Abstract

The rapidly increasing quantities of waste generated, especially in urban areas such as Jakarta, becomes a major concern of various stakeholder. With the average of waste per person per day by 1 kg, it is estimated that Jakarta produces 7,000 ton tons of urban waste per day in 2017.  The dominant type of urban waste in Jakarta after organic waste is paper waste (18.4%) and plastic waste (13.2%).  Present disposal and processing capacity is probably not sufficient to deal with the expected growth. The community's active role in dealing with municipal solid waste issues through the concept of 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) will reduce the burden of waste that must be transported to the landfill. In South Meruya Village, West Jakarta, two groups of PKK (empowerment of family welfare) women, which are processing urban wastes from plastic solid waste and paper waste. Unfortunately, PKK South Meruya womens have never attended business development training, product quality is also less competitive, not innovative, its market reach is still very limited. The purpose of this activity is to improve the skill of producing quality creative products according to market demand, expand marketing reach by utilizing ICT technology, and improve management of group business. The method used combines lecture approach, mentoring, discussion, simulation and practice. Creative products produced include wallets, bags, ornamental flowers, tissue containers, and cup lamps. Through a partnership with higher education institution, the group of South Meruya PKK women is targeted to increase the quantity and quality of creative products produced, as well as its market reach. Dynamic improvement of understanding and skill of South Meruya PKK mothers in managing urban waste 3R resulted in greenpreneurship model of urban waste-based creative products.

Abstract

One of the government's efforts to improve public services is through the development of a digital village program, to make the village a development area that empowers people with information technology facilities. Guwang Village is one of the villages that is already connected to ICT but has not implemented a digital village program. The problems faced are (1) Limited knowledge in applying information technology to provide optimal public services, (2) Limited resources, and (3) Village officials do not have the knowledge and ability to implement the SID. Through this community service program the solutions provided are (1) Counseling about the application of information technology in providing public services, (2) Counseling about digital village programs and SID, (3) Application of digital villages through OpenSID and (4) Training and mentoring use of OpenSID in the form of the Guwang Village website. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge in providing public services by applying information technology. Methods of implementing community service activities with counseling and training. The results achieved, as many as 91% of participants understood the application of information technology in providing public services and as many as 84% understood about digital village programs and OpenSID.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam meningkatkan pelayanan publik adalah melalui pengembangan program desa digital. Program desa digital merupakan program untuk menjadikan desa sebagai wilayah pembangunan yang memberdayakan masyarakat dengan sarana teknologi informasi. Desa Guwang yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Gianyar merupakan salah satu desa yang sudah terhubung dengan TIK namun belum menerapkan program desa digital. Permasalahan yang dihadapi Desa Guwang adalah (1)Keterbatasan pengetahuan perangkat desa dalam menerapkan teknologi informasi untuk memberikan pelayanan publik yang optimal, (2)Keterbatasan sumber daya, serta (3)Perangkat desa belum memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam menerapkan Sistem Informasi Desa (SID). Melalui program pengabdian ini solusi yang diberikan adalah (1)Penyuluhan tentang penerapan teknologi informasi dalam memberikan pelayanan publik, (2)Penyuluhan tentang program desa digital dan SID, (3)Penerapan desa digital melalui SID berbasis open source dan (4)Pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan SID berupa website Desa Guwang. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada perangkat desa dalam memberikan pelayanan publik dengan menerapkan teknologi informasi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dengan penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Hasil yang dicapai pada kegiatan pengabdian ini sebanyak 91% peserta memahami penerapan teknologi informasi dalam memberikan pelayanan publik serta sebanyak 84% memahami tentang program desa digital dan Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) berbasis open source.

Abstract

AGAPE tutoring program was conducted by lecture of mathematics education department because it sees the children’s need for additional learning after school either academically or mentally. This tutoring program helps students in doing homework from the subjects provided in the school and helps them with lessons that they have not yet understood. In addition to helping the tutee in cognitive understanding activities, the tutors also instill good moral values to the tutee such as how to speak, act towards older people and others. It also prepares tutors with the necessary skills that they will need in the future. It was held at 7.00-9.00 pm. In Bonang every Monday to Wednesday with SPV Mrs. Sianturi, and in GMI every Monday with SPV Mrs. Aling. Students were grouped according to their needs, and each tutor was responsible for each group. It was found that students who joined this tutoring program have a high interest. Evaluation of the guidance program to be revealed is about the readiness and response of student tutors, SPV place of learning, and tutee.

Abstract

The era of globalization continues to press the poor with lower levels of economic life. Therefore, FLipMAS Batobo with FLipMAS Indonesia and CSR-SMEPP Pertamina (Persero) conduct an analysis approach, strategy that can be implemented to eliminate poverty. One of the strategies undertaken is the empowerment of society with the concept of Community Economic Area (KEM). After conducting survey and location analysis, Kampung Bantalan, Tembilahan Seberang Sub-district, Indragiri Hilir Regency became one of the locations of empowerment called KEM Pertamina Flip Bantalan. The empowerment activities began in December 2014 and the investment process was completed in June 2017 on a land area of ± 6 Ha which then expanded to ± 20 Ha. Programs implemented in KEM Bantalan include infrastructure development such as guard houses, water sources and lighting sources of KEM (PLTS) areas. The fields that activities include agriculture (chili, gambas, eggplant, long bean,), fishery (catfish cultivation, indigo) and plantation (citrus, watermelon, banana, coconut). After almost 3 years the value of IPM of KEM Bantalan population increased by ± 40% from the IPM value of early December 2014 period of 49.89 (low category) to 79.69 (middle and upper category) in the period of March 2017. And up to December 2017, Bantalan has reached Rp. 475.581.100, -. This value will continue to grow considering the area of KEM is still productive.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) seminar and workshop are targeted at lecturers. It is because a lecturer has three main responsibilities which are teaching, doing research, and conducting community service. Lecturers as professional teachers have to understand pedagogy, educational administration, assessment, and evaluation as well as other activities depending on the class situation. In this seminar and workshop, lecturers will be exposed to CAR as a research method which is integrated with the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Thus, research as well as the teaching and learning process could be designed simultaneously. The lecturers are also expected to understand CAR’s framework and be able to write a draft journal which is ready to be published.Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak: Seminar Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan latihan menulis jurnal ini dikhususkan bagi dosen, karena dosen memiliki tiga tugas utama, yaitu mengajar, meneliti, dan mengabdi pada masyarakat. Dosen sebagai pengajar profesional harus memahami pedagogi, administrasi pendidikan, evaluasi dan penilaian dan kegiatan-kegiatan lainnya yang berhubungan dengan situasi kelas. Melalui seminar dan pelatihan ini akan dipaparkan mengenai PTK sebagai metode penelitian yang terintegrasi dengan proses pembelajaran dalam kelas. Dengan demikian, penelitian dan pengajaran dapat dirancang secara bersamaan. Melalui seminar ini diharapkan peserta mampu memahami kerangka PTK dan mampu membuat draf jurnal yang siap dipublikasi.

Abstract

The community service activities carried out by community service teams of IIB Darmajaya is part of the scheme of Entrepreneurship Development Program from Kemenristekdikti grant. The focus of Entrepreneurship Development Program are the implementation of the campus entrepreneurial atmosphere development model through the integration of various functions at the Campus of IIB Darmajaya, starting from strengthening busines and technology incubator, colaboration of various campus internal department, establishing an academic system which supports entrepreneurial learning, introducing information technological based creative economy to students as the foundation for their business and the involvement of entreprenuerial community. The community service methods were carried out are seminars, lectures, training and workshop, consultation to coordination with stakeholder which have important role in determining the success of tenants on developing their business. The results of this community service activities are an integrative campus entrepreneurship development process and 8 tenants students who will be nurtured by business and technology incubator of IIB Darmajaya with also involving entrepreneur lecturers. Its hoped with the success of this Entrepreneurship Development Program, it will become an example for other universities that want to develop an information technological based creative economy atmosphere effectively.

Abstract

Early detection of degenerative disease can be done by capillary blood screening. Church X Health Commision has a regular working program of blood screening test. However, most of the members of the committee do not have enough knowledge and skills of in performing cappilarry blood drawing technique and managing medical waste. This community service aims to provide information and to train the Health Commission committee in Church X in conducting standard blood tests and managing medical waste. The training methods were lecture, discussion, demonstration and redemonstration to six participants of Health Commission. Participants worked on the pretest questions, were provided training materials, and discussion session. Then, the facilitators supervised the participants to demonstrate blood examination techniques and medical waste disposal practice using digital blood test kits, safety boxes, jerry cans, yellow and black plastic bags. Participants practiced the activities three to five times. At the end of the training, participants filled out the posttest questionnaire. Paired t Test results showed that the mean pretest score was 47.92, while the mean posttest score was 83.33 (p value 0.005). It was concluded that there was a significant difference between the average knowledge scores of the participants before and after the training. It is hoped that the Health Commission Committee can apply the knowledge and skills that have been acquired in this service.

Abstract

The home industry is a type of business that has a characteristic in terms of minimal capital, most of the business owners are the head of the household, and the workforce comes from the family. The partner industries are home industries from Ni Ketut Niliati and Ni Wayan Suriati. The second business of the partners is engaged in the business of making and selling chips. There are several obstacles faced by partners in the limitations of production aids, product packaging, product storage, lack of financial management and limitations in terms of marketing. Based on the problems faced, the activities carried out gradually began production management to marketing. Activities begin with socialization, provision of equipment as production aids, packaging design, and training, financial management training, preparation and training on the use of social media/websites. Giving equipment has helped partners increase production and speed up the production process. Financial management training is carried out by providing training in recording orders and simple cash books. Based on the activities carried out the results obtained were an increase in production both quality and quantity by 35%, the creation of simple cash books, order books, packaging labeling, and social media/website marketing. With the help of labeling, product packaging is becoming more attractive to buyers and can be a promotional medium because it contains information on kripik businesses. With the presence of social media/website marketing, information related to the chip cracker business can be widespread.Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak: Industri rumah tangga adalah jenis usaha yang memiliki ciri khas dalam hal modal yang minim, sebagian besar pemilik usaha adalah kepala rumah tangga, dan tenaga kerja berasal dari pihak keluarga. Industri rumah tangga yang menjadi mitra yaitu industri rumah tangga dari Ni Ketut Niliati dan Ni Wayan Suriati yang berlokasi di Desa Parean Kecamatan Baturiti Kab. Tabanan. Usaha kedua mitra bergerak dibidang usaha pembuatan dan penjualan kripik rempeyek. Terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh mitra dalam keterbatasan alat bantu produksi, kemasan produk, tempat penyimpanan produk, kurangnya manajemen keuangan serta keterbatasan dalam hal pemasaran. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi, maka kegiatan dilakukan bertahap mulai manajemen produksi sampai pemasaran. Kegiatan dimulai dengan sosialisasi, pemberian peralatan sebagai alat bantu produksi, pelatihan pengemasan dan desain label kemasan, pelatihan manajemen keuangan, pembuatan dan pelatihan penggunaan media sosial/website. Pemberian peralatan telah membantu mitra meningkatkan produksi dan mempercepat proses produksi. Pelatihan manajemen keuangan dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan pencatatan order dan buku kas sederhana. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil yaitu peningkatan produksi baik kualitas maupun kuantitas sebesar 35%., terciptanya buku kas sederhana, buku order, labeling kemasan dan media sosial/website pemasaran. Dengan bantuan labeling, kemasan produk menjadi lebih menarik minat pembeli dan dapat menjadi media promosi karena berisi informasi tempat usaha kripik. Abstract

Kualu Nenas is a village in Kampar Regency with a distance about 27 km from the outskirt of Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This village is located in peatland where a majority of people are farmers and traders. Pineapple is the primary commodity that is most dependable and very suitable in peat areas. Peat has low pH and acidic water that makes the soil cannot be planted for vegetables, so alternative farming or gardening system needs to be introduced to the community of Kualu Nenas. This condition becomes a reason for this community service activity to use Future Innovative Tool Pot (FITPOT) as an alternative gardening system in peatland. The FITPOT, a hydroponic gardening system, utilizing a peat water purification unit and hydroponic tools contains water as a medium for planting vegetables in the peat area. In this activity, the community service team presented information and training on how to build the FITPOT installation. Participants were very active and engaged in the training and started to seedling the plants after the training for the FITPOT. Results show the FITPOT is considered an alternative method to produce high-quality vegetables for the community consumption and potentially will provide a side income for people in Kualu Nenas village.Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak: Desa Kualu Nenas merupakan salah satu desa di Kabupaten Kampar berjarak sekitar 27 km dari pinggir Kota Pekanbaru, Provinsi Riau. Desa ini terletak di lahan gambut dengan mayoritas masyarakat berprofesi sebagai petani dan pedagang. Nenas menjadi komoditi utama yang paling diandalkan dan sangat cocok untuk ditanam di daerah gambut. Tanah gambut memiliki pH tanah dan air yang asam, hal itu menjadikan tanah gambut tidak dapat ditanami sayuran sehingga teknik berkebun alternatif perlu diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat desa Kualu Nenas. Kondisi tersebut melatarbelakangi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk Future Innovative Tool Pot (FITPOT) sebagai berkebun di lahan gambut. FITPOT, sistem berkebun hidroponik, menggunakan unit penjernihan air gambut dan perlengkapan hidroponik yang berisi air sebagai media menanam sayuran di lahan gambut. Pada kegiatan ini, tim pengabdian masyarakat memberikan informasi dan penyuluhan mengenai cara membuat instalasi FITPOT. Peserta sangat aktif dalam penyuluhan dan mulai menyemai sayuran setelah penyuluhan untuk FITPOT. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa FITPOT merupakan metode alternatif untuk memperoleh sayuran berkualitas tinggi untuk konsumsi komunitas dan berpotensi memberikan pendapatan sampingan untuk masyarakat desa Kualu Nenas.

Abstract

DKI Jakarta is currently in a state of waste emergency because Bantar Gebang landfill is estimated to reach its full capacity by 2021. This problem should not be solely solved by the city’s administrator but must also involve all citizens. As one of the efforts to contribute to the solution, training was given to representatives from RW 1 – 4 in Cempaka Putih Timur village. These representatives consist of community groups (RW) leaders, neighborhood groups (RT) leaders, and environmentalist. The goal of the training was to educate the representatives on how to manage waste properly, starting from reducing waste until the method of handling waste before it is disposed of. The final goal is to apply the content of the training in the village and reduce the amount of waste delivered to Bantar Gebang landfill. The approach used in the training was student – centered learning to improve the participants’ understanding. The activity was started with a discussion, followed by sharing of waste management method, followed by games for deeper understanding. The analysis of the result of the training, analyzed by the difference in pre – game and post game’s score and survey to the trainees, indicates an increased understanding of the participants.
