Abstract

This dedication is motivated by the fact that there are still many teachers who are not yet skilled and even don't know the reference management technique through Mendeley. Whereas in this era, ICT-based tools like Mendeley will be able to support the professionalism of a teacher. This service is in the form of training for elementary school teachers on the use of Mendeley in scientific articles. The aim of this training is to improve the knowledge and skills of elementary school teachers in the field of reference management in scientific articles using Mendeley tools. Mendeley is a software that functions as a reference and citation manager in scientific writings. The implementation of this service uses a structured training method. In addition, there is also an activity supplement in the form of independent mentoring for teachers who are still having trouble with joint training activities. The results of the implementation showed that this activity received a very good response. This can be seen from the very communicative training interactions. Based on questionnaire data before and after this training activity, it shows that the training participants experienced an increase in knowledge and skills by 30%. It can be concluded that this activity has been quite successful in improving teacher professionalism, especially in the field of ICT mastery such as Mendeley. This is also part of an effort to advance education, especially advancing teacher human resources at the basic education level

Abstract

Lack of teacher knowledge on the importance of caring for child psychology in packing the online learning process. The purpose of the activity is educating participants, especially teachers, that in the application of an online learning model should pay attention to the needs of students ' psychology while motivating students to be active during the learning process with the learning model of assurance-relevance-interest-assessment-satisfaction. The method of implementation is to cooperate with the child protection institution of Banten Province in the webinar activities via Zoom and aired live via YouTube. The data collection is a photo-documentation of activities and questionnaires given after the activity to 120 participants. The result is for all aspects (material delivery aspect, aspect of material content, aspect benefit activities) on the poll given more than 50% participants responded: "very well". In conclusion, this activity enhances the knowledge of webinar participants, especially teachers/educators about packing an online learning plan by observing the students ' psychological needs while motivating students to be active during the learning process with the assurance-relevance-interest-assessment-satisfaction learning model

Abstract

This service is motivated by the problem of the number of provocative news that is distributed and published by citizens on social media (social media). Social media users can hide their identity which allows the emergence of unlimited communication that interferes with communication. There is no distance between social status and profession in social media, even the small people can easily comment instead criticize the leader directly. That is why messages written in social media can easily be spread and spread over a wide range and in a short period of time which then becomes viral (meaning to spread quickly and broadly like a virus). The purpose of this service is to explain the profile of provocative news that spreads on social media, the profile of pages that often contain provocative news, literacy development to ward off provocative news using theories of communication science, journalism, and farming. Provocative news tends to be close to hoak news, because news that contains hate speech will display fact manipulation to justify his hatred. Especially if the discourse is considered as a journalistic product (news). Whereas a news that is recognized as a journalistic product must be neutral and comply with the Journalistic Code of Ethics. Every news has different characteristics in terms of the depth of coverage, the depth of the facts, the speed of coverage, even in terms of the difficulty of reporting and writing. This service uses a qualitative approach to the method descriptive. Researchers will record in detail everything that can be achieved through empirical. The target in this service is 50 Subang District teachers. The results of this dedication can be concluded that after attending this counseling the teachers can distinguish provocative news so that they can convey their knowledge in school, especially to students.

Abstract

Teachers are the spearhead in educating the Nation's children, one of them is the Teachers of Jimero Junior High School in Sorong city, West Papua, Teachers must have the competence to teach students and Teachers must have strategies to be able a design and implement learning so that students are motivated to learn in being of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The anxiety of Teachers SMPTK Jimero with the minimum of all limitations in carrying out the teaching and learning process in schools is a problem that must be addressed immediately. The purpose of this PKMS training is to increase the knowledge and skills of Jimero's SMPTK teachers in implementing the Problem Solving Learning model. This training is carried out in 2 (two) stages of implementation, namely: training to strengthen understanding of the Problem Solving Learning Model and training in teaching practice using the Problem Solving Learning Model, from the results of activities from the participant response answering Strongly Agree the Problem-Solving Learning model training improves understanding and skills participant.

Abstract

The discovery of positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Cibiru Asri I complex area has an impact on residents in that environment, such as panic, worries about Covid-19 transmission, increased stress and fatigue, while knowledge about prevention measures for transmission in public places is still not optimal, marked by the use of masks which is not appropriate, hand washing facilities are not yet available and knowledge about stress management is inadequate, even though this can reduce immunity and the risk of Covid 19 transmission occurs. This activity aims to increase the role of families, especially mothers in responding to the Covid-19 outbreak. The method used as a solution to overcome partner problems is by holding educational activities about the Covid-19 disease; self-assessment of Covid-19 in families (selfi), hand washing movements (harewos), movements of wearing masks, making hand sanitizers and disinfectants (hade), healthy liver movements (hearts), stress management with finger handheld therapy and donations made online and offline. Based on the evaluation, it was found that almost all of the mothers (80%) who participated in educational activities about Covid-19, self-assessment, hand washing movements and wearing masks were in the good category, while the stress levels of mothers after being given finger handheld therapy were almost entirely (73, 3%) are in the normal category. This shows that community service activities in the form of education provided by the community service team can increase mothers' knowledge of preparedness to face Covid-19. Education for mothers can increase family knowledge, because mothers are people who act as protectors of the family, especially their children. So that education by involving mothers is necessary to continue to increase the independence of the family in facing disasters.Keywords: Covid-19, Emergency Response, Family Role

Abstract

Teachers apply the theories in the campus into reality in the classroom. Unfortunately, they face the truth that some students feel anxious in learning English. The language anxiety makes the students can not explore their performance. It becomes teachers’ anxiety when the students deal with the feeling. The aim of the community service is to discuss and brainstorm between lecturers as experts and teachers as practicians. It aims to analyze the teachers’ anxiety in teaching English. The community service is held in Cililin in January 2020. The community service is started by explaining Language Anxiety. Then, the lecturers explain about Coping Strategies. Then, they explain about teaching English based on Industrial Era 4.0 through cultural literation of Cililin. It is closed by the QnA session. Some of the lecturers by the committee. The result is the teacher's anxiety level is quite high. By joining the event of community service, the teachers can decrease their anxiety because the lecturers can give several advice and solutions. The conclusion is the anxiety level of English teachers in senior high schools can be decreased when they discuss with the lecturers in a community service event.

Abstract

Characteristics compared to those who are more mature. They generally have a high curiosity but low attention span therefore different learning methods and techniques are needed. With the development of technology, more technology-based learning techniques are being implemented. The level of education in Desa Jalancagak Subang, which is still uneven, requires refreshing learning methods, especially related to learning English. Community service entitled "Application of Kahoot interactive quiz media to improve students speaking skill in Subang village” aims to provide insight into the knowledge of teachers related to Kahoot learning media and image media which are expected to help develop students' creativity and speaking skills and skills add to the nuances of teaching activities both conventionally and more modern.

Abstract

Pendampingan ini bertujuan membantu relawan BKM mampu meningkatkan mutu organisasi dan mengembangkan asset pemberdayaan supaya program kerja menjadi lebih terarah serta assetnya bisa berkembang sesuai dengan kebutuhan menerapkan model pemberdayaan berbabis persepsi dan partisipasi masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan pertama; melakukan sosialisasi dan koordinasi dengan BKM dan pemerintah desa terkait dengan model pemberdayaan berbasis swadaya dan partisipasi masyarakat untuk menyatukan mental dan visi pemberdayaan. Kedua; proses pelatihan mengusung dua pelatihan dasar yakni manajemen mutu organisasi dan pengembangan ekonomi kreatif untuk kelangsungan asset dana yang ada. Ketiga; adalah melakukan pembinaan pemberdayaan dan sosialisasi pada warga tentang model implementasi pemberdayaan, BKM dan Perangkat menyusun perencanaan pembangunan dengan sasaran hasil kesepakatan secara musyawaroh oleh masyarakat, mengevaluasi program sekaligus mencari solusi untuk pengembangan program berikutnya. Keempat; membuatkan web sebagai media publikasi, informasi, dan transfaransi kegiatan pemberdayaan. Hasil pemberdayaan berupa peningkatan pemahaman berorganisasi dan pengembangan program untuk keberlangsungan asset pemberdayaan. Pengembangan pelatihan menghasilkan system baru pengembangan asset BKM melalui “kambing gulir” dan “gruduk masal” pada KSM penunggak. Budaya partisipasi dan mutu organisasi dikembangkan sebuah pendekatan “nek kanane” bagian kearifan local masyarakat. Abstract

The general purpose of this community service is to facilitate the community in obtaining new livelihoods during the COVID-19 period. To be able to adapt to new livelihoods, people must be equipped with skills that suit the needs of the business world, one of the alternatives is through an entrepreneurial training program (PWK). The external type of community service activities is expected to improve people's skills to work and entrepreneurship to support family income that leads to family food security. Based on the findings in the field obtained information that the program participants feel that the PWK program is considered suitable for the community amid the limitations of the community in recognizing the potential, so that most program participants expect this activity to be carried out continuously in order to improve the skills of program participants. Furthermore, the participants of this program hope that this program can be equipped with assistance in pioneering efforts. The target set in the community service food security scheme (Pbm-KP) is to provide training to the community in District Cibeureum through the PWK program so that the community acquires knowledge and skills to increase family income so that it is ultimately able to maintain the stability of family food security. The implementation team in this service as many as three people who are lecturers majoring in public education FKIP UNSIL.

Abstract

Dibawah naungan yayasan Tumenggung Argawijaya berdiri sebanyak tiga lembaga pendidikan yaitu PAUD Al-Ma’arif, TPA/TKA Al-Ma’arif dan DTA Al-Ma’arif. Jumlah pengajar tetap di yayasan ini adalah 25 orang dengan latar belakang pendidikan tertnggi S-2 satu orang, S-1 sebanyak 8 orang, D-II sebanyak 6 orang dan SLTA sebanyak sepuluh orang. Dikarenakan keterbatasan jumlah pengajar dan beragamnya latar belakang dan bidang pendidikan, ada beberapa pengajar yang mengajar merangkap di dua lembaga pendidikan, misalnya pagi mengajar di PAUD, sorenya mengajar di MDTA. Jumlah peserta didik dari tiga lembaga pendidikan adalah 224 siswa. Inovasi dan kreatifitas masih rendah yang berimplikasi pada proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pengajaran yang berlangsung , seperti kemampuan merancang rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (lesson plan) dan penggunaan media audio visual.
