The journal AL-ULUM (Islamic thought and Educational Journal) published an article on the theme of education, using the language of Indonesia or the United Kingdom that includes the study of literature, conceptual thinking and research results in the field of education. These journals give priority to studies related to Islamic thought and education from different perspectives. This journal serves as a means and medium of communication that is used by researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and practitioners to examine education and Islamic thought. This journal became the medium of exchange of ideas and research findings from various traditions of interacting learning scientifically.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan media sosial dalam menunjang pemahaman peserta didik tentang ajaran agama Islam di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Zainul Hasan Genggong melalui pendekatan teori konstruktivisme. Fokus utama penelitian adalah bagaimana media sosial, sebagai alat pembelajaran interaktif, dapat memperkaya pengalaman belajar siswa melalui proses asimilasi dan akomodasi. Asimilasi terjadi ketika siswa mengintegrasikan informasi baru dari media sosial ke dalam pengetahuan yang sudah ada, sementara akomodasi melibatkan penyesuaian struktur kognitif mereka untuk memahami konsep atau perspektif baru yang ditemukan melalui media sosial. Melalui wawancara dan observasi, ditemukan bahwa guru di MTS Zainul Hasan Genggong secara aktif menggunakan media sosial untuk menyajikan materi ajaran agama Islam dalam bentuk video, kuis interaktif, dan diskusi online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial meningkatkan pemahaman, keterlibatan, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa terhadap ajaran agama Islam. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kompetensi digital bagi guru, peningkatan keterampilan digital siswa, serta integrasi teknologi dalam kurikulum institusi pendidikan untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang adaptif dan berbasis teknologi. Dengan demikian, media sosial dapat berperan sebagai alat efektif dalam memperkaya pengalaman belajar siswa dan mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi dunia digital yang terus berkembang. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi yang sangat luas, baik dalam konteks pendidikan agama Islam, pengembangan teknologi pendidikan, maupun kebijakan pendidikan secara umum.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a source of knowledge, which explains several fields of science and knowledge for mankind to think about. With reason, humans can utilize this reason by thinking, which will add new insights. The aim of writing this scientific work is to find out the Al-Qur'an approach to improving the mind according to Huda Abdul Rahim Muhammad Qasim Mimany. The method used in this research is the library method by collecting data sources from books, journals, articles and other references related to the research. Meanwhile, the data analysis used is content analysis. This research produced findings, namely: 1) The Qur'an explains how important it is to use the mind in achieving the goals of life on earth, which is explained in surah al-Baqarah verse 164 and surah an-Nahl verse 125. 2 ) Humans have five senses and conscience can help him to understand his environment, based on surah al-Jasiyah verse 13. Apart from that, human thought is a guide to knowing the truth and achieving the truth by carrying out his obligations and good deeds. 3) Allah SWT glorifies humans who think and have knowledge, because knowledge is the path to God, while reason is the part of humans who think, reflect, and through this gain knowledge. 4) The Qur'an as a source of knowledge, which explains several fields of science and knowledge for mankind. This research has enormous potential to make a positive contribution to various aspects of life. This research can be a basis for developing programs that are more effective in improving the quality of human life.

Abstract

Education and morals are two main components that cannot be separated and are interrelated, because they both have a major role in shaping human character in the future. If moral education can be implemented well, all human activities will not be in vain and the goal of moral education, changing attitudes from bad to good, can be optimal. The aim of writing this scientific work is to find out how to build good morals through moral education. This research uses a library method by collecting several books, journals, articles and other related matters to be used as reference material. Meanwhile, for data analysis, content analysis is used. This research produced the following findings: 1) the home and school environment must be improved so that children can focus and participate actively in life, 2) the main and first moral education can start from home or family life towards individual formation, 3) How to improve mental health children and avoiding negative morals can be through learning Islamic worship, 4) Preparing children to consider their rights and obligations in the home environment, 5) Parents can give children the freedom to develop their abilities and desires without restrictions or coercion. So that the best character or morals will be created. Research on the study of children's morals in the book Tarbiyah wal Akhlak by Yak'ub Faam has very broad implications, both in the context of Islamic education, developing children's character, and understanding the thinking of classical scholars. The implications of this research are theoretical, practical and policy implications.

Abstract

The quality of education is closely related to the quality of teaching staff at all levels of education. Teachers play a central role in shaping a superior and competitive generation. This research aims to explore the strategies of school principals to improve the quality of teachers and other education personnel. To better understand the actions taken by school principals to optimize the quality of teaching through the implementation of Total Quality Management based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, this study uses a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. Based on the findings of the research, Insan principals have implemented a structured and sustainable approach to improving teacher quality through various strategies, including selective teacher recruitment, teacher personality, and competency development, involvement in training and workshops, and awarding outstanding teachers. The implementation of the PDCA cycle in each strategic step allows school principals to monitor, evaluate, and make necessary improvements on a regular basis. The implications of this study enrich the study of education quality management in the form of learning quality, teacher effectiveness, and a culture of continuous improvement in schools. In addition, strategies (Palan, Do, Check, and Act). Then provide recommendations to education policymakers, both at the school level, the education office, and the government.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to thoroughly examine the elements of the curriculum and its development innovations in the context of education in the 2024 digital era. A flexible and inventive curriculum is increasingly needed along with technological advances. Literature content analysis and interviews with education experts and curriculum developers are part of the qualitative methodology used in this study. The results of the study show that the new digital curriculum can increase student engagement and enable more personalized and flexible learning. However, these innovations still face challenges, such as a lack of technological infrastructure and sufficient teacher training. In conclusion, the development of innovative curriculum elements requires strong education policy support and adequate resource allocation. The implications of this study reinforce the theory that the curriculum is not just a static document, but a dynamic system that continues to evolve with the changing times. The integration of digital technology in curriculum development supports constructivism theory and technology-based learning approaches, which allow for a more interactive, personalized, and flexible learning experience. In addition, this research enriches the understanding of how curriculum elements (objectives, content, strategies, evaluation) can be optimized through digital innovation.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is the role of Maqashid Sharia in forming a moderate mindset that respects diversity and maintains a balance between personal and social religious beliefs. In the perspective of Maqashid Sharia, religious moderation does not only include aspects of religious formalities, but refers to the main goal of sharia, namely the benefit of the people. Maqashid Sharia emphasizes five main principles: (hifz al-din), (hifz al-nafs), (hifz al-aql), (hifz al-nasl), and (hifz al-mal). This research uses a qualitative approach with a focus on the analysis of Islamic texts related to the concept of religious moderation. The main data sources of this research consist of classical and modern literature derived from the works of scholars such as Al-Ghazali, Al-Syatibi, and Yusuf Al-Qaradawi. The results obtained in this study are that the concept of religious moderation in Maqashid Syariah provides an overview that Muslims can avoid extremism and intolerance, encouraging the creation of a peaceful and inclusive society. In Indonesia, as a diverse country in terms of religion and culture, the application of religious moderation values from the perspective of Maqashid Syariah is very relevant to strengthen national unity and unity. The implications of this study reinforce the concept of religious moderation as part of Maqashid Shari'ah, which emphasizes balance in religion to maintain the sustainability of a harmonious social life, this research enriches the study of the relationship between moderate Islamic teachings and national values, reinforcing the narrative that Islam and nationality are not two contradictory things.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of morality in creating religious harmony and tolerance, in addition, the challenges and opportunities faced in the implementation of morality in the context of diversity. This approach focuses on interfaith dialogue that builds bridges of communication and mutual understanding, as well as respect for differences as elements that enrich social life. The methods applied in this study include literature review to explore relevant theories and concepts, as well as interviews with religious leaders and various members of society. Through this interview, it is hoped that a comprehensive perspective can be obtained regarding the application of morals in the practice of religious moderation, including the challenges faced and the successes that have been achieved. The results of the study show that the role of morality not only strengthens religious moderation but also encourages active community involvement in building a harmonious community. By prioritizing mutual respect and understanding, individuals from various religious backgrounds can work together in various aspects of social life. These findings emphasize the importance of moral education in the religious education curriculum as a foundation for sustainable moderation so that future generations are able to face the challenges of diversity with a constructive and inclusive attitude. This research emphasizes that morality plays an important role in religious moderation, encouraging tolerance, social harmony, and inclusive attitudes, so as to create a peaceful and balanced religious life in society.

Abstract

Social media is one of the effective means of spreading the message, including in the context of Islamic da'wah, various platforms such as Instagram have allowed preachers to reach a wider audience. One of the preachers who utilizes this technology is Ustadz Abi Azkakia who creatively combines da'wah messages with popular games. This research aims to analyze da'wah messages packaged through social media. This study uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method. Data was collected through non-participant observation of the content of posts on Instagram accounts. The results of the study show that he is able to package da'wah messages in an attractive style and in accordance with the daily life of game players. These messages emphasized the importance of maintaining a sportsmanship, avoiding negative behaviors such as toxic gaming, and reminding people of religious obligations that must still be fulfilled, even in the midst of busy playing games. By utilizing a platform that is favored by the younger generation, this da'wah becomes easier to accept and understand. Utilize Instagram and Mobile Legends as effective media to spread Islamic values in a contextual, relevant, and attractive manner to young audiences. This research shows that da'wah through Mobile Legends on Instagram is effective in conveying Islamic messages digitally. This approach increases the involvement of the younger generation in understanding Islamic values through popular and interactive media.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic thought in da'wah faces major challenges in the digital era, including the rapid development of information technology that affects people's understanding of Islamic teachings and the increasing flow of secular and liberal thought. On the one hand, the digital era provides a great opportunity to spread Islamic values more widely and effectively. This research aims to examine the challenges faced by contemporary Islamic da'wah in the digital era and offer relevant solutions. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach, which analyzes various sources related to Islamic thought, da'wah, and digital technology. The results of the study show that the first challenge faced by Islamic da'wah in the digital era is the shift in communication media. The second challenge is the issue of religious authority in digital da'wah. Digital platforms allow anyone to express their views on religion, including those who do not have an adequate religious education background. To overcome these challenges, contemporary Islamic thought offers several solutions in the context of da'wah in the digital era. The first solution is to develop a more creative and adaptive da'wah approach to technology. The second is the importance of verifying and curating da'wah information in digital media. The implication of this research is that contemporary Islamic thought faces the challenges of digitalization, but also offers innovative da'wah solutions. The wise use of technology can increase the effectiveness of the spread of moderate and relevant Islamic teachings for modern society.

Abstract

The digital era has significantly changed the attitude of Islamic da'wah, encouraging dai and ulama to adapt da'wah methods and approaches to be more relevant and effective. This research aims to explore contemporary Islamic thought related to the transformation of da'wah in the midst of the development of digital technology. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach, examining various sources of literature, journals, scientific articles, and case studies related to the implementation of digital da'wah. The results of this study show that Islamic thought and the transformation of da'wah in the digital era have five things that include Islamic thought in the context of da'wah, the transformation of da'wah in the digital era, changes in da'wah media, the use of technology to improve the quality of da'wah, and the dissemination of Islamic messages at a higher speed. Thus, this digital era shows that the transformation of da'wah in the digital era not only involves changes in media and platforms but also demands new approaches in delivering messages that are in accordance with the characteristics of modern audiences. Islamic thinking about da'wah now involves a more inclusive strategy, the use of communication technology, and the use of social media to reach a wider audience. In addition, digital da'wah faces challenges such as misinformation, polarization, and limited direct interaction. The implications of the research are that ethical guidelines and the development of digital literacy are needed for Dai to maintain the integrity of Islamic da'wah.
