Abstract

Education is one of the important things in a nation to face the times. In an effort to improve the quality of educational resources, one of which is the ongoing learning process. This can be realized because of the existence of teaching staff, where teaching staff is an aspect of human resources that must be developed and fostered periodically. Successful educational institutions cannot be separated from the role of a professional leader who is able to manage the institution. The principal must be able to manage everything in the school starting from planning, implementation, to evaluation. The school principal has an important role in improving the quality of his teaching staff. Various ways to improve quality have been carried out, but there are still failures and have not produced maximum results as expected. This failure occurred due to problems in education management that were not appropriate, lack of guidance on the quality of human resources, and placement of workers who did not match their expertise. This study aims to describe the managerial competence of school principals in improving the quality of teaching staff at SMP Plus Laboratory Indonesia Karawang. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The data sources for this research are the principal and several teaching staff. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used in this study is data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results obtained are 1. The managerial competency of the principal in which there are sub-discussions of planning, implementation and supervision. 2. The quality of the teaching staff.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of writing skills in descriptive texts using picture cards among seventh-grade students at SMPN 27 Medan. This research uses the classroom action research method conducted over 2 cycles. In this research, there are stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used are an activity observation sheet and a writing test for descriptive texts using picture cards as media. The research results show that the use of picture cards is effective in improving the descriptive writing skills of seventh-grade junior high school students. The improvement is evident in various aspects, such as the clarity of descriptions, text structure, vocabulary usage, as well as the cohesion and coherence of the text. Students also become more motivated to write because the learning feels more engaging and interactive.

Abstract

Developing a learning resource book about West Javanese culture is one way to increase students' cultural literacy. Make students get to know the culture of West Java, especially in social studies learning.The purpose of this research is; (1) understand the meaning of cultural literacy; (2) apply the understanding of cultural literacy; (3) describe the effectiveness of the book as a source of learning about the culture of West Java. This research was conducted in May-August 2023 and was conducted in class IV at SDN Sukadami 04 Cikarang with a total of 43 students. The method used in this study is Research and Development (RD) and uses the ADDIE development model with 5 stages.The results showed that the source book for learning about West Javanese culture which had been developed based on media experts got a percentage score of 90% with a very valid category, then validation by material experts got a percentage score of 80% with a valid category, and then by linguists got percentage score of 72% with a valid category. The development test conducted on 43 grade IV students obtained a percentage score of 95% in the very practical category, the test measuring the effectiveness analysis conducted on 43 grade IV students obtained a percentage score of 93% in the very effective category, and then the teacher's assessment obtained a percentage score of 92. 5% in the very practical category. Based on the results of the data acquisition, it shows that the development of learning resource books about West Java culture is to increase students' cultural literacy in social studies subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is prompted by issues surrounding learning difficulties, such as students struggling to comprehend lessons, lagging in completing assignments, achieving below-average academic performance, and exhibiting poor study habits. The objectives of this study are: 1) To outline the learning difficulties experienced by students; 2) To devise a plan for implementing classical counseling services utilizing discussion methods to address these learning difficulties. The research methodology employed is descriptive analysis. The study population consists of 32 students, all of whom were included in the sample using the total sampling technique. Data collection was facilitated through a questionnaire, with percentage classification used for data analysis. The findings indicate that: 1) The depiction of students' learning difficulties falls within a relatively high category; 2) A plan for implementing classical counseling services, focusing on the theme of "overcoming learning difficulties," was devised based on identified problems and insights from learning difficulties theory. As a result of this research, it is recommended that counselors employ discussion techniques with Class XII IPS 3 students at Senior High School 1 Harau to address the learning difficulties identified in this study. Implementation of classical counseling services is advised.

Abstract

Proses pengembangan serta peningkatan pengelolaan pendidikan di Indonesia seyogianya berorientasi terhadap mutu pendidikan. Pola pengembangannyapun harus adaptif sesuai dengan tuntutan zaman (disruption era). Dalam hal ini pemerintah harus senantiasa melakukan transformasi dari pendidikan konvensional menuju pendidikan digital. Penjaminan mutu dapat dilakukan dengan perencanaan program kerja yang baik serta pelaksanaan evaluasi diri satuan pendidikan yang jujur dan objektif. Artinya harus ada sistem yang mampu mengakomodir keduanya dalam rangka memastikan penjaminan mutu internal satuan pendidikan berjalan dengan baik. Kemenag RI hadir dengan meluncurkan platform e-RKAM, tujuannya adalah untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut. Aplikasi e-RKAM ini merupakan terobosan yang menggabungkan menjadi satu kesatuan utuh antara pelaksanaan EDM dan penyusunan Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Madrasah. Oleh karena penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses perencanaan dan pengorganisasian implementasi aplikasi e-RKAM ini serta bagaimana keberhasilan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Maka untuk mengetahui kedua hal ini harus dilakukan penelitian dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan teknis analisis data triangulasi sumber data agar ke objektifitasannya terjamin. Peneliti memilih MA Fathanul Burhan Tempuran dikarenakan merupakan salah satu MA yang masuk ke dalam fase pertama penerapan e-RKAM dilingkungan Kementerian Agama. Setelah dilakukan penelitian dengan metode tersebut didapatkan hasil bahwa proses perencanaan dan pengorganisasian implementasi aplikasi e-RKAM sudah sesuai dengan pedoman penggunaan dan standar operasional prosedur e-RKAM, kemudian keberhasilan dalam rangka peningkatan mutu pendidikanpun masuk ke dalam kategori baik dengan melihat perbandingan data antara Skor Kinerja Pencapaian Mutu tahun 2020 dan tahun 2021.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: 1) ascertain the level of YouTube Kids viewing in the Karawang Barat district; 2) ascertain the evolution of the speech abilities of children aged 5 to 6; and 3) ascertain the impact of YouTube Kids viewing intensity on the speaking abilities of children aged 5 to 6 in the Karawang Barat districts. Ex Post Facto was the qualitative method employed in the study, and 237 respondents were chosen by random sample procedures. We use an online tool to gather data. Analysis of research data: SPSS Version 23.0 for Windows is used in this study to do basic linear regression analysis. Based on the study's findings, it was determined that children in the Karawang Barat district watch YouTube Kids at a medium intensity, scoring a 57% presentation score, and that their speaking abilities develop at a preset rate of 59.9%, which is in line with expectations. A linear regression test yields a significance result (Sig) of 0.0010.05, indicating a significant relationship (R square score of 4.2% ) between the amount of time children aged 5–6 watch YouTube Kids (X) and their capacity to speak.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan instilasi yang berperan dalam menegmbangkan dan menciptakan manusia yang memiliki pengetahuan serta karakter sebagai perubahan dan pembekalan nilai positif pada dirinya agar menjadi lebih baik. Pendidikan sendiri memiliki tujuan yang terdiri dari sistem pendidikan Nasional dalam mengembangkan potensi peserta didik agar menjadi insan yang beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Tuhan yang Maha Esa, sehat, berakhlak mulia, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, mandiri, dan menjadi warga negara yang terintegrasi serta bertanggung jawab . Akan tetapi proses dalam mencapai tujuan yang telah ditentukan pasti memiliki kendala tersendiri yang perlu diatasi agar tidak menghambat tercapainya tujuan yang telah ditentukan.Hal ini ditunjukan dengan kondisi karakter peserta didik yang kurang baik terhadap teman maupun orang sekitar, Sehingga dengan adanya hal ini Kepala Sekolah sebagai tripusat memiliki tanggung jawab dalam meningkatkan dan penguatan terhadap karakter peserta didik. Tujuan Penulis dalam menulis artikel ini ialah untuk dapat mengetahui upaya Kepala sekolah dalam Strategi Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter yang dilakukan di MTs Nihayatul Amal Purwasari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan wawancara, dilanjutkan dengan analisis data.Hasil dari Penelitian ini Strategi Kepala sekolah dalam Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter dapat dilakuan dengan menggunakan Strategi kepemimpinan yang dapat memimpin bawahan seperti guru, dan staf kependidikan lainya, untuk menyelaraskan visi dan misi agar dapat mencapai Tujuan.

Abstract

Learning difficulties are conditions or problems experienced by students, which can reduce academic performance or student learning achievement. This study uses Qualitative Descriptive research conducted at Gemah State Elementary School, Semarang City. The purpose of this study is to describe the factors influencing students' learning difficulties on the grouping of mathematics subject data in grade I of elementary school. The data obtained are in the form of facts in the field. The subjects in this study were class teachers and students in grade 1. This study used written test data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that students who get scores above the KKM are 17 students or 57%, while students who get scores below the KKM are 13 students or 17% of the total number of students. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the influence of learning difficulties in mathematics on the topic of data grouping in grade 1 students of Gemah State Elementary School is influenced by internal factors (motivation, interest, attitude, reading, writing and arithmetic abilities) and external factors (home and school environment).

Abstract

Educational games are the most common type of educational media used to provide knowledge and improve user understanding through distinctive and interesting media. The learning media used is still based on textbooks and teaching materials, making it difficult for students to implement the material in the real world. The use of conventional learning media can reduce the attractiveness of students in paying attention to learning even though the facilities and infrastructure at this school are adequate. Such as the existence of computer labor, laptops, wi-fi networks and others. This type of research uses the RD Research method refers to the research methodology used to produce target products and assess their effectiveness. In this study, the ADDIE (Analysis-Development-Implementation-Evaluate) research model will be used. This research produces educational games for use in the computer science curriculum of class X TJKT at SMK Negeri 1 Sintuk Toboh Gadang. Based on the results of the game validation threshold data analysis, which was approved by the validator with an accuracy rate of 84.29% with the category "Very Valid". Data analysis shows that the percentage of students who get a minimum score of 92.36% with the category "Very Practical" in educational games developed by computer science lecturers. And educational games made by students get a percentage of 88.19% with the category "Very Practical".

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari peningkatan motivasi belajar Intrinsik dan Ekstrinsik siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Problem Based learning. Menurut defenisi Motivasi itu berasal dari kata latin “movere” yang berarti hari untuk mendorong atau memotivasi. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas atau Classroom Action Research (CAR). Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan memperbaiki mutu praktik pembelajaran di kelas yang diampu. Penelitian ini memaparkan terjadinya efek dari perlakuan, dan memaparkan secara global proses yang Diawali dengan pemberian perlakuan hingga dampak dari perlakuan tersebut. Data yang telah diteliti pada siklus I didapatkan hasil yaitu : 2 orang siswa mempunyai motivasi rendah atau 10 %, 10 rang siswa mempunyai motivasi sedang atau 50 % dan siswa yang motivasinya tinggi 8 orang atau 40 %. Adapun hasil pada siklus dua yaitu : motivasi siswa yang rendah 0 atau 0 %, motivasi siswa yang sedang sebanyak 5 orang atau 25 % sedangkan motivasi siswa yang tinggi sebanyak 15 orang dengan persentase 75 %. Dari siklus II ini dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa jika dilihat dari tabel interpretasi motivasi pada siklus II ini dikategorikan motivasi siswa tinggi, adapun peningkatan motivasi tersebut yaitu sebesar 35 %.
