Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principal supervision, principal decision-making, and job satisfaction on teacher performance at junior high schools in Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using path analysis techniques. The sample consisted of 161 junior high school teachers, selected through a total sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires. The results showed that principal supervision had a direct effect on principal decision-making with a t-value of 3.855, significance of 0.000, and beta coefficient of 0.293. It also had a direct effect on job satisfaction with a t-value of 4.107, significance of 0.000, and beta of 0.314. The direct effect of principal supervision on teacher performance was t = 3.199, significance = 0.002, and beta = 0.245. Principal decision-making had a significant effect on teacher performance with a t-value of 3.258, significance of 0.001, and beta = 0.241. Job satisfaction also significantly influenced teacher performance with a t-value of 5.195, significance of 0.000, and beta = 0.366. Indirectly, principal supervision affected teacher performance through decision-making (indirect effect = 0.071) and through job satisfaction (indirect effect = 0.115). Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly influenced teacher performance with an F-value of 62.715 and a significance level of 0.000. These findings indicate that teacher performance improvement is not solely dependent on individual capabilities, but also highly influenced by effective principal supervision, participatory decision-making processes, and a high level of job satisfaction within the school environment

Abstract

This study aims to examine how transforming consciousness through meditation and mindfulness practices can contribute to emotional balance and individual mental health. The background of this research is based on the increasing global psychological problems, such as stress, depression, anxiety, and burnout, which are widely experienced by modern society. Meditation and mindfulness are seen as alternative and complementary methods that can foster self-awareness, reduce emotional reactivity, and build inner balance. The research method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining international scientific articles published in the last ten years. The selection process was carried out through searches in indexed databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar with the keywords "meditation," "mindfulness," "emotional balance," and "mental health." The selected articles were then analyzed thematically to identify patterns, findings, and their relevance to the research topic. The results show that meditation and mindfulness contribute significantly to improving emotional balance, reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety, and strengthening mental health. The findings also confirm that mindfulness practices can be integrated into various fields, such as psychological therapy, education, and stress management in the workplace. The discussion underscores the importance of consistency of practice as well as environmental support in ensuring the effectiveness of this practice. The conclusions of this study confirm that transforming consciousness through meditation and mindfulness not only impacts individual mental health but also strengthens social relationships and improves overall quality of life. The practical implication is that meditation and mindfulness need to be more widely adopted as holistic mental health strategies that are affordable, sustainable, and adaptable to the challenges of modern life..

Abstract

Cases of violence and bullying within educational settings in Indonesia have become a serious issue, with 2,355 recorded violations of child protection in the education sector as of August 2023. Bullying most frequently occurred at the elementary and junior high school levels (25% each), followed by senior high schools and vocational schools (18.75% each), Islamic junior high schools (6.25%), and Islamic boarding schools (6.25%). Specifically, Aceh Province has also reported a significant number of bullying and sexual violence cases, with 575 cases of sexual violence against women and children recorded by June 2023. In response to the widespread prevalence of harassment cases in Indonesia, particularly in Pidie District, the Ministry of Education issued Regulation No. 46 of 2023 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Educational Settings. This regulation aims to create a safe and effective learning environment, one of its key measures being the establishment of a Team for the Prevention and Handling of Violence (TPPK) in every educational institution. However, the implementation of this regulation still faces challenges, especially in Pidie District. Observations indicate that the formation of TPPK has not been optimal, particularly at the kindergarten to junior high school levels, whereas senior and vocational high schools—under provincial government authority—have demonstrated more efficient implementation. Although there have been previous studies discussing the prevention and handling of violence in educational environments—whether related to Regulation No. 46 of 2023 or efforts to prevent bullying through character education—these studies tend to focus on narrow scopes. Therefore, this study specifically examines “The Implementation of Regulation No. 46 of 2023 on the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Kindergartens in Pidie District.” This research is crucial for assessing the effectiveness of policy implementation on a broader scale and for emphasizing the importance of early prevention, considering that violent and bullying behavior is often part of a long-term pattern

Abstract

Living in an orphanage is often perceived as a limitation for adolescents in achieving psychological well-being. However, this study aims to uncover how adolescents living in an orphanage are still able to experience happiness, gratitude, and self-acceptance. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of several adolescents living in the orphanage. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that adolescents living in an orphanage were able to build subjective well-being through gratitude for their circumstances. They viewed being in an orphanage as not an obstacle to happiness, but rather an opportunity to strengthen themselves. This gratitude was evident in their ability to accept themselves, interpret life experiences positively, and appreciate personal achievements, both small and large. Furthermore, social interactions in the orphanage enriched their experience in understanding the dynamic way life works. In conclusion, despite the limitations of living in an orphanage, adolescents were able to cultivate well-being through self-acceptance, gratitude, and adaptive coping strategies. This shows the importance of providing a conducive environment so that adolescents in orphanages can continue to develop their potential and achieve a prosperous life.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning process and outcomes of mathematics among fifth-grade students at SDN 196/II Taman Agung, as indicated by the lack of student involvement in classroom activities and the average exam scores that were still below the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) of 70. The purpose of this research is to describe improvements in the learning process and outcomes through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 20 fifth-grade students, with data collected through observation and testing using observation sheets and test instruments. Observation data were analyzed descriptively, while test data were analyzed using simple statistical formulas. The findings indicate that the implementation of the TGT Cooperative Learning Model in learning fractions and integers was categorized as Very Good, where teacher performance in Cycle I reached 83.33% and student participation increased from 60% in Cycle I to 80% in Cycle II, exceeding the success indicator of 75%. Furthermore, student learning outcomes improved significantly above the KKTP standard of 70, with mastery learning scores increasing from 75% in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II. These results show that the application of the TGT Cooperative Learning Model can effectively enhance both the learning process and outcomes of mathematics for fifth-grade students at SDN 196/II Taman Agung.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of Islamic boarding school education in the digital era with a focus on the internalization of Qur'anic values as the core of Islamic education. The rapidly growing digitalization phenomenon has brought opportunities and challenges for Islamic boarding schools, both in terms of management, learning methods, and the transmission of religious values. The method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, through a critical review of reputable journals, academic books, and relevant documents discussing the digitalization of Islamic education and the practice of internalizing Qur'anic values. The results show that digitalization not only affects the technical aspects of the implementation of Islamic boarding school education, but also impacts the pattern of teacher-student relationships, the authority of kiai, and the depth of internalization of Qur'anic values. On the one hand, digital technology expands access to knowledge, enriches learning methods, and increases the effectiveness of Islamic boarding school management. However, on the other hand, there is a risk of reducing the meaning of Qur'anic values, spiritual degradation, and the penetration of external cultures that are not always in line with Islamic boarding school traditions. This research emphasizes that the integration of digital technology and the internalization of Quranic values must be carried out critically and selectively, while still upholding the role of the exemplary role of Islamic scholars (kyai). The academic contribution of this research lies in the presentation of a new conceptual framework that connects digital transformation with the internalization of Quranic values, thus serving as a reference in developing adaptive, authentic, and transformative Islamic education strategies.
