Abstract

Abstract— The aim of this research is to explore how supply chain management (SCM) of small and medium (SMEs) business gaining successful succession. This study tries to fill the gap in previous studies concerning supply chain effectiveness in SMEs, especially in family business. To gather information, we carried out a series informal individual deep interviews, with key informants of Lunpia Semarang located in Semarang city. Using metafor from mitosis of cell, produced business-mitosis perspective successful succession in third generation of small family business. In this context, the application of the concept of SCM in the operation strategy of SMEs seems to be a very important function. This supply chain also covers all three aspects of sustainable development: business, environmental, and social. The result of study revealed that Lunpia Semarang have three business entities namely Lunpia Pemuda, Lunpia Mataram, and Lunpia Gang Lombok, and each of them is an independent business. Thus it can be concluded that the for gaining a competitive advantage, SCM is an effective tool to SMEs, which to deliver the right product and service at the most opportune time and at the lowest possible cost to the right customer.

Abstract

Abstract— macroeconomic aspects of preferred value chains. This paper introduces the concept of SCM and illustrates its applications in agroindustries, with a focus on Value Added Tac (VAT) in Indonesia. VAT is one of the main sources of tax revenue in Indonesia, which is a percentage applied to the sale price charged for goods or services at every point in the supply chain. Currently, the tax revenue is one of the fiscal risks that must be mitigated by the Government, since it never reached the target in the last ten years except in 2008. One discourse being raised to increase tax revenue is to charge VAT on all goods and services, including the agriculture sector. This paper uses the latest of Indonesian social accounting matrix (SAM) multiplier model to quantify the economic impact of the supply chain system for imposition of VAT on the agriculture sector. The overview of agriculture value chain in Indonesia was done and supply chain risk management and logistics cost were described. Then, the recommendation was provided for optimizing the agricultural value chain. The results is the imposition of VAT on agricultural sector in all supply chains will give a positive impact if all VAT revenue distributed to the poor

In addition, there are less study of LSS towards Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The aim of this paper is to review published literature on Lean Six Sigma (LSS) critical success factors (CSFs) and Balanced Scorecard (BSC) perspective in manufacturing industries. The methodology included reviewing literature from well-known databases such as Science Direct, Scopus, Emerald and also Google Scholar. This paper content results of past literature on the CSFs of LSS and BSC’s performance measurement. The finding shows that five CSFs achieved highest frequency are; (i) training and education, (ii) top management involvement and commitment, (iii) organizational infrastructure, (iv) linking LSS to business strategy and (v) cultural change. Abstract

Abstract? The modern development of the agricultural business in the world is focused on a system of flexible network management, innovations, information, and intellectual property. Large companies are of great significance in this process; agricultural holdings are very important in Russian agricultural business. Unfortunately, the Russian agribusiness sector is dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, namely, concurrent enterprises, farms, small businesses in rural areas. They produce and market agricultural products. Therefore, supply chain management in agricultural business requires digitalization and the use of flexible management methods. The purpose of the research is to study agile supply chain management methods in agricultural business. We have considered such flexible methods as a digital platform and a blockchain technology, which contribute to the partnership between small and medium-sized agrifood enterprises by creating a digital network platform for all parties interested in the agricultural product. These methods are more productive compared to the traditional approaches; they provide more efficient interaction between manufacturers, consumers and intermediaries in the flow of goods and services through the supply chain. Unfortunately, agile supply chain management in the agricultural business of Russia has not been widely introduced yet, which makes it difficult to collect analytical information. We believe that this may be explained by the predominance of small and medium-sized enterprises in the country, the lack of digital platforms that act as intermediaries in the supply chain to connect crop producers and consumers.

Abstract

Abstract? As follows from the analysis, the producers of functional food production do not increase their production and its supply in the domestic market intensively enough and have a quite low export capacity. During production of functional foods, producers do not pay sufficient attention to patenting of the developed intellectual property objects. It was revealed that Russia, that shows a considerable potential of agricultural land and positive experience of agricultural sector development, needs to ensure the development of domestic supply chain management in businesses and industries to provide promising new-generation functional foods competitive in the internal and external markets. Competitiveness of such products can be improved by development of supply chain management ? specialized functional foods. This paper explores ways of improving supply chain management within the food processing industry looking into characteristics on justification and development of advanced functional food, its formulations and production technologies. This work presents a supply chai nstrategy in terms of food industry subsectors and producers, food effects obtained from functional foods, and in terms of consumers of functional food products depending on product purpose.

Abstract

Abstract— The manuscript considers the main international legal and national legal measures to attract investment and supply chain strategy in the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the example of one of the priority sectors of the economy - transport and logistics and also suggests ways to solve them. The authors identified several problems in this area: a combination of private and general social interests, attracting private investment in the translogistical industry, ensuring a balance of national and foreign investments, guaranteeing the rights of investors, and legal regulation of investment policies. The authors substantiate that for more systematic measures to attract investment and apply the supply chain strategy in the country's economy, it would be advisable to develop a state investment policy for the long term, considering measures to attract private direct investment in priority sectors of Kazakhstan's economy, but not attractive for private investors, as well as providing for measures for international cooperation in this area. The tendency of supply chain development programs to be captured by small-business lobbies, and the willingness of international donors to tolerate, even promote this, has adverse consequences for emerging economies.

Abstract

Owing to the incorporation of sustainability in most organizational activities and processes, their integration into maintenance activities has become a necessity in manufacturing companies. By supporting the implementation of sustainable manufacturing practices, sustainable maintenance will help in improving the sustainability performance of manufacturing companies. The purpose of this study is to review the previous studies related to sustainable maintenance (SMa) in the manufacturing sector in developed and developing countries. Performing content analysis with various past studies conducted in developed and developing countries with several research settings, this study classified SMa into four dimensions that are technical dimension, economic dimension, environmental dimension, and social and safety dimension.  Most of the studies in SMa were conducted using qualitative research design especially case studies while the quantitative studies were still lacking. Besides, the studies more focus on large manufacturing companies compared to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), especially in Malaysia. Therefore, this study presented a research direction on studying the effect of SMa on the sustainability performance of manufacturing SMEs in Malaysia.
