The Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI) is a short 20-item self-report questionnaire that can be used to measure individual cognitive flexibility in thinking adaptively to an ever-changing environment. This study aims to develop a cognitive flexibility inventory instrument in the Indonesian context and test the instrument using Rasch modeling analysis. The research method used was a survey with a cross-sectional survey design. The research sample was 170 students of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The research instrument used is the Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI) adapted from Dennis & Vander Wal (2010) and has been translated from English to Indonesian. The results showed that the development of the Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI) instrument based on Rasch modeling analysis has excellent instrument reliability with a Cronbach alpha value of 0.87 logits, and CFI can measure what should be measured in this study, namely cognitive flexibility in students. For this reason, the development of the CFI instrument in Indonesian produced good results and has the potential to be widely implemented in the university environment.

The phenomenon of intergenerational co-residence, particularly between older adults and their adult children, is increasingly common in Indonesia. However, not all older adults living with their children report high levels of life satisfaction. One factor that may influence life satisfaction among older adults is engagement in productive activities that provide a sense of meaning. This study aims to analyze the role of productive engagement in predicting life satisfaction among older adults living with their children. The study involved 239 older adults aged 60 and above who reside with their adult children. Life satisfaction was measured using the Satisfaction with Life Scale, and productive engagement was assessed through participation in three types of productive activities: paid work, volunteering, and caregiving for grandchildren. The results showed that, after controlling sociodemographic characteristics, productive engagement positively predicted life satisfaction among older adults living with their children. Engagement in productive activities can enhance the life satisfaction of older adults. These findings highlight the importance of supporting older adults’ participation in meaningful activities that align with their capacities, particularly within the context of intergenerational households.

This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that determine students' interest in choosing the Information Technology Education Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi. The research method used is quantitative research with the type of field research. The sample in this study amounted to 52 respondents. The data collection technique was carried out through a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the factor that determines students' interest in choosing the Information Technology Education Study Program is the self-motivation factor (X2) with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). This means that Ha is accepted and H₀ is rejected, so it can be concluded that self-motivation has a significant influence on students' interest in choosing the Information Technology Education Study Program. Meanwhile, the other five variables do not show a statistically significant influence because they have a significance value greater than 0.05. In detail, the Student Ability variable (X1) has a significance value of 0.790, Study Program Excellence (X3) of 0.251, Parental Influence (X4) of 0.304, Peers (X5) of 0.460, and Social Media (X6) of 0.912. Thus, it can be concluded that internal factors in the form of self-motivation are the dominant factors that influence student interest in choosing the Information Technology Education Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi. It is recommended that the Information Technology Education Study Program continue to improve the quality, student confidence, and the attractiveness of the study program to maintain and increase the interest of prospective students in the future.

This study aims to explore religious coping strategies among physically disabled students. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach was employed to gain a deep understanding of the participants’ lived experiences. The subject of the study was a physically disabled adolescent residing in an Islamic boarding school. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations, and the validity of the findings was ensured using triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the subject was able to acknowledge and accept their physical condition. The religious coping strategies identified include the deferring approach, characterized by surrender and trust in divine assistance, and the collaborative approach, in which the subject sought meaning from adversity and actively attempted to resolve problems with reliance on God’s help. Additionally, the subject demonstrated positive religious coping, reflected in attitudes of patience, gratitude, and sincerity. The findings also highlight the importance of social support, with the strongest support coming from parents, followed by peers and the surrounding environment

Strength-based parenting is a parenting style where parents focus on children's strengths and positive qualities. This approach is generally linked to better well-being and psychological states in adolescents. However, the impact of this parenting style on how families communicate about sex remains unclear. This is a crucial issue, considering that adolescents need sex education, and parents should play a key role in providing it. This study aimed to investigate the role of strength-based parenting dimensions (strength knowledge and strength use) on family sex communication. Participants were 253 senior high school students in Surabaya who completed the Strength-Based Parenting Scale and the Family Sex Communication Quotient questionnaires. Using multiple regression analysis, the result showed that strength-based parenting influenced family sex communication. Parental encouragement for adolescents to utilize their strengths (strength use) was a significant predictor of family sex communication. This indicates that parents’ positive encouragement motivates both children and parents to engage in discussions concerning sensitive topics such as sex. Future studies should consider the social and cultural values held by the family, parental understanding of sexual issues, and adolecents’ gender.

The risk of eating disorders is a growing mental health concern among adolescents and young adults. One factor believed to influence this risk is external eating, which refers to the tendency to eat in response to environmental cues such as the appearance or aroma of food. However, empirical findings have shown that the relationship between external eating and the risk of eating disorders is not always consistent and may be moderated by specific contextual variables, such as educational status. This study aimed to examine the influence of external eating and educational status, as well as their interaction, on the risk of eating disorders. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed using General Linear Model (GLM) analysis on 190 participants (94 university students and 96 high school students). The instruments used were the Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ) and the Eating Attitudes Test-26 (EAT-26). The results showed that educational status had a significant effect on eating disorder risk (p = 0.043), as did the interaction between external eating and educational status (p = 0.037). However, external eating alone was not a significant predictor (p = 0.717). These findings indicate that the impact of external eating on eating disorder risk is contextual and influenced by educational factors. Therefore, preventive approaches to eating disorders should simultaneously consider both environmental and educational variables.
