Abstract

Learning in Indonesia still emphasizes on the memorization aspect, which makes the high-level thinking skills of students still low. Whereas literacy and numeracy competence emphasizes high-level understanding, and does not only rely on rote literacy. Therefore, the evaluation instrument formulated based on the HOTS approach can train students' problem-solving abilities. This study is intended to describe the literacy and numeracy competencies of fourth grade students in energy sources. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with the research subjects were students and teachers of class IV SD N 2 Tuguraja. This data collection uses interview techniques, documentation studies, and tests. This study shows that students are not used to using HOTS-oriented questions because the questions made by the teacher do not contain HOTS. In the test conducted using literacy and numeracy-oriented questions which of course require students to think at a high level, based on the analysis of test results using Rasch modeling seen from the comparison of the standard deviation value with the logit value of each student, it can be seen that the ability of students in competence literacy and numeracy is still low. Ability of students in competence literacy and numeracy is still low.

Abstract

Online learning is learning that uses technology such as electronic devices. In this case, a teacher must have other alternative ways to deliver learning materials in order to arouse students' enthusiasm for learning. The information search method is one of the learning methods that can be used by a teacher in teaching during online learning, namely by giving students the freedom to seek answers or information from any source in accordance with the related material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online learning using the information search method on the learning outcomes of fifth grade science subjects at Kemala Bhayangkari Elementary School. The research subject is the fifth grade of SD Kemala Bhayangkari. This type of research is True Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results showed that after the pretest, treatment, and posttest were carried out in the experimental class, the average value of the pretest on science learning outcomes was 67.29 while the posttest average value of science learning outcomes was 86.66 and the results of the t-test calculation showed that > ( 4,967 > 2,201). So it can be stated that it is accepted and rejected, so it can be concluded that online learning using the information search method is effective for the fifth grade science subject at SD Kemala Bhayangkari.

Abstract

Problem-solving is a process or individual effort to respond or overcome obstacles or obstacles when an answer or answer method is not yet clear. This means that problem solving can make students create new ideas or techniques in a problem. Based on this, the problem in this study is how the mathematical problem-solving ability of students in the volume of space in the fifth-grade students of SDN 176 Palembang is solved. The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the mathematical problem-solving abilities of fifth-grade students in the volume of building materials. The results showed that the mathematical problem-solving ability (1) students were in high category, students were able to understand the problem correctly, were able to make a were able to carry out the appropriate stages of the problem-solving ability indicator correctly, able to make conclusions answers obtained. (2) moderate category students, students can carry out problem-solving steps such as planning to solving problems. (3) low category students, students cannot find out the problem and carry out problem-solving steps according to indicators such as planning, solving problems and making conclusions from the answers.

Abstract

Until now the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic has not completely disappeared from the territory of Indonesia. Its existence has had an impact on social and economic life in the community. The world of education (schools) is one that has been affected and felt by parents and students of the Remo State Elementary School (SDN), Paramasan District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The resulting impact drags the involvement of parents in the child's learning process. Parental involvement occupies an important position when children study at home. Learning at the elementary level formal education (SDN Remo) is carried out offline. Internet network barriers make students at the school follow an offline system or learning that requires face-to-face. Currently, students (students) at SDN Remo study offline. In this learning model, parental involvement occupies an important position. The case study (research) at SDN Remo shows the importance of parental involvement in the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. Not only is it important, it also has a big impact when children (students) learn to do the tasks of teachers (educators) at school. The conclusion was drawn from a case study using a descriptive qualitative approach through the instruments of observation, interviews, and documentation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the level and opinion regarding the multiplemultiple integral e-module material that is planned to be developed. This type of research is a mixed method with the sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample used is an active student of regular class B 2019 who has contracted a physics mathematics course I. The instruments used are in the form of questionnaires and interview sheets which are analyzed using descriptive statistics for questionnaires and interviews are analyzed using miles and huberman. The results obtained indicate that most of the samples think that the e-module is a very good idea, this can be seen from the results of descriptive statistics, the average value is 22.4 which is in the required category, the results of this quantitative data are strengthened by the results of interviews that mostly support the creation of this e-module.

Abstract

The learning method is one of the ways used by a teacher or educator to improve learning outcomes for students. Learning methods are in the form of discussions, field trips, and lectures. In general, what is often used by teachers is the lecture method. This method is certainly very boring for students, especially in MI/SD with low grades (1,2, and 3). For this reason, determining learning outcomes can be seen to what extent the teacher is able to manage the class during learning and get maximum results. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The method used by the researcher is interview, observation and documentation. The results of the interviews are processed into a narrative that can be understood by all readers. The result is that some teachers do not use learning methods optimally. So that learning outcomes are also not expected to be optimal. For this reason, it is up to the school to be able to improve the competence of the educators or teachers in the school.

Abstract

Research with invalid and unreliable instruments will greatly affect the results of the study. The lack of complete exposure of the results of data analysis and the validity and reliability analysis of the daily tests have not been found, the researchers conducted a study that aims to describe the results of the validity and reliability of colloidal material daily test items in supporting the completeness of learning the STEM model. This type of quantitative descriptive research. The researcher wants to describe the validity of the chemistry questions on the colloidal material daily test instrument in terms of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discriminating power. The content validity test results were obtained that the instrument was valid. The instrument questions were 18 multiple-choice items and 6 description items, all valid and reliable results were obtained. Multiple-choice questions only have questions 6 and 14 which have good distinguishing power, while questions 1, 2, 3, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, and 18 have good distinguishing power. Explanation questions from numbers 1 to 6 have good discriminating power. Based on the criteria for the level of difficulty, the results of multiple-choice questions 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, and 17 were questions with a moderate level of difficulty, while questions numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 18. Instruments that can be used at least have valid and reliable criteria.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to realized an application of PBL with ESD context in improving learning outcomes and sustainability awareness of class X learners at Labschool Unesa 1 Secondary School. The design of the study is to use quasi-experiments with pre-post test types of research. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the learning outcomes of learners after the application of the model. Based on the results of the t test statistics, the value F calculates 1.492 with a value of p 0.000 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected or hypothesis zero is rejected while the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Then there are differences in the learning outcomes of conventional model groups with ESD context PBL groups. This difference is reinforced by the data on the acquisition of the mean of each group, where for the experimental group (ESD context PBL model) obtained a mean result of 89.60. While the control group (conventional model) obtained a mean result of 78.00. Formed on the aftereffect of the examination that the experimental group (ESD context PBL model) obtained higher results than the control group (conventional model) with a significant difference of 11.6. Then for the sustainability awareness profile of learners are in the high category with a mean of 71% and the highest mean value lies in the category of emotional awareness of 98%.
