Abstract

The ever-increasing population has resulted in the need for land increasing. In response to this, careful anticipation, planning, monitoring and evaluation are needed in setting the Detailed Spatial Planning Plan (RDTR). This research examines land changes that occurred between 2013 and 2023 to see the dynamics of growth that occurred. Apart from that, this research also reviews the suitability of land use with the use of satellite imagery and applicable RDTR maps by providing responses and recommendations for cases that occur. The use of a quantitative approach with descriptive methods and survey methods shows that research results show that there are land changes that have occurred, namely an increase in the area of settlements and a reduction in the area of green open spaces for nature conservation, RTNH, river borders and Sutet borders. The mismatch between land use and land capability class has the potential to degrade land resources and hinder the region's ability to implement its programs, so it is necessary to provide land use regulations in the Coblong District area that are adapted to spatial developments.

Abstract

Land use is generally influenced by land capabilities and land location. This research aims to determine the suitability of land for a campground on Leuwenghejo Hill. For campground activities, land use is influenced by land suitability classes which are characterized by the presence of supporting and inhibiting factors such as land drainage, flood danger, permeability, slope, soil texture, loose rock, exposed rock, reachability of water sources, distance to settlements and areas. disaster. The method used is a descriptive method using primary and secondary data arranged into spatial data and processed using overlay and matching analysis. The research results show that the suitability of the Leuweunghejo hill land for camping grounds is mostly (98.9%) marginal (S3) with limiting factors, namely permeability, surface soil texture and distance to water sources. Meanwhile, 1.1% of unsuitable land (N) for campsites has very heavy inhibiting factors and high slopes, difficult access to areas, and is far from water sources. So, based on an analysis of the land on Leuweunghejo Hill, it is marginally suitable for establishing a camping area. Land with marginal suitability (S3) can be handled using tent installation techniques that involve making small water channels around the tent, deep and strong stakes, and creating water reservoirs.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high pressure of urbanization in DKI Jakarta, which has led to a reduction in green open spaces and an increase in air pollution, worsening the quality of the urban environment. These challenges hinder Jakarta's efforts to become a green city, which requires balancing development and environmental preservation. This study aims to analyze Jakarta's suitability as a green city based on urban environmental criteria using a Spatial Multi-Criteria Analysis (SMCA) approach. Using spatial data such as existing green areas, paddy fields, green open spaces, and bike lanes, as well as Landsat 8 satellite imagery, data rasterization and criteria weighting were conducted to produce an SMCA model. The results indicate that most areas in Jakarta show good suitability for a green city, although the measured greenness intensity, indicated by NDVI, tends to be low. A positive correlation between suitability and NDVI shows that areas with higher suitability tend to have greener and denser vegetation. The identification of three areas with the highest suitability provides guidance for decision-makers in optimizing green open space development. These findings can be used to formulate more effective strategies to enhance urban environmental quality and realize the green city concept in Jakarta through a combination of spatial analysis and appropriate policies.

Abstract

This study analyzes changes in vegetation density in Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency, using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) algorithm based on Landsat-8 OLI satellite imagery. Data from 2019 (low rainfall: 599 mm²) and 2022 (high rainfall: 2202 mm²) were compared to assess the impact of climate variability on vegetation. Results indicate that NDVI values in 2019 ranged from -0.31 to 0.79, with sparse vegetation dominating (36.12%). By 2022, NDVI values improved to -0.28–0.84, showing a significant increase in dense vegetation (+10.21%). The analysis demonstrates that rainfall significantly influences vegetation density, with wet seasons enhancing vegetation health and coverage. This study recommends routine NDVI-based monitoring for sustainable environmental planning. Validation using Google Earth confirms the findings' accuracy. Future research should incorporate field surveys and anthropogenic factor analysis for more comprehensive insights.

Abstract

Analyzes vegetation density changes in Serang City (2014-2024) using Landsat satellite imagery and the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). The research aims to assess urban vegetation degradation patterns and compliance with Indonesia's 30% green space regulation (UU No. 26/2007). Results show significant vegetation loss, with high-density vegetation (NDVI ≥0.45) decreasing from 7,481 ha (2014) to 4,814 ha (2024), while non-vegetated areas increased from 1,331 ha to 3,642 ha. The NDVI analysis reveals a 35.6% reduction in high-density green areas, primarily due to urban expansion. Methodologically, the study employs radiometrically-corrected Landsat-8 OLI data (bands 4-Red and 5-NIR) processed in a GIS environment, validated through Google Earth. The findings highlight urgent needs for urban green space rehabilitation and stricter land-use policies. This research contributes to sustainable city planning by providing a decade-long vegetation change baseline using remote sensing technology. Future studies should incorporate ground-truth verification and climate variables for comprehensive analysis.

Abstract

The urgency of providing education about disasters for blind students is to increase the knowledge capacity of blind students about disaster mitigation, with the hope that blind students can evacuate themselves independently when a disaster occurs. Providing disaster education for blind students is important because blind people have mobility barriers, making it difficult for them to evacuate themselves when a disaster occurs. So far, inclusive disaster risk reduction efforts for students with visual impairments in Banyuwangi Regency have not been implemented properly, there are still schools that have not been completely touched by disaster education, namely SDLB A Negeri Banyuwangi. The absence of socialization efforts and the provision of disaster learning media has made students' knowledge about disasters only limited but they do not know what attitudes/steps they should take when a disaster occurs. Therefore, researchers want to contribute as an effort to increase disaster knowledge for blind students by using DISABU-TUNE media which has been adjusted to the learning characteristics of blind students. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, there is an increase in the average student learning outcomes regarding disasters from the original 51.2 to 83.4, and the test of the influence of media on students' knowledge gets the results of 0.8303, or is included in the very high category.

Abstract

Everyone has the right to access health facilities, including the residents of Kalimantan Island. The focus of this study is on applying spatial analysis to find trends in the distribution of health services across the island of Kalimantan. In order to ascertain the clustering of locations with high (hotspot) and low (coldspot) concentration of health facilities, this study used the Getis-Ord Gi* hotspot analysis and the Moran's I spatial autocorrelation test. Population concentartion was also examined for additional analysis. The findings indicate that there are five coldspots in places like Sambas and Kapuas Hulu Regencies, in addition to two hotspots in Pontianak City and Balikpapan City. According to other findings,  there is a significant positive link between the number of health facilities and high population density locations, such as urban areas, whereas distant and border areas typically have less health services in terms of spatial arrangement. The government can use the recommendations from this study to plan a more fair and efficient distribution of health services in Kalimantan.
