saturday at 08.00 – 12.00 am where pupils were doing free activities at school. Through question and answer session, we found out that the participants could answer every question regarding how to clean hands and the benefits of daily exercises. They were really happy to join our simple workout. The school manager stated that they would more than welcome to our community service activities and asked us to continue this program. Keywords: health, community, hand-washes, health education AbstrakPengabdian masyarakat di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al –Hasanah Desa Cijayanti, Sentul Jawa Barat bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan pada murid sekolah dasar tentang manfaat mencuci tangan dengan benar dan perlunya kegiatan fisik dalam keseharian. Kegiatan ini adalah amanah dari program PHBS (Program Hidup Bersih dan Sehat) Kementerian Kesehatan. Penyuluhan kesehatan menggunakan metoda ceramah tatap muka, demonstrasi/simulasi dan sandiwara boneka. Waktu yang digunakan adalah pukul 08.00 – 12.00 dan hari Sabtu dimana murid-murid sedang melakukan kegiatan bebas. Melalui tanya-jawab setelah penyuluhan berlangsung didapatkan umpan-balik yang positif dari peserta penyuluhan. Mereka mampu menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang kami ajukan. Mereka juga dengan gembira melakukan olah-raga ringan dengan dipimpin instruktur mahasiswa program studi Kesehatan Masyarakat Esa Unggul. Pengelola MI Al – Hasanah pun menyatakan bahwa mereka menanti kegiatan serupa bagi murid-murid baru sekolah dasar Al-Hasanah ini. Kata kunci: sehat, masyarakat, cuci-tangan, promosi kesehatan

Abstract

AbstractSDN Duri Kepa 17 Pagi and SDN Jelambar 01 Pagi have problems over pedagogic competency values that focus on the ability to understand the characteristics of the students. This is due to the absence of pedagogic pedagogy development programs for teachers after graduating from lectures and the challenges and developments of the era that influenced learning styles and educational interactions. So the solution offered is the accompaniment of Pedagogic Literacy Movement for the characteristics of learners. Method of implementation of socialization, training, self-evaluation, reflective pedagogical paradigm, exploration, simulation, documentation, discussion of friendship, mapping and practice. Objectives Outcome targets: (a) Training and advisory services of knowledge up to the formation of pedagogic competence, (b) Products: Modules, Worksheets, PPR matrices, Journal of Friendship, Matrix Johari Window and TSM, (c) HaKI, (d) Journal of Abdimas Esa Unggul University and additional procedural of SNIPMD, (e) Publication on Esa Superior University repository. The result obtained is an increase in pedagogic literacy. The conclusion is that there are improvements: (a) School paradigm as a learning organization, (b) pedagogic theory knowledge, (c) variation of teaching approach, (d) variation of teaching style, (e) communication model, (f). Ability to identify the characteristics of students, (g) attitude of entry behavior. Keywords: literacy skills, fishbond diagrams, long-term memory AbstrakSDS Hati Kudus memiliki permasalahan sebagai berikut: (a) Guru kelas 5 kurang kreatif dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran, (b) Kecenderungan guru kelas 5 untuk melatih siswa menghafal daripada memahami, (c) Guru kelas 5 tidak menggunakan tools belajar guna membantu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman yang berpengaruh kepada memori jangka panjang, (d) Siswa kelas 5 kurang mendapatkan kesempatan belajar memahami, (e) Belajar banyak terarah kepada konsep menghafal, (f) Penanaman kepercayaan diri belum optimal dan (g) Kurang kesempatan siswa kelas 5 untuk mengemukakan pemahamannya lewat sharing ataupun presentasi. Maka solusi yang ditawarkan: (a) Tahap 1. Pemetaan modalitas belajar siswa, (b) Tahap 2. Tahap memperkenalkan cara belajar memahami melalui penggunaan Fish bond diagram dengan kalimat eksplorasi 5W 1 H, (c) Tahap 3. Tahap bimbingan belajar memahami dengan menggunakan tools fish bond diagram dan pertanyaan eksplorasi 5W 1 H, (d) Tahap 4. Tahap memaparkan dan menjelaskan pemahaman melalui karya, dan (e) Tahap 5. Pengukuran dan Evaluasi Progra. Metode pelaksanaan adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan, evaluasi diri, paradigma pedagogik reflektif, eksplorasi, simulasi, dokumentasi, diskusi pertemanan, pemetaan dan praktek. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah: peningkatan kemampuan literasi dapat meningkat secara efektif dengan penggunaan Fishbond diagram. Kata kunci: kemampuan literasi, fishbond diagram, memori jangka panjang
