Abstract

Tumbang Rungan Village is one of the villages located in Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. This village is one of the locations that have great potential for medicinal herbs (THBO). Many traditional medicines are marketed in the Central Kalimantan region made from THBO from the village of Tumbang Rungan. THBO from Tumbang Rungan Village is believed by the community to be able to treat various diseases including treating tonsillitis, coughing, asthma explosions, stamina enhancer in men, antidiabetic, diuretic, and healing wounds. But this is still empirical, and there is no scientific data. Therefore, this research was conducted to inventory THBO from Tumbang Rungan Village and do a literature study to look for experimental data on both active compounds and pharmacological effects compared to practical ones. The results of the survey obtained eleven THBO from Tumbang Rungan Village which is efficient as traditional medicines. Nine plants including scientific data have been collected regarding active compounds and their pharmacological effects. The results of this study can later become a reference for further research to develop the local potential of Central Kalimantan in traditional medicine.

Abstract

Learning requires harmonious interaction between teachers and students. Communication is a type of action that occurs when two or more objects influence or have an effect on each other. Learning through less dynamic interactions can cause an imbalance in the transfer of learning. Tendencies that arise are students will know a lot about something, but become less have a system of values, attitudes, interests and positive appreciation of what is known. Children will experience intellectual development unbalanced by personality maturity, giving birth to a specialist figure who is less concerned with the surrounding environment and prone to value distortions. Students will practice violations such as happy fighting with friends, lack of respect for others, and lack of courtesy. The academic atmosphere in elementary schools for students to be able to learn effectively is a condition where students can collaborate, cooperate, communicate using any direction there is no fear and feel even protected, and they think treated reasonably regardless of ethnicity, religion, race, class, and gender so as to achieve desired goals both national education goals and primary school goals. Energetic interactions between teachers and students in schools must be based on functional relationships first between the teacher and students, meaning students feel the teacher is a parent and a friend who can be invited to interact without fear but still respect. Fearless but respectful interaction is needed because it fits with one of the 21st-century learning skills, collaboration. Good collaboration causes learning to be fun, so learning becomes effective.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of small and medium micro enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Kalimantan with rattan woven craft industries being used as samples to represent other MSME sectors. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement in the performance and strategy of the MSME group covering various aspects such as job training, capital support, equipment/technology assistance, and access to information and communication. The findings of this study indicate that the development of MSMEs carried out by regional governments in Central Kalimantan has gone in the right direction, with several factors still making improvements possible. Support in the form of training should be conducted regularly and scheduled with the topic of continuous training and productive participants. Aid in the form of equipment requires periodic evaluations, such as a reward-punishment system for business groups that have received various support to ensure the support provided is on target. Another strategy is to form the centre of the MSME industry in the Capital of the Province, to facilitate the access of tourists who just want to visit looking for typical Central Kalimantan souvenirs. The easiest way to do this now is to implement a movement of love for standard Central Kalimantan handicraft products to be displayed in various offices, offices, and government agencies as well as different infrastructure and public facilities.

Sixteen participants from geographic subject teachers at the State Senior High School (PSHS) in Palangka Raya have responded to the questionnaire and recorded their perceptions of SC, LTU, and LQ. Spearman correlation analysis was used to test their correlation. This study revealed a positive relationship between LTU and LQ. As for the SC did not give influence on the LQ at PSHS in Palangka Raya. So that improving the LQ can be done by enhancing the ability of teachers in LTU and use it in teaching and learning activities in the classroom.

Abstract

The objectives of the study are to determine the effect of both type and dosage of aquatic plants bokashi on the growth and yield of red onion in alluvial soil. The research design used was Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, namely type and the dose of aquatic plants bokashi. The first factor consisted of three types of bokashi, i.e., giant Salvinia (Salvinia molesta), water cabbage (Pistia stratiotes) and water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes), respectively. The second factor were four levels of bokashi dosage which were 0 tons ha-1, 10 tons ha-1 (0.2 kg/polybag), 20 tons ha-1 (0.5 kg/polybag) and 30 tons ha-1 (0.8 kg/polybag). The study was conducted from March to May 2017, located in the greenhouse of the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Palangka Raya. The results showed that there was no interaction between the type and dose of bokashi on all variables observed. The dosage of bokashi affected plant height, leaf number, fresh weight and dry weight of biomass per clump, dry weight of bulbs and tuber diameter, but did not significantly affect the number of bulbs. The bokashi type did not significantly affect all observed variables. However, the water hyacinth bokashi tended to be better than other treatments

Abstract

Bumi Harjo Village, Kumai District is one of the villages that has experienced developments in agriculture. Bumi Harjo Village farmers do hybrid corn farming. The objectives of this study were: to find out the income, and the feasibility of hybrid corn farming in Bumi Harjo Village and to know the prospects for the development of its business. The data analysis method used to determine income and feasibility using the t-test and Pearson correlation formula to determine the level of relationships between variables. The results showed that the average salary received by respondent farmers was 2,089,917/ha, and hybrid maize farming in Bumi Harjo Village was feasible to run with an R/C ratio > 1 which was 7.1. Based on the t-test it was found that the correlation between income and land area obtained t count = 9,346 > t table = 2,052 which means that there is a strong relationship, namely the more significant the land area, the higher the income earned. While the prospect of development is quite good, seen from the increase in the number of livestock populations in 2013 with animal feed needs reaching 2,183 tons per month, thus hybrid corn farming can be a recommendation for sustainable business.
