Abstract

Various statements about Covid-19 vaccines from the government became a lot of discussion, including among teachers. Government public communication should be carried out to manage diverse polemics and public opinion. Discussions about the planning and process of vaccine administration come with different approaches, thinking skills and knowledge, especially with the increasing use of communication technology such as internet and social media. This difference in knowledge and perception can be bridged if there are parties who help socialize the benefits and importance of the COVID-19 vaccine, such as teacher, one of the gate keepers in selecting information and public dissemination. The specific purpose of this research is to get a complete picture of how digital literacy skills and teachers' perceptions of information regarding the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine. Method used are by distributing online questionnaires to high school teachers in Indonesia (DKI Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bali, South Kalimantan and South Sulawesi) with approximately 493 samples. From the discussion, SMA/SMK teachers in Indonesia have excellent digital literacy skills related to COVID-19 Vaccine information in online media. Abstract

This research uses Roland Barthes's theoretical framework to investigate the cultural importance of the traditional Indonesian dish, Tumpeng. In order to better comprehend this cultural artifact, this study seeks to unravel the underlying symbolic meanings and dimensions that are constructed throughout the Tumpeng tradition. It also shows how Barthes's concepts of objects, interpretations, and myths might be useful in this endeavor. It draws attention to the connections among cuisine, culture, and semiotics and emphasizes the relevance of Tumpeng as a unique expression of Indonesian cuisine. This study shows that Tumpeng functions as a potent cultural signifier within Indonesian society, representing communal identity, social hierarchy, and spirituality through an investigation of its visual and philosophical aspects. Tumpeng's aesthetic style, color scheme, and physical arrangement all convey ideas about societal norms and beliefs. Practices of Tumpeng consumption also entail several layers of interpretation, whereby personal and collective meanings are created and communicated. Further, by decoding the meaning of Tumpeng, it is hoped to comprehend the interactions between cultural artifacts, interpretation, and myth-making techniques.

Abstract

This research on the work of the ANTARA News Agency uses a qualitative research approach. The phenomenological method and using critical discourse analysis on news text framing, the study focused on how ANTARA framed its news in the Reformation era and media convergence (from 1998 to the present) by paying attention to news framing in the previous era (Old Order and New Order eras). to sharpen research. This study seeks to explore comprehensive information about how ANTARA's news framing was during the reform era and the era of media convergence, by paying attention to how the same policies in the previous government (the New Order era) sharpened the focus of the research. The results of the study indicate that press coverage, including ANTARA during the New Order era, followed the policies of the authorities, but also contributed to the creation of national stability and the establishment of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) because it did not broadcast news on SARA issues. Meanwhile, during the reformation period, the nuances of the “national vision” or ideology of the mass media, including ANTARA, tended to diminish. In accordance with its historical role for the state, ANTARA in the future can and needs to carry out the function of press diplomacy in an effort to improve Indonesia's image in the international world. Meanwhile, ANTARA's true dedication and loyalty is not to the government (the rulers), but to the state, in this case the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
