The mitoni tradition or seven-month ceremony during the first pregnancy is part of Javanese culture that is rich in symbolic meaning, but the meaning of the symbols in this procession has not been studied in depth. The lack of exploration of the semiotic aspects of this procession has led to a gap in understanding the cultural and spiritual values contained within it. This study aims to analyze and interpret the symbolic meanings in the Seven-Month Ceremony, particularly in uncovering the triadic relationship between signs, objects, and interpreters. This is a qualitative study. The research subjects consist of 26 cultural symbols identified from the video of the Mitoni Aaliyah Massaid ceremony, comprising 15 plant-based symbols and 11 symbols from natural elements. Data was collected through visual observation of one main video using documentation techniques and structured observation guided by a symbol worksheet. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data selection, symbol coding, content analysis, semiotic analysis, meaning interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the symbols in the mitoni procession contain values of purity, protection, fertility, hope, and spirituality that reflect the worldview of Javanese society. The conclusion of this research affirms that the mitoni procession is a form of visual cultural communication that contains a complex system of signs and can be scientifically analyzed through triadic semiotics. The implications of this research support the preservation of cultural heritage and serve as a reference in the development of education based on local wisdom.

Many individuals with normal or even above-average intelligence experience difficulties in reading, writing, and speaking without any apparent sensory or educational causes. This condition is known as dyslexia, which often goes undetected early on and has a negative impact on language learning processes. This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the types of dyslexia, its neurological causes, and effective intervention strategies to minimize language barriers for individuals with dyslexia. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subject consists of one individual with dyslexia who exhibits significant difficulties in reading, writing, and speaking. Data was collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation related to the subject's language development. Research instruments include interview guides and structured observation sheets. Data was analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns of language disorders and their causal factors. The results of the study indicate that dyslexia is a neurological disorder that affects the left hemisphere of the brain responsible for language processing. Two types of dyslexia were identified: developmental dyslexia, which is genetic, and acquired dyslexia, which results from brain damage. Although it cannot be cured, the disorder can be minimized through intervention and specialized learning strategies. The study concluded that early diagnosis and individualized learning approaches are crucial for supporting literacy skills in individuals with dyslexia. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of teacher training and the provision of specialized pedagogical strategies for students with diverse learning needs.

Students often have trouble developing their math reasoning skills to the fullest because they don't have the habit of thinking reflectively and don't have strong connections between math concepts. This problem shows the need for learning that can systematically integrate habits of mind and mathematical connections into students' thinking processes. This study aims to analyze in depth the direct and indirect effects of habits of mind on mathematical reasoning skills through students' mathematical connections in 10th grade high school. This is a quantitative study with an ex-post facto design. The research subjects consist of 342 students as the main sample. Data were collected using instruments in the form of a mathematical connection ability test, a mathematical reasoning ability test, and a habits of mind questionnaire. The instruments underwent content validity testing, reliability testing, and item characteristic analysis using Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Item Response Theory. The data analysis techniques used were regression analysis and path analysis to examine the causal relationships between variables directly and indirectly. The analysis results indicate a significant direct effect of habits of mind on students' mathematical connection abilities. The findings of this study suggest that habits of mind play a crucial role in enhancing students' mathematical reasoning abilities indirectly through the strengthening of mathematical connections. This finding underscores the importance of integrating affective and cognitive aspects in mathematics education. The implications of this study are that teachers need to design learning strategies that can foster habits of mind.

Local history is often marginalized within the grand narrative of national history, resulting in the underrepresentation of regional cultural identities in the collective memory. This condition contributes to the low level of students’ historical consciousness rooted in local experiences and wisdom. This study aims to critically analyze, evaluate the relevance, and formulate a model for integrating local historical heritage into history learning in order to foster historical awareness, cultivate reflective attitudes, and promote the decolonization of knowledge through the application of critical pedagogy. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects consisted of 6 history teachers, 5 traditional leaders, and 45 high school students, while the research instruments included interview guides, observation sheets, and document analysis formats. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that the integration of local history can transform students’ roles from passive recipients into active meaning-makers, strengthen historical consciousness, and create space for critical reflection on dominant historical narratives. The study concludes that history learning based on critical pedagogy can serve as an effective strategy to address the marginalization of local history while simultaneously reinforcing students’ cultural identity. The implications highlight the importance of developing inclusive curricula and transformative pedagogical practices that are relevant to local cultural contexts and enrich the theoretical discourse of critical pedagogy.
