Abstract

This study focuses on enhancement of student?s learning motivation. This is a quasi experimental research with non equivalent control group design. Sample were taken by purposive sampling technique so that selected 22 experimental group students and 22 control group students from VIIIth grade of junior high school in Bandung, The experimental group was given contextual mathematics learning, while the control group was given regular learning. Questionnaire of motivation were used as research instrument. The results show that enhancement of student?s learning motivation with contextual mathematics learning better than students who received regular learning.

Abstract

This research is to find out and analyze the mathematical creative thinking ability of class XI students in MA N 1 Semarang on matrix material in terms of self-efficacy. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The instrument used was a test instrument on the matrix material with a total of 4 description items and a non-test instrument in the form of a self-efficacy questionnaire with 20 statements. The research sample was 33 students of class XI in MA N 1 Semarang City. The results of this study are that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and students creative thinking abilities on the Matrix material. Judging from the percentage of achievement based on the level of self-efficacy, if self-efficacy is high then the ability to think creatively is also high. Achievement of the percentage of indicators of creative thinking ability according to the level of self-efficacy in a row from high, medium, low, namely fluency, flexibility, elaboration, elaboration. Overall, the achievement of the ability to think creatively gets a percentage of 66.56%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi pada bidang pendidikan terkait perbandingan Analisis Kesalahan Newman (NEA) antara siswa yang menghafal dan tidak menghafal Al-Qur?an dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika dalam bentuk soal cerita, dan membantu pendidik untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika dalam bentuk soal cerita. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data adalah 4 siswa dari 20 siswa kelas XI IPS MA AlIkhlashiyah Sisik Timur, 2 siswa yang menghafal Al-Qur?an dan 2 siswa yang tidak menghafal Al-Qur?an. Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menujukkan adanya perbedaan Analisis Kesalahan Newman (Newman Error Analysis-NEA) antara siswa yang menghafal dan tidak menghafal al-qur?an dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal cerita pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV) rata-rata siswa kesulitan menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika dalam bentuk soal cerita yaitu pada keterampilan proses (Processing Skills). Abstract: The purpose of this study is to comparison Newman Error Analysis (NEA) between students are memorize and not memorize Al-Quran in solving system of linear equations in two variables, and assisting teachers to determine where misunderstandings occurred and where to target effective teaching strategies to overcome them. This is the qualitative research, and the subject of research consists of 4 students from 20 students in grade 10th of MA Al-Ikhlashiyah Sisik Timur, with respectively two students are memorize Al-Quran, and two students are not memorize Al-Quran. Data was collected by tests and interviews. The result of this research is there are differences Newman?s Error Analysis (NEA) Between Students Are Memorize and Not Memorize Al-Quran in Solving Math Word Problems of System of Linear Equations In Two Variables most errors occur in processing skill.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dilaksanakan Penelitan Tindakan Kelas dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Penerapan Metode Bervariasi dalam meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Matematika Pada  Siswa  Kelas  I SDN Ponik Tahun 2016/2017. Metode pengumpulan data: observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes.  Diperoleh pada siklus pertama Yang mencapai nilai 6 keatas sejumlah 7 siswa yakni 25 %. Pada siklus dua yang mencapai nilai 7 ke atas sejumlah 17 atau 60,71 %. Dan pada siklus tiga yang mencapai nilai 7 ke atas sejumlah 23 siswa atau 82,12 %. Berdasarkan data analisis dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Prestasi Belajar Mata Pelajaran Matematika Siswa SDN Ponik Kelas 1 semester II dapat ditingkatkan melalui metode Bervariasi. Abstract: Classroom Action Research was carried out with the aim of describing the Application of Varied Methods in improving Mathematics Learning Achievement in Class I Students of Ponik Elementary School in 2016/2017. Data collection methods: observation, documentation, and tests. Obtained in the first cycle which reaches a value of 6 and above a number of 7 students, namely 25%. In the second cycle that reaches a value of 7 and above a number of 17 or 60.71%. And in the third cycle that reaches a value of 7 and above a number of 23 students or 82.12%. Based on data analysis and discussion it can be concluded that the Learning Achievement of Mathematics Subjects at Ponik Elementary School Class 1 semester II can be improved through Varying methods.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas produk ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Prosedur dalam pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yaitu: Define (pendefinisian), Design (perencanaan), Develop (pengembangan), dan Disseminate (penyebaran). Namun dalam penelitian ini hanya meliputi Define (pendefinisian), Design (perencanaan), Develop (pengembangan). Produk yang dikembangkan berupa modul pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel untuk siswa kelas VIII dengan memuat langkah-langkah dalam Discovery Learning. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar penilaian modul oleh ahli untuk mengukur kevalidan modul, angket respon siswa untuk mengukur kepraktisan modul, serta tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur keefektifan penggunaan modul. Abstract: This research is a development research aimed at describing product quality in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The procedure in this development uses a 4-D development model, namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. But in this study only includes Define (definition), Design (planning), Develop (development). The product developed in the form of a module in the material system of two-variable linear equations for class VIII students by taking the steps in Discovery Learning. The instruments used in this study are module assessment sheets by experts to measure module validity, student response questionnaires to measure module practicality, and learning outcomes tests to measure the effectiveness of module use.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan respon siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri ditinjau dari Taksonomi SOLO. Taksonomi SOLO terdapat 5 tahapan, yaitu prastruktural, unistruktural, multistruktural, relasional, dan abstrak diperluas. Subjek dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik Purposive Sampling dan diperoleh 3 siswa kelas VIII A di SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh sebesar 66% siswa berada pada tahap relasional, dan 33% lainnya mampu mencapai tahap abstrak diperluas. Abstract: This qualitative descriptive study aims to determine the ability of students' responses in solving geometry problems in terms of SOLO Taxonomy. There are 5 stages of SOLO Taxonomy, namely structural, unstructural, multistructural, relational, and expanded abstract. Subjects in this study were taken by purposive sampling technique and obtained 3 students of class VIII A at Salatiga Pangudi Luhur Middle School. Data collection techniques were carried out using test and interview methods. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study obtained by 66% of students are in the relational stage, and 33% are able to reach the expanded abstract stage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best method in the forecasting system by creating a mathematical model of time series data in the form of Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI) in 2010-2017. The methods tested are Moving Average (SMA, WMA and EMA), Exponential Smoothing Method (SES and DES), Naive Method, and Artificial Neural Network (Back Propagation). Then to see the level of accuracy based on MAD, MSE, and MAPE of each method. Determination of the best method in the forecasting system is very helpful in the process of forecasting data in the field which has implications for the government's decision system in making policies or decisions especially in the population, education, and people's economies. The best simulation method for predictions is the Exponential Smooting Holt Method with the predicted results of 2018 of 71.42 with the smallest MAD, MSE, and MAPE of 0.037; 0.001; and 0.053.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the aspects of mistakes made by semester 1 students of Bumigora University, Mataram, Departement of Computer Science in solving questions related to the material Absolute Inequality. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. Based on the results of diagnostic tests conducted on 121 students, it is found that there are still many students who make mistakes in solving problems including students' concept errors on the material inequality absolute value of 47.1%, principle errors of 60.3%, and operating errors of 81, 5% Constraints experienced by students so that errors occur in working on problems related to inequality absolute values, namely: (a) Students are still unable to understand the intended purpose of the problem, (b) Students are not capable of simple mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, fraction worth and others; (c) When sitting in school, students are only given simple examples in solving problems.

Abstract

This study applies Van Hiele's learning theory to quadrilateral to improve activities and student learning achievements carried out in three cycles. Student learning achievement data obtained through learning evaluation, student learning activity data obtained through observation sheets of student learning activities and teacher activity data obtained through teacher activity observation sheets. The results of the first cycle of research included scores of student learning activities on average at 7.33 which were categorized as less active and the results of student evaluations with an average value of 73.3 with learning completeness of 77%. While the results of the second cycle of research include scores of student learning activities on average by 10.67 which are in the active category and the results of student evaluations with an average value of 63.8 with learning completeness of 60.4%. Then the results of the third cycle of research include scores of student learning activities on average by 13.33 which are in the active category and the results of student evaluations with an average value of 76.9 with learning completeness of 79.2%. Based on the results of the research and the achievement of work indicators, it can be concluded that the application of Van Hiele's learning theory to quadrilateral material can increase the activity and learning achievement of VII grade students of SMP.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP berdasarkan tahapan polya ditinjau dari adversity quotient. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga siswa kelas VIIIB di SMP Kristen Satya Wacana tahun ajaran 2018/2019, yaitu satu siswa climber (AQ tinggi), camper (AQ sedang), dan quitter (AQ rendah). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan siswa climber dalam memahami masalah, mampu menyebutkan seluruh informasi dan menjelaskan kembali masalah menggunakan bahasanya sendiri, kemudian merencanakan langkah pemecahan masalah, membuat alternatif rencana penyelesaian, menuliskan langkah penyelesaian secara runtut dan jelas, dan melakukan pemeriksaan kembali. kemampuan siswa camper dalam memahami masalah adalah tidak menyebutkan seluruh informasi dan menjelaskan kembali masalah menggunakan bahasanya sendiri, kemudian merencanakan langkah pemecahan masalah, tidak menuliskan langkah penyelesaian secara rinci, dan tidak melakukan pemeriksaan kembali. Kemampuan siswa quitter dalam memahami masalah adalah tidak menuliskan informasi secara lengkap dan menjelaskan kembali masalah menggunakan bahasanya sendiri, kemudian mengalami kesulitan dalam merencanakan langkah penyelesaian dan kesulitan menuliskan langkah penyelesaian, serta tidak melakukan pemeriksaan kembali. Abstract: This study aimed to describe the skill of junior high school student?s mathematical problem solving based on the type of AQ. This study is a qualitative-descriptive study. Subjects in this study are students of class VIIIB in SMP Kristen Satya Wacana academic year of 2018/2019, that is climber, camper, and quitter. The data in this study were obtained through three methods, that was questionnaires, test and interview. The results showed that the skill of climber student in understanding problems were mentioning all the information in the problem completely and reiterated the given problem using his own language, and making a plan first to solve the problems, making an alternative solution, writing down the steps to resolve in a coherent and clear answer, and re-examining the solution. Skill of camper student in understanding  problems were not mentioning all the information in the problems and reiterated the given problem by using his own language, and planning first the troubleshooting steps, writing less detailed steps to resolve, and not checking back the solution. Skill of quitter student in understanding problems were not writing down the information in complete and  reiterated the given problem by using his own language, and having a difficulty in planning steps to solve the problems, having a difficulty in writing the completion of the steps, and not re-examining the solution.
