JIPES (Journal of Indonesian Physical Education and Sport) is international and multidisciplinary journal that designed to stimulate and communicate high scholarly inquiry related to physical education activities and sports. The JIPES aims to publish articles and news features reflecting items of theoretical, applied, and professional interest drawn in physical education and sports. In particular, the JIPES will seek to emphasize articles that advance best practice in the areas of physical education and sports. JIPES articles publish with vital research regarding physical performance of individuals with intellectual disabilities, adults with traumatic brain injuries, international perspectives on the definition of adapted physical activity, the responsibilities and training needs of educators in physical education, competence satisfaction, and the effects of sport participation on the sport skills and physical self of adolescents. The emphasis is on informative articles of interest for teachers of Health and Physical Education encompassing curriculum in schools, junior sport, nutrition, fitness and physical activity, and insights into future ways of motivating children and young people to be active and health

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to adapt the Algerian football players of general self-efficacy scale (GSES) developed by Schwarzer & Jerusalem (1995) which were adapted into more than thirty-three languages. The study conducted on a total of 216 male football players, ranging in age from 15-18 years. After translating the scale according to the local language, it was presented to specialists in psychology and sports psychology to formulate it to suit the applied category. the principal components analysis with varimax rotation was used for the construct validity.The results indicated that there are two-factor structure, the two factors together explained 54.5 % of the total variance. The reliability scales were found by Alpha Cronbach coefficient (0.79). These results confirmed that the self-efficacy scale among football players valid and reliable. It is necessary to conduct future studies in the local culture and on different sports and ages.

Abstract

Evaluation is an important part in the learning series, as well as in the physical education learning series. Even from the evaluation process carried out in schools, a teacher will get a picture of the learning achievement. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the level of perception, understanding, application and achievement of the process carried out by physical education teachers at the primary school level in the evaluation of physical education learning. The method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey approach. The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire) distributed to all physical education teachers in SD in Cibiru District, totaling 30 people. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis as outlined in percentages and the results of this study showed that the level of perceptions of physical education teachers in the evaluation of physical education learning in elementary schools in Cibiru District was 6.67% (2 teachers) in the very high category, 26 , 66% (8 teachers) in the high category, 36.67% (11 teachers) in the medium category, 23.33% (7 teachers) in the low category and 6.67% (2 teachers) in the very low category. Thus it can be concluded that most of the physical education teachers' perceptions of the evaluation of physical education learning in SDs in Cibiru District, Bandung City are moderate with the amount of 36.67%.

Abstract

This research looks for the effect of treatment of an exercise whether training is a power leg type of exercise jump to box with an incline bound has an effect on the speed and accuracy of the takraw service. The basis of this method is that experimentation is a research technique based on experiment by holding a preliminary test and a final test then tested for correctness. Research method is an absolute requirement of a study. The use of methods in scientific research must be precise and lead to the goal, provide accurate outlines and propose new conditions. In finding answers to this research, various methods such as survey, descriptive, correlation or experimental methods are used. In this study is to find whether there is a cause and effect relationship, in connection with which used in this research is the experimental method. Based on theF value calculated for the speed data of 5,612 <F table of 0.039 with a significance value of 0.05, which means that there is a difference in the increase in speed between the two groups after being given training, while for the accuracy data it is obtained Fcount = 0.621 with p value = 0.261> 0.05, which means that there is a difference in the increase in accuracy between the two groups after being given the exercise. Based on the results of the analysis, it provides an overview of training power leg using plyometrics with inclne bound and jump to box exercises that have an effect on increasing service speed and affect the accuracy of service.

Abstract

The goal of this research and development is to produce development model training ball handling basketball for basketball athlete Senior High School. This research and development also done to find out in depth about: increased mobility in basketball athlete Senior High School and know the success rate development model training ball handling basketball reviewed from : effective, efficient, traction, productivity of the athlete in doing ball handling basketball for basketball athlete Senior High School. This research and development uses qualitative and uses development research methods Research and Development (R & D) Borg W. R and Gall. M. D. which uses 10 stages of development. The steps in this development research start from the following : (1) Research and information collecting, (2) Planning, (3) Develop preliminary form of product, (4) Preliminary field testing, (5) Main product revision, (6) Main field testing, (7) Operational product revision, (8) Operational field testing, (9) Final product revision, (10) Dissemination and implementation. Subjects in research and development is basketball athlete Senior High School. The results of this effectiveness test model training are uses statistical test with formula before-after (pre-test and post-test). The result of the pre-test calculation resulted in 781 with average 50,39 while the post-test resulted in 818 with average 52,77. Thus it can be concluded that the use of development model training ball handling basketball athlete Senior High School is effective in improving the individual skills of basketball athlete Senior High School.

Abstract

This study focused on the effects of anthropometric variables on male handball champions in West Africa. An ex-post facto research design was adopted. The population of all male handball players in the West African University Games (University of Ilorin; University of Ghana and University of Abomey-Calavi) were participants in the study. Two research instruments were adopted in this study this includes measuring tape and a standard handball court. Census sampling technique was used to select all 37 players available during the contest. Census method is the method of statistical enumeration where all members of the population are studied . These players composed of (Wrist (cm) 18.88, Chest (cm) 17.78, mid-thigh(cm) 18.35, Wrist (cm) 91.96, Chest (cm) 95.02, mid-thigh 89.83, Wrist (cm) 49.37, mid-thigh 55.04, Wrist (cm) 49.26). To test a substantive difference between the groups determined at 0.05alpha significant levels, descriptive and inferential statistics for t test and ANOVA Scheffe post hoc, multiple comparison tests were adopted. The results of this study showed that men players had considerable differences in anthropometric measurements. As the men's players were significantly different in the handle circumference (f=4.624>3.32 (0.05) df36); chest circumference (f=.750<3.32(0.05) df36). Coaches were recommended to focus on these variables in selecting and coaching processes (Wrist circumference, Chest curvature, Thigh). This study also recommends that this profiling should be adopted in players’ selection and the development of sport specific programs. Key words: Anthropometric, Performance, Wrist girth.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the physical fitness of students at SMAN 18 Palembang. This type of research is included in the experimental research category. The sample in this study were 30 female students at SMAN 18 Palembang. Data obtained through the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) in numerical units. While the data analysis used different test techniques (t-test). The results of data analysis show that Mixed Impact Aerobic exercise has a significant effect on improving the Physical Fitness of students at SMAN 18 Palembang where tcount ﹥ t table = 3.58> 1.699.

Abstract

Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The study compared the physical characteristics and fitness levels of day and boarding students in Offa Local Government Area, Kwara State. The population for this study comprised 210 students in day and boarding schools in Offa LGA. Systematic sampling technique was used to select 20 students each from day and boarding school. Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study, Standardized instrument (stadiometer, body fat/hydration monitoring scale, measuring non-elastic tape, stop watch, whistle, floor mat, sit and reach box) were used for the study. Split half method was used to ascertain the reliability of the instrument and a correlation coefficient of 0.63r was obtained. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation and inferential statistic of t-test were used to analyse the data . It findings revealed that boarding students were taller than the day students while both groups were physically fit and healthy. Furthermore, day and boarding students were significantly different in their cardio-respiratory endurance while both were not significantly different in muscular strength and body flexibility. It was therefore recommended that there should be a regular physical fitness assessment and screening consideration for students in day and boarding schools for early detection of any deviation from normalcy to take immediate corrective action while the school should organise physical fitness programme for all students on regular basis to develop their cardio respiratory endurance, muscular strength and body flexibility. Abstract

Based on the observations in the field, it showed that of SSB Tunas Jaya Jambi often fail when they were doing football skills. Besides, the exercise method was not systematic and football skill was still not perfect. Therefore, this study aimed at observing the effect of commando style exercise methods, exploration style exercise method and practicing motivation toward football skill. This was a quasi-experimental research. The populations of the research were the athletes of Tunas Jaya SSB Jambi that consisted of 90 people. The group of samples was taken through purposive sampling. The samples treathment in this research were 48, after they were divided into groups in which 27% was related to the high level of practicing motivation and 27% was related to low level of practicing motivation. The instruments of practicing motivation were measured through questionnaires and football skill was measured through test consisting of four forms of test, such as dribbling, short passed, shooting at the goal, and ball control. The data obtained were analyzed by using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) of two lines and tukey test. The results of this research indicate that: (1) commando style exercise methods is more effectively used to enhance the football skill than exploration style exercise methods, (2) there is interaction between the method of exercises and practicing motivation toward football skill, (3) in the high level of practicing motivation, commando style exercise method is more effective than the exploration style exercise methods to enhance football skills, and (4) in the low level of practicing motivation, exploration style exercise method is more effective than commando style exercise methods to enhance the football skill

Abstract

The purpose this article is explain about influence the exercise spin serve on lawn tennis model based kinovea. The article will expose result of research in an effort to improved spin serve skills on lawn tennis. Method the research is experiment pretest - posttest control group design. The participant is 60 college student which can played lawn tennis with average abilities. The participant divided two group, the treatment and control group, 30 participants each. The research was conducted on sport science faculty state University of Makassar for two months. Implementation of treatment thrice e weeks and total 18 meetings. Data analysis have used parametric statistic. Researchers have tested data normality, homogeneity, as well independent and paired test, have used computer with SPSS program. The results of study have shown that there have been significant differences before and after exercise using spin serve model based of kinovea. Statistical result obtained by the t value of 3.08, the average value of -8.60m degree of freedom = 29, and sig. 0.000 (P<0.05). There has also been a significant difference between the treatment and control groups, it is obtained the statistical t value of 13.36, degree of freedom=58, and the sig. 0.000 (P<0.05).

Abstract

Low fitness is a projection of low movement skills and student learning energy so that it is possible to experience a decrease in mastery of the values ​​of each subject. This study was to analyze the effectiveness of the contextual-based yoga learning model (PYBK) on the character of the VIII grade junior high school students. This study used a quantitative research design with the type of research, namely experimental with this research design following the basic pattern of experimental design with the design of the Post Test Only Control Group Design to determine the character of the students. This research was conducted in junior high schools with a population of 144 students divided into 5 classes. The research sample was taken by random sampling technique so that two classes were determined to be the sample of this study. Class A with 27 students as the control group and class D with 30 students as the experimental group. The method used to collect data in this study is non-test. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential. The data obtained were analyzed using the prerequisite test and t test for different samples using the help of the SPSS 25.0 for Windows program. The results of the hypothesis testing conducted showed the significance level of the Character count of 0,000. This result is smaller than the significance (α) 0.05. This means that there is a significant difference between students who were taught with the contextual-based Yoga learning model (PYBK) and students who were not taught with contextual-based Yoga learning models, after learning PJOK with the PYBK model.
