Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media video animasi untuk mata pelajaran IPAS guna meningkatkan hasil belajar serta mengevaluasi kelayakannya melalui validasi oleh ahli, guru, dan siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelas IV MI Al-Falah Andamui dengan melibatkan 27 siswa dan satu pendidik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang terdiri atas lima tahap: Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Pada tahap Analisis, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Tahap Desain menghasilkan rancangan video animasi yang divalidasi oleh tiga ahli. Pada tahap Pengembangan, media divalidasi dan disempurnakan. Tahap Implementasi dilakukan dengan menguji media pada pendidik dan siswa, sedangkan tahap Evaluasi mencakup perencanaan perbaikan berdasarkan hasil uji coba. Hasil validasi menunjukkan skor rata-rata sebesar 82%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Selain itu, uji efektivitas dengan siswa menghasilkan skor N-gain sebesar 88,20%, yang tergolong sangat efektif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media video animasi yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPAS

Abstract

This study aimed to test the effectiveness of Bruner’s theory-guided discovery learning in enhancing the mathematical reasoning ability of elementary school students. The study was done with a quasi-experimental design and an experimental group instructed with discovery learning based on Bruner’s theory was compared with a control group instructed expositively. he population of this study consisted of elementary schools (SD/MI) in Banyumas Regency with accreditation levels A and B, totaling 38 schools. Using a stratified random sampling technique, four schools were selected—each representing schools with accreditation A and B—and were assigned as the experimental and control groups. The findings indicate that the experimental group significantly enhanced the ability to identify patterns, generalize, and construct and test mathematical arguments compared to the control group. However, the post-test scores suggest that students’ reasoning abilities in the experimental group have not reached a maximum point, possibly because they had not been exposed to enough experience in exploratory learning. The ANOVA test also failed to reveal any significant interaction between school accreditation category and instruction type on the student’s mathematical reasoning ability. With well-planned deployment and even more tailored to students’ characteristics, Bruner’s theory-guided discovery learning has immense potential to improve the quality of mathematics education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Bullying remains a serious issue in elementary schools and has negative impacts on children's psychological and social development. To address this problem, the Child-Friendly School (SRA) Program is implemented to create a safe, comfortable, inclusive, and violence-free learning environment, while also ensuring the protection of children's rights. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the SRA program in preventing bullying behavior at Labschool Elementary School UPI Cibiru. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The research informants consist of the principal, teachers, students, and parents. The analysis focuses on three main aspects: (1) anti-bullying policy planning, (2) implementation of the SRA program, and (3) evaluation of the program’s impact on the school environment. The findings indicate that although cases of bullying still occur, the school has systematically implemented anti-bullying policies, provided teacher training, and actively involved parents and students. An empathetic approach grounded in Islamic values also supports the creation of a friendlier and safer school environment. Furthermore, the SRA program has proven effective in increasing awareness among all school members about the importance of bullying prevention. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Child-Friendly School program significantly contributes to bullying prevention efforts in elementary schools and promotes the creation of an inclusive learning environment centered on children's well-being

Abstract

The decision-making process in choosing a study program is a crucial stage that is influenced by various factors, especially social support from parents. This study examines the influence of parental social support on the decision-making of first-year students in choosing the Elementary Madrasah Teacher Education Study Program at Islamic higher education institution in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, data were collected through a structured questionnaire. The research sample consisted of 60 first-year students from two Islamic religious colleges. Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression and showed a significant influence of parental social support on student decision-making, as indicated by the R-squared value of 0.494. These results indicate that 49.4% of the variability in the decision-making process can be explained by parental social support. This finding confirms the importance of the role of parental social support in helping students make the right and responsible educational choices.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media called Vennify for teaching Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM), as well as to assess its feasibility and effectiveness in enhancing the conceptual understanding of mathematics among fifth-grade students at SDN Jurang Mangu Timur 02. The research employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection instruments included validation questionnaires from media experts, subject matter experts, field practitioners, and conceptual understanding tests administered to students. The research findings indicate that the Vennify media received a feasibility score of 100% from the media expert (categorized as “Highly Feasible”), 78% from the subject matter expert (“Feasible”), and 100% from the field practitioner (“Highly Feasible”). A field trial was conducted involving 26 fifth-grade students, which revealed a significant improvement in their conceptual understanding of mathematics. This was evidenced by an increase in the average pre-test score of 59.49% to a post-test average of 82%. Based on these results, Vennify is deemed feasible and effective to be used as an alternative learning media to support the improvement of elementary students’ mathematical concept comprehension.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of mixed arithmetic operation material in madrasah ibtidaiyah due to monotonous conventional methods. The research aims to test the effectiveness of the Game Based Learning (GBL) model assisted by Wordwall media on improving learning outcomes of third grade students at MIS Perwanida Salatiga. The method used was a quasi-experiment (Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design) with a sample of 31 students (16 experimental group, 15 control group). The research instrument consists of questions that have been pilot-tested and declared valid and reliable. The test results were analyzed using the N-Gain test and independent samples t-test through IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results showed: (1) The improvement in learning outcomes of the experimental group was significant (N-Gain 0.8545 / high category), far exceeding the control group (N-Gain 0.5735 / medium category); (2) The average posttest of the experimental group (91.25) was statistically superior to the control group (72.67) with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). The conclusion of the study proves that the GBL model assisted by Wordwall is effective in significantly improving student learning outcomes. The findings recommend the integration of game-based technology in basic math learning to create interactive and meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of using the Educaplay educational platform on elementary school students’ learning interest. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods and a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 22 students. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that the use of Educaplay had a positive effect on students' interest in learning. The average pretest score of 61.18 became 73.86 in the posttest, with a difference of 12.68 points. The paired sample t-test shows a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05, so h0 is rejected and ha is accepted. That is, there is a significant influence between the use of Educaplay and the increase in learning interest. The average N-Gain value of 58.21 is classified in the "Moderate" improvement category, with 64% of students in that category. This shows that Educaplay is effective in increasing students' overall interest in learning. Thus, the use of Educaplay was shown to have a significant impact on increasing elementary school students' interest in learning.

Abstract

At the elementary school level, especially in early grades, practicing simple writing can serve as a strong foundation for students' literacy development. To ensure that the writing learning process is effective and enjoyable, appropriate instructional strategies that match the developmental characteristics of children are required. One such strategy is the use of engaging and contextual learning media, such as digital image-based media. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the influence   of using digital image-based media on the writing ability of third-grade elementary school students. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method, with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consists of all third-grade students at SDN 90 Palembang, with a sample of 25 students from class III A. Data were collected using a writing skills assessment rubric. The data analysis technique used was the Mann-Whitney U test. Based on data analysis using SPSS 26, the results of the Mann-Whitney U test showed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This means that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted, indicating that there is a significant influence of using digital image-based media on the ability to write simple essays among third-grade students at SDN 90 Palembang.

Abstract

The success of the learning process is influenced by many factors, wich include student activeness. Learning activeness can be enhanced through the use of appropriate instructional models. Course Review Horay (CRH) combined with “Guess the Picture” media is an innovative approach that creates an engaging and interactive learning experience. This study aims to examine the effect of the CRH learning model assisted by “Guess the Picture” media on the learning activeness of fifth-grade elementary school students in the IPAS (Integrated Natural and Social Sciences) subject. This research is a quantitative study using an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students at SDN Eling-Eling. The sampling technique used was a census/total sampling, where all members of the population were used as the sample. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the Paired Sample t-test. The analysis results showed that the average pre-questionnaire score in the experimental class was 18.26, while the average post-questionnaire score was 23.07. The hypothesis test using the Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value of sig (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that the CRH learning model assisted by “Guess the Picture” media has a significant effect on the learning activeness of fifth-grade students in the IPAS subject. Therefore, the CRH learning model with “Guess the Picture” media can be a viable solution to improve student learning activeness, particularly in the IPAS subject.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop digital Big Book-based instructional media specifically designed for Grade II elementary school students, incorporating relevant learning content. The development model employed in this research is the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analyze, involving analysis of the background, concepts, and learning resources; Design, the stage of designing the instructional media product; Development, which includes media development and validation by subject matter experts, language experts, and media experts; Implementation, the stage where the developed media is implemented with students, including the use of questionnaires; and Evaluation. The validation results showed that the product received a 96% score from content experts, 81% from language experts, and 96% from media experts, indicating that the media is feasible and valid for use.  Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the developed media is suitable for use in the learning process of Grade II elementary school students.
