Abstract

This research aims to develop volleyball bottom passing exercises. Based on observations made in elementary schools in Jambi, there is still a low ability of basic volleyball passing techniques, so it is necessary to develop the form of exercise. This development uses the R&D model with the Borg and Gall model. While the data analysis technique uses effectiveness tests and gain scores. The results of the development of volleyball bottom passing training equipment meet the criteria that are quite valid for expert experts and are in the Very Meet or Decent category. The conclusion of this study is that the development of a volleyball bottom passing exercise model is very feasible to be used as a training model for basic bottom passing techniques in volleyball games

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low ability of the front kick of UNP martial arts athletes. The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) how much the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the speed of the front kick of pencak silat athletes at Padang State University, 2) how much the contribution of body flexibility to the speed of the front kick of pencak silat athletes at Padang State University, 3) how much the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and body flexibility to the speed of the front kick of pencak silat athletes at Padang State University.  This research is correlational, which is to find out how much the relationship of variables with one another. The population in this study was atlet pencak silat UNP, and untill amounted to 20 people who were carried out at  the Lubuk Buaya PGSD Campus using purposive sampling techniques  , namely sampling based on the researchers' considerations. Based on the calculation of product moment correlation, 1) There is a significant contribution to the explosive power of the leg muscles with the kick speed of UNP pencak silat athletes of 22.66%, 2) There is a significant contribution of body flexibility with the kick speed of UNP pencak silat athletes of 25.7%, 3) There is a contribution which is significant, the explosive power of the leg muscles and flex with the ability of the kick speed of UNP martial arts athletes by 30.25%.  This shows that the improvement   to the speed of the front kick of UNP Padang pencak silat athletes can be done by making improvements to thelegs and flexibility of the athlete's body.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that the level of passing skills for volleyball is not known in the North Indralaya sub-district. This study aims to determine the Level of Service Skills for Volleyball at the Athlete Club of North Indralaya District. The variable in this study is a single variable, namely service skills on volleyball. The population in this study were soccer athletes, totaling 20 athletes, while the sample was taken using a total sampling technique so that all populations were sampled in this study. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative with a survey approach. Data collection techniques using the above service test instrument. Data analysis using the Percentage Formula. The results showed that the level of top service skills at the volleyball club in North Indralaya District showed that the athletes who had good categories were 13 athletes (65%) of which 7 athletes from the Cambodian volleyball club and 6 athletes from the Mawar volleyball club, which had sufficient 4 athletes (20%) where 2 athletes from the Cambodia volleyball club and 2 athletes from the Mawar volleyball club, who have a less category 2 athletes (10%) where 1 athlete from the Cambodia volleyball club and 1 athlete from the Mawar volleyball club, and who has a bad category of 1 athlete (5%) from the Mawar volleyball club. It was found that the athlete's score showed an average of top service skills at the volleyball club in North Indralaya District of 38.01. The average value of the second club shows that the service skills on the ball are in the sufficient category.

Abstract

This research is based on the field reality, particularly in Elementary School 04 Kajai, Pariaman City, where the level of student's physical fitness is still low. There are many factors that contribute to this, and one of the suspected factors is the student's nutritional status. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between student's nutritional status and physical fitness, specifically in Elementary School 04 Kajai, Pariaman City. The research design used in this study is correlational. The population of this research consists of 72 students from Elementary School 04 Kajai, Pariaman City. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, resulting in a sample size of 39 students, consisting of 24 male students and 15 female students. This study utilizes primary data obtained from measurements of nutritional status and physical fitness tests, as well as secondary data from school archives. The data collection instruments include measurements of nutritional status based on Body Mass Index (BMI) and physical fitness tests such as a 40-meter run, bent-arm hang, sit and reach, standing long jump, and a 600-meter run. The data was analyzed using correlational statistics through SPSS version 10.0. The research findings indicate that (1) the correlation between nutritional status and physical fitness of male students is (rxy) 0.219 < rtab (0.404), (2) the correlation between nutritional status and physical fitness of female students is (rxy) 0.220 < rtab(0.514). Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between nutritional status and physical fitness level among both male and female students at Elementary School 04 Kajai, Pariaman City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of training methods and achievement motivation on the results of karateka karate speed at PGRI Palembang University. The method used in this study is quasi-experiment. The subjects in the study were 37 karateka of PGRI Palembang University. The instrument used in data collection for this variable is the Likert scale model questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this study was with two-track Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) and continued with the Tukey Test. From the results of data analysis shows that there is a difference in the influence of training methods between groups with circuit training methods and interval training is accepted, because the calculation results show Fcalculate = 6.99 > Ftable = 4.05 and there is an interaction between the training method and Achievement Motivation with Speed accepted, because the calculation results show that Fcalculate = 41.77 > Ftable = 4.05.

Abstract

The Indonesian government is currently trying to improve the image of Indonesian tourism by developing community-based tourism. One form of community-based tourism development is sport tourism. As the name implies, sport tourism is tourism combined with sports. This can support the growth of the tourism sector because it is supported by sports activities that attract visitors. South Sumatra has a lot of tourism potential, especially in water sports, seen in the condition of the area which is the water area that is the icon of the city of Palembang, namely the Musi River, besides that there are also many tributaries scattered in various areas which are the flow of the Musi River, in addition to the river The lakes that have an attraction one of them is Lake OPI (Ogan Permata Indah) located in the Jakabaring area. The development of various tourism sectors in various countries that are stretched coupled with the source of foreign exchange obtained by the region from the tourism sector is certainly an opportunity and also a challenge for Indonesia, especially the city of Palembang in developing the sports tourism sector. The development of sports tourism requires the active role of various parties. The central government to local governments at the lowest level have a role in the authority to regulate, foster and develop. In addition, the role of related agencies, business actors and the general public is also needed.

Abstract

Sports in Indonesia continue to experience rapid development over time the development of the sport, marked by the number of Indonesian citizens who carry out sports activities in everyday life. Indonesians who carry out these sports activities have different goals. As for their purpose in doing sports activities to improve physical freshness, equal health, and to achieve achievements in certain sports fields, therefore by doing sports activities, the Indonesian people have begun to know and begin to feel the benefits of the sport.

Abstract

Android provides an open platform for developers to create their own applications that can be used to help perform daily activities. Media can used to support online learning or training has an impact on learning the skill. This study aims to look into to develop android application based on biomechanical analysis of pencak silat. The video with biomechanical analysis of pencak silat in android application was created with the Kinovea application and RAD Studio 10.3 software developer. Kinovea is used to analyze biomechanics (angle of motion) and make slow-motion videos. The content developed is the basic techniques and single artistic jurus, the name of this android application is “Analisis Biomekanika Jurus Tunggal Pencak Silat (Tutorial)”. It has been found that 114 undergraduate students in physical education department who learn pencak silat material easily adapt to mobile learning. The application has not only been designed and tested, but it has also been in use for four months. This study's conclusions are based on practical rather than theoretical considerations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effect of stretch-shortening cycle training on developing speed and agility in young males. The method used in this research was pre-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design for one group. Twelve young males aged 20-22 years were recruited as study participants and provided intervention stretch-shortening cycle training at an intensity of 80-90% HRmax, three times per week for six weeks (18 meetings). The Illinois Agility Test (IAT) was used to assess agility, while the 30 Meter Sprint Test was used to assess speed. Speed and agility were measured twice, once before and once after training. A paired-sample t-test was employed for data analysis, with a confidence level of 5%. The findings revealed a considerable improvement in average agility and speed between pre-and post-training (p ≤ 0.01). It was concluded that stretch-shortening cycle training for six weeks proved effective in increasing speed and agility in young males. The results of this study can be used as a basis for recommendations for improving and maintaining physical fitness and the performance of futsal players to achieve optimal performance.

Abstract

The social skills of today's youth are a problem that requires attention, as mobile phones and smartphones are now among the media on which kids spend their free time. The impacts of youngsters playing modern games frequently on handheld devices or other technology lead a child's social level to decline, therefore witnessing this phenomena worries us. The findings of the observations done at SD Negeri 3 Meganti show that children prefer independent activities, that they are challenging to control, that they like to quarrel, and other things. This study aims to determine whether modified versions of conventional hopscotch games might help kids develop their social skills. 20 students from class II of SD Negeri 3 Menganti participated in this study, which used the classroom action research method and the Kemmis &; Taggart model. Four stages of research were carried out, including planning, activity, observation, and reflection. The outcomes demonstrated an improvement in the social skills of class II students at SD Negeri 3 Menganti. Average student learning results from Cycle I were just 15.5%, but after being exposed to the action of a modified classic crankshaft game in Cycle II, there was a notable improvement to average student learning outcomes of 25.5%.
