Abstract

The purpose of this study is how the implementation of the values of local wisdom sumbang dua baleh is realized in forming the personality of prospective teachers who become role models for students and support their professional careers as teachers in the future. This research method uses a qualitative research type with a phenomenological approach. The results of the study show that the values of local wisdom Sumbang duo baleh can be values that we can take as a source of values in building and forming the character and personality competencies of STKIP Yayasan Abdi Pendidikan students as prospective teachers for the better. The conclusion of this study is that by implementing the values of local wisdom Minang Kabau, it is hoped that the personality of teachers will be formed as role models for students and support their professional careers as teachers. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of multicultural education in the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, with a focus on developing students' attitudes of tolerance, empathy, and critical thinking skills. A descriptive qualitative research method was used through case studies at several universities that have implemented the Merdeka Belajar principles. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, and curriculum document analysis. The results of the study indicate that multicultural education has successfully fostered students' awareness of the importance of respecting cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity. Lecturers play an active role in creating creative learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, such as visits to museums, libraries, and local historical sites. These activities not only enrich students' understanding of diversity but also encourage direct interaction with pluralistic social realities. Additionally, collaboration between universities through student exchange programs, seminars, and collaborative projects further expands students' multicultural perspectives. Students are encouraged to analyze, evaluate, and respond to various issues of diversity in a constructive manner. This study concludes that multicultural education in the Merdeka Belajar era not only strengthens students' tolerant and critical character but also prepares them to face global complexities with an attitude of valuing diversity. Abstract

This study aims to examine the process and impact of marginalization on informal activities of Bangkok chicken trading and cockfighting following the revitalization of Kota Lama Semarang. The research employs historical methods, with source verification and analysis utilizing contemporary images as visual sources. Data were collected through articles, books, local government regulations, interviews, and direct observation. The findings reveal that the pattern of Bangkok chicken trading and cockfighting activities in Kota Lama Semarang has been marginalized due to a revitalization process that prioritizes aesthetics and tourism, resulting in physical, representational, and social marginalization of informal actors. The implication is that revitalization projects cannot rely solely on architectural and urban planning approaches but must also consider socio-cultural aspects and the economic sustainability of vulnerable groups. Therefore, it is recommended that the government design more inclusive policies by involving local communities and providing alternative spaces for informal activities to prevent social inequality. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the function and position of the Sundanese opok kijing drum variety, which is claimed as one of the Sundanese drum varieties typical of Karawang Regency. This research method uses the Miles Huberman qualitative method and incorporates the theory of work from Rahayu Supanggah. The results of this study indicate that the opok kijing drum is indeed a Sundanese drum typical of Karawang Regency which is often used in Sundanese wayang golek art, or banjet masks as a complementary spice to the songs presented. The results of the creation of the opok kijing drum by Karawang artist Ki Sarta, are able to provide stimulus for Sundanese artists in West Java in terms of creativity, and can be applied to various types of traditional Sundanese musical accompaniment. The conclusion of the tepak gendang opok kijing/emprak kijing drum can be applied in various forms of contemporary art in today's era, such as Sundanese wayang golek, banjet masks, and Sundanese dangdut pop music that combines the pencug jaipong pattern. This tepak has an important function in the rhythmic structure because it is able to present a distinctive nuance that adds enthusiasm to the nayaga, juru kawih, and the audience. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the types of protection provided by the government to microeconomic actors in Mandailing Natal Regency, namely farmers, fishermen, and street vendors, and the reinsurance they receive. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach, which measures quantitative data and objective statistics through scientific calculations from a sample of survey respondents to determine the frequency and percentage of their responses. The results show that microeconomic actors face significant challenges, such as low incomes (farmers IDR 2.8 million/6 months, fishermen IDR 1.05 million/week, traders IDR 800,000/month) and minimal guidance and protection from the government. The study's conclusions underscore the urgency of more inclusive policies to empower microeconomic actors through guidance, protection, and access to capital, in order to strengthen the national economy. These findings enrich the literature on microeconomics by emphasizing the integration of Islamic and conventional approaches in economic development. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the police in handling domestic violence (DV) in the jurisdiction of the Pekanbaru Police. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the police play a central role in the process of handling DV cases, from receiving reports, protecting victims, conducting investigations, to mediation and law enforcement. This study recommends enhancing the capacity and sensitivity of police officers, fostering inter-sectoral collaboration, and providing legal education to the community to create a more responsive environment and protect DV victims in the city of Pekanbaru. The conclusion of this study indicates that the role of the police is crucial in handling domestic violence in Pekanbaru, both through legal (penal) and non-legal (non-penal) approaches; however, its effectiveness still needs to be improved through personnel training, cross-sectoral collaboration, and continuous community education. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand how the government responded to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases that began in March 2020. The research method used is field research with a historical approach, supported by primary and secondary data. The findings show that several policies were implemented, such as the establishment of the COVID-19 Task Force, enforcement of social distancing, and restrictions on public activities. Community participation was also an essential factor in the effectiveness of these policies. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that sustainable public health education, cooperation among stakeholders, and consistent adherence to health protocols are crucial in overcoming pandemics and preparing for future public health crises. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of horseback riding and archery at Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid, Bandung, during the period 2015–2022. The research employed historical methodology, consisting of four main stages: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings indicate that these sports programs have developed significantly through the provision of facilities, involvement of professional trainers, and integration into the pesantren’s regular activities, such as tournaments and inter-pesantren competitions. This growth has been supported by the commitment of the pesantren leadership, community participation, and student enthusiasm, despite challenges related to budget constraints, facility management, and limited trainers. The study concludes that the program has been successfully implemented despite these obstacles and recommends improving facilities and adopting similar initiatives in other pesantren to preserve Sunnah sports within Islamic education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of age, husband's education, and husband's occupation on children's educational decision-making within the family. This study used a logistic regression model. The results showed that only the husband's education had a significant influence on children's independence in education. Meanwhile, the variables of age and husband's occupation did not show a significant influence. The regression coefficient indicates that the higher the husband's education level, the greater the likelihood of children receiving a better education. However, the regression model used in this study was only able to explain approximately 6.05% of the variation in children's educational independence. This study concluded that the husband's education was the only factor that significantly influenced independence, while the husband's age and type of occupation did not. For a better model, it is necessary to add other variables that may be more relevant. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the History Room application as an interactive learning medium to improve learning outcomes in social studies. The research method used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach model Kemmis and McTaggart, this study involved 25 students and was conducted in two cycles. Data collection was carried out through initial tests (pre-test) and final tests (post-test) to measure improvements in student learning outcomes. The History Room application, which presents historical material through text, images, and videos, was integrated into classroom learning activities. The results showed a significant increase in students' average scores, from 65.08 in the pre-test to 80.04 in the post-test, with a learning mastery level reaching 88%. These findings indicate that the History Room application successfully creates a student-centered learning atmosphere, encourages independent exploration of historical content, and enhances collaboration between students. Overall, this study concludes that the use of interactive digital media such as History Room is effective in making social studies subjects more interesting and accessible, thereby optimally increasing student engagement and understanding.
