Abstract

White pepper is an annual plant which has a good prospect to be developed now and future. Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province becomes the top white pepper producing province as well as the main exporter in Indonesia. The study aims to describe the demography of respondents that plant the white pepper and the various input production of white pepper in Kepulauan Banga Belitung Province. Descriptive qualitative analysis was employed to interpret the data. The revealed that the whiter pepper farmers had various input production. The majority of farmers was above 40 year-old, male, graduated from elementary school, farmers as main job, having above nine family members, having five non-worker family members, and married. The various input production of white pepper is land size, seeds, source of fund, fertilizer, pesticide and labor.

Abstract

Among the many problems, one of the obstacles to farming is the weak strategy to make up for the highest profit. The purpose of this study is to examine the direction of the development of agribusiness of dragon fruit in the integrated yard of a tourism village. This research was carried out in Banuroja Village, Randangan District, Gorontalo, from March to June 2019. This research was designed using a survey approach. The number of respondents are 58 people. The data were analyzed using the SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) methods. The analysis shows that SWOT awareness is in quadrant III (change strategy). The recommended strategy priorities consist of; (a) the development of dragon fruit-based agro-tourism through strengthening multicultural farmers in the promotion of rural tourism, (b) forming farmer groups in the integration of agricultural tourism management as an effort to strengthen institutions, and (c) developing super red dragon fruit in an effort to expand its development because it is much sought after by consumers.

Abstract

Liquid waste decoction results that are wasted need to be utilized as a new product that is economically valuable so as not to pollute the environment, one of them by making organic water fertilizer (POC). The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of anchovy boiled liquid waste on the environment around the factory, knowing the right formulation in making liquid organic fertilizer and determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from anchovy boiled liquid waste on Spinach plants. The parameters of the pollution test were BOD, COD and pH, N, P, K, C organic and organoleptic. Observation parameters on the influence of POC on Spinach plants were Wet Weight and dry weight of the plant with an oven at 40 suhuC for 3 days. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method, an experiment consisting of 1 factor, 5 liters of anchovy liquid treatment/treatment and 5 treatments, namely the concentration of EM4 with a combination of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% levels. The results of this study indicate that the effluent of boiled anchovy has an effect on the environment around the factory. The right formulation in making liquid organic fertilizer from anchovy boiled water is the addition of 5% EM4. Liquid organic fertilizer from boiled anchovy water also affects the yield of Spinach (Amaranthus sp.) Because it can increase the dry weight value of Spinach plants.

Abstract

Corn is an agricultural crop in the Indonesian community, besides rice and soybeans because almost all of the area is fertile with planting seeds, the quality of corn quality that must be fulfilled as a food ingredient is very necessary for crop-producing farmers. The k-nearest neighbor algorithm is a method used to make predictions or classifications of objects based on training data that are the closest to the object or often called the euclidian distance. In this study used replace imputation for the preprocessing stage, missing value and baggin data are used to handle datasets in large scale while k-nearest neighbor is used as a classification of quality of corn quality based on attributes Variatas, Length, Shape, Taste Color, Seasonal Technique, Pest PH. . Based on the test data the best accuracy value is 79.30%, precision is 83.04% while recall with the value of 80.93% is obtained from the results of the performance test of bagging and replace imputation methods on the k-nearest neighbor algorithm with handling of missing value.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the level of implementation of training materials, tools and agricultural machinery post-harvest facilitation on the performance of agricultural extension. This research was used descriptive quantitative approach, analysis data that was done using descriptively, verification and regresion methods. Descriptive method was used to describe the implementation of the training, the level of support/ facilitation the training results that related with the job description/function, and to know the supporting factors and obstacles in applying the training results related with job description/function of the alumni of the training. Verification method was used to know the corelation or causality between variables (support from supervisors, facilities from the leader, cross-confirmation, support from colleagues/partners) are evaluated by data analysis techniques (correlation) using SPSS. Correlation for verification the material application results obtained by data from direct supervisors, colleagues/partners and the assisted farmers. While the regression method was used to determine the effect of facilities from the leader, the intensity of accompaniment to the farmers and evaluation of accompaniment on the level of implementation the materials. The results showed that the average level of material implementation to the training material is 50% of the total material trained based on the statement of the direct supervisors, colleagues/partners and the assisted farmers. The result of correlation between the participants origins and the level of material application shows that the highest level of material application came from West Nusa Tenggara and Central Java Provinces, while the improvement of performance with the implementation of the lowest training materials came from Bali and East Nusa Tenggara Provinces. The training material implementation level was 9% influenced by the facilities from direct supervisor, the intensity of accompaniment, evaluation of accompaniment and level of implementationby farmers.

Abstract

The UMKM which is the target of this research is the UMKM which is engaged in processing fish caught in Pasuruan Regency. There are several superior products of processed fish caught in Pasuruan Regency which are managed by UMKM so far so many and can be one alternative to improve the welfare of MSME entrepreneurs. However, from the processed fishery products to become a valuable product, a good management is needed so that the supply or availability of catched fish is sufficient in order to equalize and fulfill the desired demand. In supporting this inventory control activity, a management concept is needed that can regulate the flow of goods and information that is precise and accurate from the supply chain, namely the concept of Supply Chain Management (SCM). The focus of the research is on how to manage the supply chain of fish raw materials from captured products through research methods using Supply chain Management (SCM) with the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, to then proceed with the implementation of a sales development strategy for MSME Coastal Superior Products. From the results of the analysis and discussion obtained in the determination of supplier selection criteria, a pairwise comparison between criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives using the Fuzzy AHP method to produce weights. Based on the criteria and sub-criteria in supplier selection, overall supplier A (UMKM in the Lekok District Region) was rated as the best supplier weighing 1,699, the second priority was supplier B (UMKM in the Nguling District Region) with a weight of 1,345, while supplier C (UMKM in the Region Kraton District) is the last priority with a weight of 1,098

Abstract

Soap is a mixture of sodium compounds with fatty acids that are used as a body cleansing agent, in the form of solid, foam, with or without other additives and does not cause irritation to the skin. To improve quality, bath soap can be given additional ingredients that contain vitamins and various nutrients needed by the skin such as the addition of extracts of karika fruit (Carica pubescens). The purpose of this research is to find out the right formulation in making karika soap. This research used an experimental method with randomized block design (RCBD), consisting of two factorial variations in the concentration of karika juice (0%, 100%, 80%, 60%) and variations in the concentration of NaOH (30%, 35%, and 40% ) so that 12 treatments were obtained each with 3 replications. The process of making soap uses the hot process method. Soap quality analysis is carried out by comparing the results of chemical tests for karika soap with SNI 06-3532-1994 (SNI for solid bath soap), foam stability test, soap hardness, and organoleptic test. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA with a confidence interval of 5%. If an effect is found on one of the variebel, a further Tukey test is performed. The results showed that the water content, pH, and free alkali did not meet SNI, while the amount of fatty acids and mineral oil was in accordance with SNI, the significant difference between treatments was only in the water content. Karika soap has abundant and stable foam. The higher concentration of karika juice make the lower hardness of the soap. Organoleptic test results showed a low level of preference for panelists on karika soap products. The suggestion from this research is that karika juice can be tried to applied it in the liquid bath.

Abstract

Pasuruan Regency is one area that has the potential to manage fishing products because this area has a coastal area whose people work as fishermen. Based on the potential of natural resources possessed, the level of income and welfare of coastal communities can be better than other village areas. However, the level of income and welfare of coastal communities is still lacking, one of which is less than optimal in processing fishing products. The purpose of this study is to optimize the processing of coastal fishing products and formulate business strategies through the Linear Programming and Business Model Canvas methods. The final result obtained is a profit value of Rp. 84,642.33 per person, while the Model of the Development of Fishing Management of coastal communities in facing the industrial era 4.0 in order to create added value through the use of online media.

Abstract

The green revolution has left a trail of civilization that is so awesome. Indonesia reached self-sufficiency in food through changes about ways of farming in the community. However, the development strategy which is the big push is gradually getting eliminates the values of local wisdom in farming activity. Farmers are directed in uniformity, from the use of the seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides. As a result, many local plant seed began to become extinct and replaced by new varieties that are sometimes incompatible with the environment. For this reason, this paper is present with the aim of seeing how the local wisdom plays a role in agricultural practices in the hamlet of Cetho, especially in terms of seedling onion. The approach used is a qualitative approach using descriptive method and the analysis of the discourse. The data used are the primary and secondary data collected through methods of the study of literature, interviews and observation. From the discussion it is known that in agricultural practices conducted by the people of Cetho hamlet is still full of local traditions that envelop. Local wisdom that exists not only related to the problem of solidarity among the people but has been rooted to the community activities in farming and its efforts to achieve environmental balance. One of them is in the manufacture and storage of onion seeds. The process, farmers choose seeds from the remaining good quality harvest, tied up and placed in a place that is in the kitchen ceiling. The goal is that the smoke from the fireplace can be about onion seeds so as to resist pest attack disease. This local wisdom has been obtained from generation to generation and practiced daily. However, it is necessary to study from the government or researchers related to onion seeds produced like this in the framework of the development of nature conservation based on local knowledge of the community.

Abstract

Red guava is generally processed into fruit juice. Fruit juice can be used as an additional ingredient in making goat milk kefir to increase public interest in goat milk. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of application time and concentration of addition of red guava juice on levels of TAT, vitamin C, pH and hedonic kefir test. The research method used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments 3 replications. The treatments given are giving fruit juice before fermentation with 10% concentration (P1), giving fruit juice before fermentation with 30% concentration (P2), giving fruit juice after fermentation with 10% concentration (P3) and giving fruit juice after fermentation with 30% concentration (P4). Data analysis for TAT, vitamin C, pH and hedonic test parameters analyzed by ANOVA followed by duncan tests. Application time and concentration of addition of red guava juice have a significant effect on TAT, Vitamin C and pH.. Based on the hedonic test results, the combination of adding fruit juice after fermentation with 30% concentration has the highest value with a color test value of 3.55 (like moderately), aroma 2.98 (neither like), a taste of 3.53 (like moderately), thickness of 3.29 (neither like) and overall like 3,6 (like moderately). Addition of juice after fermentation with a concentration of 30% has TAT ​​(1.65%), Vitamin C (94.13 mg) and pH (4.00).
