Abstract

Background: Chronic kidney failure is a kidney disorder characterized by abnormalities in kidney structure and function, patients with kidney failure are characterized by a decrease in glomerular filtration rate so that they require kidney function replacement therapy, such as Hemodialysis. This Hemodialysis therapy plays an important role in ensuring patient survival in addition to physical side effects, there are also often psychological side effects such as anxiety, quality of life and depression that can be felt by patients undergoing Hemodialysis therapy. Research Objective: Knowing the factors associated with the development of side effects in Hemodialysis patients at dr. Adjidarmo Lebak Hospital in 2023. Research Methodology: Descriptive with research design using cross sectional approach. Research Findings: Obtained from 85 respondents, half of the respondents 50,6% are older which is more than the same as 45 years with most respondents 65,9% being female and almost half of respondents 37,6% having an average high school education. The results also found that most respondents 56,5% with worker status. Most respondents 75,3% had comorbidities. And as much as 35,3% of hemodialysis is 7-12 months old. 34,1% of hemodialysis has been > 12 months, and 30,6% have been hemodialysis for 1-6 months. The results also showed the results of the relationship between the variables of education level and the variable duration of hemodialysis with the development of side effects in Hemodialysis patients, as well as the absence of the relationship of variables age, gender, occupation and comorbidities to the development of side effects in Hemodialysis patients. Conclusion and Recommendations: The results of this study are expected to be used as a basis for awareness of high incidence of anxiety, especially in patients who have just undergone hemodialysis. In addition, the results of this study can also be the basis for future researchers to develop management interventions to overcome anxiety in patients who have just undergone hemodialysis.

Abstract

Background: One contributing factor to the failure of breastfeeding is the rising prevalence of mothers engaged in full-time employment, exemplified by occupations like factory work. This phenomenon is attributed to various impediments, including restricted intervals for rest, inadequacy of workplace amenities and provisions, and the presence of fatigue. Objective: To comprehensively understand the breastfeeding endeavors of mothers employed at PT Heinz ABC factory, delving into their experiences is imperative. Methods: Qualitative The research employed a generic qualitative research approach, utilizing purposive sampling as the sampling technique. The research involved nine informants who were mothers employed in factories and had children aged between 7-24 months. Data collection was conducted through online in-depth interviews conducted via WhatsApp voice calls. The researchers also employed supportive instruments, specifically interview guides that had undergone pilot interviews beforehand. The data analysis was conducted through thematic analysis. Results: This research is segmented into three themes, namely knowledge, self-efficacy, and barriers. Conclusion: The prevalence of breastfeeding practices among mothers employed in factories remains low. This can be attributed to obstacles hindering the sustained implementation of exclusive breastfeeding, including inadequacies in workplace facilities, restricted rest intervals, psychological pressure, and low self-efficacy.

Abstract

Stigma against persons with psychosocial disabilities in the mass media causes people to be afraid to seek help and open up in public spaces. Stigmanisai in the mass media occurs through the designation ODGJ or People with Mental Disorders which should since the Law on Persons with Disabilities be referred to as persons with psychosocial mental disabilities. The study used the CADS method or Corpus Assisted Discourse Studies with the keywords mention of OGDJ and the relationship between word frequencies that appeared in the mass media whose results showed that the word ODGJ was dominated by news related to law enforcement through the institution of police power at various levels as bourgeois actions in the public sphere. The news also shows more about actions that in theory stigma as behavior that is strongly disapproved of by the social normal that is full of normal. This is a form of mass media framing of psychosocial mental people by serving the value of society as an interesting news article for readers and viewers to enjoy rather than advocating for people and disability issues as social justice issues that require broad access to appropriate treatment.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of extra fooding on the fatigue of field workers at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Medan Selatan. This study considered the impact of additional food intake on fatigue levels, taking into account factors such as physical activity, rest time, working environment conditions, and the type of additional food consumed. The quantitative research method involved 20 engineering service workers who were given additional food in cucumber juice and coconut water. Data was collected before and after consuming extra food, with fatigue levels measured using a psychometrically tested rating scale. Descriptive statistical and regression analyses were performed to establish the relationship between extra food consumption and changes in fatigue levels. The results show that extra fooding has the potential to reduce fatigue in field workers, but the impact may vary depending on contextual factors. In conclusion, a holistic and integrated approach is needed in managing worker fatigue in the field, considering nutritional aspects and other factors that influence their working conditions.

The Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas) is a planned activity carried out jointly with awareness, willingness, and ability to behave healthily to improve the quality of life. People generally see health as related to lifestyle, if they are sick then it must have something to do with food even though the influence of the environment on health is quite large. So the purpose of this study is to find out and educate the public on environmental health. This study uses descriptive quantitative research design with the population of Pulau Atas in Samarinda, selecting 100 respondents with incidental sampling technique and using interviews to find out the condition of the community. Respondents who have trash bins are 76, who do waste sorting are only 38, recycling waste is 9, who recycle waste by making compost is 1 person and recycle waste by making handicrafts are 8. Respondents who have latrines are 99. The majority of respondents used PDAM water as many as 86 people and respondents who consumed refillable gallon water were 69. Almost most of the community has understood implementing a healthy environment such as garbage, use of latrines and clean water for daily activities. Only a small part of the community does not apply a healthy environment. However, waste management is still not maximally carried out.
