Abstract

Abstract This study explores students’ needs for deep learning-oriented Islamic Education materials at SD Negeri 7 Kediri Tabanan. A qualitative case study approach was employed, using classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results reveal that current materials remain textual and focus on memorization without contextual application. Teachers face challenges in linking Islamic values to real-life contexts, while students expect more interactive, visual, and applicable learning resources. The findings highlight the urgency of developing Islamic Education materials that promote critical, reflective, and contextual thinking. This study contributes to pedagogical innovation by emphasizing the importance of student-centered material design to enhance meaningful understanding and practice of Islamic values. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kebutuhan siswa terhadap bahan ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang berorientasi pada deep learning di SD Negeri 7 Kediri Tabanan. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan studi kasus kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi kelas, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan saat ini masih bersifat tekstual dan berfokus pada hafalan tanpa keterkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Guru mengalami kesulitan mengaitkan nilai-nilai Islam dengan konteks nyata, sementara siswa membutuhkan bahan ajar yang lebih interaktif, visual, dan aplikatif. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan bahan ajar PAI yang mendukung berpikir kritis, reflektif, dan kontekstual. Studi ini berkontribusi pada inovasi pedagogis dengan menekankan perlunya desain bahan ajar berbasis kebutuhan siswa untuk memperkuat pemahaman dan pengamalan nilai-nilai Islam secara bermakna. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in nurturing religious moderation and mutual respect within the multicultural school environment of SDN 5 Gubug, Tabanan Regency. The research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in cultivating religious moderation through contextual learning, the integration of local wisdom such as Tri Hita Karana, and the promotion of interfaith understanding among students. The implementation of IRE is supported by teacher pedagogical competence and inclusive school policies that encourage tolerance and social harmony. However, challenges arise from external influences, including exclusive digital religious content and limited parental involvement. Overall, Islamic Religious Education at SDN 5 Gubug functions as an effective medium for fostering tolerance and mutual respect from an early age. Continuous teacher development and strengthened collaboration between schools, families, and communities are essential to sustain and enhance the impact of religious moderation education at the elementary level.

Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes the implementation of strategic management in transforming and enhancing competitiveness at Al Amin Islamic Elementary School, Tabanan. A qualitative descriptive case study was conducted using interviews, observations, and document analysis, following Miles and Huberman’s model. Strategic management involves three key stages: Islamic value-based planning, transformational leadership in implementation, and participatory continuous evaluation. The application strengthened institutional performance and Islamic identity, supporting Bryson’s and Porter’s theories that strategic management integrated with spiritual values enhances competitiveness. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan manajemen strategis mencakup tiga tahapan utama: perencanaan strategis berbasis visi keislaman, implementasi melalui kepemimpinan transformasional dan inovasi pembelajaran, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan dengan partisipasi seluruh warga madrasah. Penerapan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kinerja lembaga, tetapi juga memperkuat identitas Islam dan kepercayaan masyarakat. Hasil ini memperkuat teori Strategic Planning Model (Bryson) dan Competitive Advantage Theory (Porter), serta menegaskan bahwa manajemen strategis efektif bila disinergikan dengan nilai spiritual dan budaya lokal. Abstract

Abstract Menstruation education in Islamic Religious Learning (IRL) at the elementary level remains a sensitive and often neglected topic due to cultural taboos and limited instructional resources. To address this, the study explores the need for Android-based interactive learning media to teach menstruation material in a more engaging and religiously appropriate way. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach conducted at SD Negeri 1 Gebang. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving Islamic education teachers and female fourth-grade students. Data analysis included reduction, categorization, display, and verification stages.Findings revealed that both teachers and students face challenges in discussing menstruation topics. Teachers lack digital teaching materials, while students experience discomfort and curiosity. The need analysis indicated that Android-based media featuring visual, audio, and interactive elements could increase engagement, understanding, and privacy while aligning with Islamic values.The study concludes that Android-based interactive media are highly needed to transform Islamic Religious Learning into a more inclusive and modern framework. Such media can bridge the gap between scientific understanding and religious teaching, making menstruation education more accessible, respectful, and effective for young Muslim girls. Keywords: Islamic Education, Android-Based Media, Menstruation, Need Analysis, Interactive Learning Abstrak Pembelajaran materi haid dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di tingkat sekolah dasar masih menjadi topik sensitif dan sering dihindari karena faktor budaya serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Android dalam mengenalkan materi haid secara menarik dan sesuai nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 1 Gebang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru PAI dan siswi kelas IV. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi, kategorisasi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam membahas topik haid. Guru kekurangan bahan ajar digital, sedangkan siswi merasa malu dan ingin tahu. Analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa media berbasis Android dengan elemen visual, audio, dan interaktif dapat meningkatkan minat, pemahaman, serta menjaga privasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sesuai nilai Islam. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa media interaktif berbasis Android sangat dibutuhkan untuk mentransformasi pembelajaran PAI menjadi lebih inklusif dan modern, sekaligus menjembatani pemahaman ilmiah dan keagamaan dalam pendidikan haid bagi siswi Muslim. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop student worksheet assisted by the Canva application with a genre pedagogical model and a profile of descriptive text writing abilities for fifth-grade elementary school students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R & D) research using the ADDIE model. Based on the results of expert validation, it shows a very valid level of 0.94-1.00 and the expert agreement criteria get a percentage of 67% - 100% with a high and almost perfect category. Based on the results of the study after the implementation of student worksheet based on the genre pedagogical model assisted by the Canva application and the profile of descriptive text wrote abilities is the result of data analysis of descriptive text writing abilities that include three aspects, namely topics, section descriptions, and conclusions. In the topic aspect there are 7 students with very good categories, and 13 students with good categories. For the section description aspect there are 9 students in the very good category, 11 students with good categories. Finally, the conclusion aspect has 1 person with a very good category, 15 students with good categories and 4 students with sufficient categories. The use of student worksheets based on the genre pedagogical model assisted by the Canva application obtained the highest results in the topic and section description aspects and still found sufficient categories in the conclusion aspect, this will be the focus for providing more practice in wrote descriptive texts.

Abstract

Abstract Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often perceived as abstract and disconnected from students’ real-life experiences. This study introduces the local art of Damar Kurung from Gresik as an ethnomathematical medium to strengthen students’ understanding of plane geometry. This research employed a qualitative case study design conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum Kesamben Wetan Gresik. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that integrating Damar Kurung into mathematics learning enhances student engagement, spatial reasoning, and appreciation of local culture. Teachers became more creative in linking geometric concepts with cultural artifacts, resulting in a more meaningful and enjoyable learning process. Damar Kurung ethnomathematics serves as an effective alternative to connect mathematics with students’ cultural identity and daily life. This model not only improves cognitive understanding but also fosters cultural values, creativity, and pride in local heritage. Penelitian ini berupaya menghadirkan konteks budaya lokal Gresik melalui seni Damar Kurung sebagai media etnomatematika untuk memperkuat pemahaman konsep bangun datar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum Kesamben Wetan Gresik. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Damar Kurung dalam pembelajaran matematika meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, kemampuan berpikir spasial, dan apresiasi terhadap budaya lokal. Guru juga lebih kreatif dalam mengaitkan konsep geometri dengan artefak budaya, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih kontekstual dan menyenangkan. Etnomatematika Damar Kurung menjadi alternatif efektif untuk menghubungkan matematika dengan kehidupan dan identitas budaya siswa. Model ini tidak hanya memperkuat pemahaman kognitif, tetapi juga menumbuhkan nilai-nilai budaya, kreativitas, dan rasa memiliki terhadap warisan lokal. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the integration of Nyadran Tirta Wening cultural values into IPAS (Integrated Natural and Social Science) learning to develop elementary students’ ecological intelligence. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed at SD Negeri 2 Jati from October 2025. The participants included a classroom teacher, third-grade students, the principal, and community members involved in the Nyadran Tirta Wening tradition. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The results indicate that cultural values such as gratitude for water sources, cooperation, and environmental care were successfully integrated into IPAS learning through school-based project activities. This process fostered students’ ecological awareness, understanding, and responsible actions toward nature. The combination of local wisdom and scientific learning created meaningful, contextualized learning experiences that enhanced students’ moral and environmental sensitivity. The study concludes that integrating local cultural values into IPAS learning is an effective pedagogical strategy to promote ecological intelligence while preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 2 Jati pada bulan Oktober 2025. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru kelas, siswa kelas III, kepala sekolah, dan tokoh masyarakat yang terlibat dalam tradisi Nyadran Tirta Wening. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai budaya Nyadran Tirta Wening seperti rasa syukur terhadap sumber air, gotong royong, dan kepedulian lingkungan berhasil diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran IPAS melalui kegiatan proyek berbasis sekolah. Proses ini mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran, pemahaman, dan tindakan ekologis pada siswa. Pembelajaran yang menggabungkan kearifan lokal dengan sains menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna dan relevan dengan kehidupan siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai budaya lokal ke dalam pembelajaran IPAS merupakan strategi efektif untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan ekologis sekaligus melestarikan kearifan budaya bangsa. Abstract

This study examines the development of students’ spiritual intelligence through religious extracurricular activities in a public-based Islamic elementary school. The research was conducted at MI Bustanul Ulum 09 Curah Lele Balung using a qualitative Phenomenoapproach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving ten participants, consisting of one principal, three teachers supervising religious extracurricular activities, and six actively involved students. The data were analyzed using interactive techniques of data reduction, data display, and verification. The findings indicate that religious extracurricular activities such as tahfidz, yasinan, collective dhuha prayer, and Islamic storytelling function not only as routine religious practices but also as experiential learning processes that foster students’ spiritual intelligence. Students demonstrate increased sincerity, discipline, empathy, and religious awareness through sustained participation. Teachers play a central role as spiritual mentors (murabbi) by modeling values and facilitating reflective dialogue, while parental and community involvement strengthens value consistency between school and home. This study implies that religious extracurricular programs should be managed as integral components of character and spiritual education rather than supplementary activities. Strategically integrating reflective practices into these programs can enhance their transformative impact on students’ spiritual development. Future research is recommended to involve a larger number of participants and diverse school settings, as well as to employ longitudinal or mixed-method approaches to examine the long-term effects of religious extracurricular activities on students’ spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the formation of students’ moral character through dzikir practices and the internalization of religious values at MI Al-Khairiyah Dusun Melik, Parijatah Kulon Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency. The research is motivated by behavioral issues among students, particularly declining discipline, politeness, and self-control, highlighting the need for spiritually grounded pedagogical approaches. Using a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis, the study investigates the roles of teachers, school culture, and religious activities in shaping students’ character. The findings reveal that daily dzikir enhances emotional calmness, spiritual awareness, and adherence to school norms. Additionally, the internalization of religious values—instilled through habituation, modeling, and integration in Islamic education lessons—effectively fosters responsibility, empathy, and respectful attitudes among students. These results indicate that character formation becomes more effective when spiritual practices and value-based instruction are consistently embedded in school routines. The study also fills a gap in the literature regarding the use of dzikir as a pedagogical strategy in Islamic elementary education and proposes a viable model of religious-based character development for primary schools in Indonesia. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis proses pembentukan akhlak siswa melalui praktik dzikir dan internalisasi nilai religius di MI Al-Khairiyah Dusun Melik, Desa Parijatah Kulon, Kecamatan Srono, Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari fenomena degradasi perilaku siswa, terutama terkait kedisiplinan, kesantunan, dan kontrol diri, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan pedagogis berbasis spiritual untuk memperkuat karakter. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen, penelitian ini menelaah peran guru, budaya sekolah, serta aktivitas keagamaan dalam membentuk perilaku siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dzikir harian berkontribusi pada peningkatan ketenangan emosional, kesadaran spiritual, dan kepatuhan terhadap norma sekolah. Selain itu, pemahaman nilai religius yang diintegrasikan melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan penguatan materi PAI terbukti efektif menumbuhkan tanggung jawab, empati, dan sikap hormat siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembentukan akhlak berjalan optimal ketika praktik spiritual dan nilai religius diterapkan secara konsisten dalam rutinitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini juga mengisi kekosongan kajian terkait implementasi dzikir sebagai strategi pedagogis pada jenjang sekolah dasar Islam dan menawarkan model pembinaan karakter berbasis religius yang relevan untuk pendidikan dasar. Abstract

This research is in the background by the low speaking ability of early childhood to learning to take place. The learning media used by educators tends to be monotonous and less interesting for children and less interactive so that children's interest in learning is reduced to pay attention to learning. The media used is not attractive, making children quickly bored in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the needs for the development of animated video media on early childhood speaking skills in Nurul Jannah Kindergarten Palembang Kindergarten. The method used was qualitative descriptive with interview techniques and questionnaires to 2 educators and 12 children at Nurul Jannah Kindergarten Palembang. The results of the study show that educators experience obstacles in the use of learning media for early childhood, interaction with children is slightly hampered because learning is not interesting. Meanwhile, children show a high interest in animated video media, attracting responses in learning between teachers and children, communicative language, and interesting technology-based learning. The needs analysis shows that the development of animated video media for early childhood speaking skills at Nurul Jannah Palembang Kindergarten is an effective medium in creating good learning for children, contextual, and humanist for early childhood so as to create reciprocity between teachers and children in carrying out learning in the classroom
