Abstract

Objective. The aim of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of climbing athletes regarding injury awareness, prevention and first aid specifically in climbing. In the process of exploration, the level of knowledge includes various methods and concepts, such as how well does the athlete know about injuries, types of injuries, and assistance when and what treatment should be given. Method. This type of research is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive design. The population taken was students of rock-climbing athletes who love nature and the environment, Padang State University (MPALH UNP). Non-random sampling was done to obtain n=20 participants, consisting of 65% (male) and 35% (female) which included three climbing category numbers, namely lead climbing (LC), speed climbing (SC) and bouldering climbing. (BC). Results. Knowledge of injuries, prevention and assistance in the sport of climbing by MPALH UNP with a score of 48.45 ± 8.4 was found to be in the fairly good category. “Good” score value category n = 1 (5%). “fairly good” category n=15 (75%). Then the score for the "Not good" category n = 4 (20%). Conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the level of knowledge of MPALH UNP climbing athletes on knowledge, prevention and first aid is still in the goodn enough category, although some athletes score in the poor category. Thus, specific training must be provided by the management and the climbing division of the UNP MPALH so that they can improve their capacities in terms of injuries, prevention and first aid to perform.

Abstract

Theoretical understanding and practice in swimming learning still cannot be integrated scientifically in student learning. So it is necessary to have a theoretical and training model to improve swimming ability. The aim is to find out how effective the theoretical and exercise models are designed for experiments on 75 students. The experimental method used the control group and the experimental group. Theory and practice used online and face-to-face learning with an analysis of the results of the t-test starting with the pre-test and ending with the post-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group with scorest-test for Equality of Means. From this column, the value of t count = 3.638, df = 58, so the table = 2.002 is obtained. When compared, the value of t count > t table and sig (2 tailed) or p-value = 0.001 <0.05 or H0 is rejected. Even with sometimes limitations to the use of technology such as the need for maintenance and loss of connectivity, teaching online (web-based) nevertheless empowers students and maximizes their learning. Students in the study reported their liking for being able to proceed at their own pace

Abstract

The biomotor skills held by junior tennis players in Jambi City were unknown at the time this research was done. Based on specific factors, this sort of research compares (compares) the results of 48 participants in a total sample. The anthropometry (height and weight), motion coordination (balance beam, jumping sideways, moving sideways, endurance shuttle run, and eye-hand coordination) and physical talents of junior tennis players were measured in order to determine their biomotor skills (shoulder rotation, sit and reach, standing broad jump, curl-ups, knee push-ups, 10x5m shuttle run and endurance shuttle run). Two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to assess the data with a 2x2 factorial design. The study that was carried out by the researchers produced the following findings: (1) In Jambi City, there were variations in the biomotor skills of elite and non-elite junior tennis players with a Sig value of 0.044 0.05. (2) There were biomotor differences between junior tennis players that were male and female with values Sig 0.000 0.05. (3) The athlete group and gender have an interaction on biomotor skills with a Sig value of 0.020 0.05.

Abstract

Student motivation in learning basketball can affect their academic achievement and sports performance. Coaches have an important role in increasing student motivation in school through basketball learning. However, there have not been many studies that examine the role of coaches in increasing student motivation through basketball games at school. The purpose of this study is to explain the role of coaches in increasing student motivation through basketball games at school, as well as to find out what methods and strategies can be used by coaches in increasing student motivation. This research uses a literature study approach by searching various databases and information sources, such as scientific journals, books, and online articles. The data obtained is then analyzed and compiled into a synthesis. The results of this study show that the role of coaches in increasing student motivation through basketball games in schools is very important. Coaches must be able to build good relationships with students, provide positive feedback, and provide challenges that match students' ability to increase their confidence and motivation. Based on the results and discussion of this study, it is suggested that basketball coaches in schools should pay more attention to their role in increasing student motivation. The coach must master various effective methods and strategies to increase student motivation in learning and playing basketball. Trainers should also pay attention to the balance between theory and practice, as well as adopt the latest technologies and innovations to increase student learning and motivation.

This study was conducted using quantitative descriptive methods using closed questionnaire techniques. The population in this study is PP INKAI Prestasi athletes in Jakarta totaling 30 people. Determination of samples in this study through non-probability sampling techniques (purposive sampling) so that it became 15 people in accordance with the criteria desired by the researcher. The results of this study show that the level of aggressiveness of karate athletes in word numbers is included in the medium category because word numbers are numbers that compete for compactness, regularity of motion and discipline of movement. However, this can be a further input to further increase the aggressiveness of word number karate.

So that aggressiveness in karate sports, especially in kumite numbers, is indeed an inherent characteristic because the matches carried out use physical contact as a whole. This study aims to determine how much the level of aggressiveness of junior karate athletes, especially in kumite numbers. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research using a questionnaire given to a sample of (N = 15) athletes. In this study, the results obtained a very high level of aggressiveness as much as 1 (7%), a high level of aggressiveness as much as 2 (13%), a moderate level of aggressiveness as much as 11 (73%), and a low level of aggressiveness as much as 1 (7%). This can be interpreted that the level of aggressiveness of junior karate athletes in kumite numbers uses aspects of aggressiveness as a way to win matches.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work up and down the bench at night. Subjects in this study are students of SMAN 12 Tangerang totaling 25 people, clinical trial research with research design “One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design”. The measured Parameter is the blood glucose level. The results obtained pre-test and post-test glucose levels after doing activities up and down the bench. The data analysis technique used is the T-test technique (t-test) by calculating the value of t-count compared to the T-table at degrees of freedom n-1 and at the level of significance (p<0.05). From the results of research on the activity of the effects of work up and down the bench at night for 20 minutes, obtained the average value of pre-test blood sugar levels is 114.8 and the average post-test is 97.6 the value of the difference between pre-test and post-test is 17.2. Conclusion activity up and down the bench at night for 20 minutes affects a significant decrease in blood sugar levels and is easy to do.

Abstract

Frozen shoulder is an idiopathic condition of the shoulder characterized by the onset of pain and limitation in the shoulder joint. Frozen shoullder is more common in women than men and occurs in the age range of 40 to 65 years. Problems that arise due to frozen shoulder can be given intervention or Codman Pendular exercise and scapular mobilization techniques. The purpose of this study is aimed at frozen shoulder sufferers to reduce pain. The exercises given in this frozen shoulder condition are Codman Pendular exercise and Scapular Mobilization. This research method is a mental experimental study with pre and post test group design by comparing the level of previous and subsequent pain measured with visual measuring instruments analoge scala (VAS), against the provision of codman pendular exercise and scapular mobilization in frozen shoulder conditions for 4 weeks. Results: Analysis of pain loss difference test with visual analoge scale (vas) in the sample group with a significant value of p = 0.0001 which shows a < of 0.05 which means there is an effect on the effectiveness of exercise administration Codman Pendular Exercise and Scapular Mobilization in reducing frozen shoulder pain.
