Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce students' smoking behavior. This study uses a true experimental design using the pretest-posttest control group design method. The sample taken in this study was 10 people consisting of 5 people in the experimental group with cognitive restructuring techniques and 5 people in the control group without intervention. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The data collection method was carried out using a questionnaire on smoking behavior in students. The data analysis method used Non-Parametric Statistical Tests. The results of this study indicate that group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques can reduce students' smoking behavior. This is evidenced by the results of the Mann Whitney Parametric Statistical test with an Asymp.Sig value. (2-Tailed) of 0.044 <0.05 where the hypothesis is stated to be accepted. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, there is a difference in the average scores of the two groups. The experimental group had a percentage decrease of 31.82% while the control group was 20.23%. The conclusion in this study is that group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques is more effective in improving cognitive restructuring than conventional group counseling.

Abstract

Self-esteem is one of the basic human needs in carrying out life, which can provide a feeling of success and usefulness even though the individual has weaknesses and even experiences a failure in life. This study aims for an improvement, changes related to the problem of self-esteem (self esteem) have increased with the profit and loss technique in information services. This profit and loss technique is very effective in helping students to think critically by considering the plus-minus or profit and loss aspects of knowing and not knowing self-esteem, and helping to justify their views and problems regarding self-esteem. This type of research is PTL (Service Action Research), which specifically relates directly to counseling guidance. This study consists of 3 cycles, consisting of Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, and Reflection, using quantitative and qualitative research methods. Based on the results obtained from each cycle implementation, cycle (I) increased students' self esteem by 39.5%, then in the implementation of cycle (2) increased students' self esteem increased by 45.8%, then in the implementation of cycle (3) increased students' self esteem increased by 81%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the results of the cycle are categorized as good in the third cycle, which is the third cycle. It is hoped that this research can be obtained as a reference to the development of the knowledge of other parties to be used as further research in seeking development and study of problems that are overall more detailed in helping students and society.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is currently rampant, making it an important reason for teachers and guidance counselors to address this problem in students. The purpose of this study was to identify cyberbullying behavior and preventive efforts in students. The results of the study showed that cyberbullying in the school environment occurs in various forms, including verbal insults, spreading rumors or personal information, as well as online threats, teasing, and derogatory sarcasm. Prevention efforts currently implemented in several schools, such as awareness programs and anti-cyberbullying policies. Prevention includes the development of more intensive education programs on cyberbullying, involving students, teachers, and parents. The impacts experienced by students who experience bullying include: withdrawing from the environment, lack of self-confidence and even choosing not to come to school.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) in schools plays a crucial role in helping students overcome problems, develop their potential, and achieve a balanced and meaningful life. Integrating Islamic values in BK practices provides a holistic approach relevant to Islamic teachings, such as understanding the Qur'an and Hadith, Islamic-based professional ethics, holistic approaches, counseling based on Islamic morals, and using examples from the lives of the Prophet and his companions. These values include Muamalah, Akhlakul Karimah, and Amaliah, which play roles in shaping students' character. The implementation of Islamic values in BK results in wise, friendly, perfectionist, humble, and religious behavior. Counselors are required to possess competencies including pedagogic, personality, social, and professional competencies that reflect the knowledge, skills, and behaviors established in BK services

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the significance of the relationship between empathy and social support of peers with pro-social behavior in Class XI at SMK Negeri 3 Salatiga. The type of research used is a correlational study to find the close relationship between the Empathy variable (X1) and pro-social behavior and the close relationship of the Peer Social Support variable (X2) with pro-social behavior (Y). Then investigate the relationship between the variables Empathy (X1) and Social Peer Support (X2) with pro-social behavior. The population of the study included the entire class XI of SMK Negeri 3 Salatiga, a total of 462 students. Sample determination in this study used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique to determine the number of samples in each class. To determine the sample, the researcher used an error rate of 5%, so the sample the researcher took was 198 students per department of Class XI. The researcher's data collection technique used a scale with 28 items declaring empathy, 33 items declaring peer social support, and 35 items declaring social behavior, with 5 response alternatives. . The data obtained were then analyzed using Kendall's tau_b technique using the statistical program IBM Statistic SPSS version 25.0. The results of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between empathy and pro-social behavior, as evidenced by obtaining a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an r value = 0.531. In addition, the results of research on social support from peers with pro-social behavior showed a significant relationship of 0.000 < 0.05 and r value = 0.505. Meanwhile, the research results on empathy and social support of peers with pro-social behavior showed a significant relationship with the result r = 0.661.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the importance of reflecting on and deeply understanding traumatic events in building resilience. Using qualitative methods, this study involved seven respondents aged 18-25 years who experienced traumatic events, with data collection methods in the form of structured interviews and observations. The results showed that resilience plays an important role in helping respondents to recover after experiencing traumatic events, with several factors such as social support, emotional intelligence, gratitude, optimism, self-acceptance, and learning from experience. Some respondents showed positive changes and attitudinal changes that encouraged them to rise and thrive. Social support, especially from family and being able to manage emotions and take lessons from traumatic experiences are key in building resilience. This study can contribute to understanding the processes and factors that support a person in overcoming crisis and trauma and developing psychological resilience.

Abstract

Education to carry out guidance and counseling in schools is an element related to services in schools. The coordinator or implementer is the supervising teacher and the person who gives advice. Consultation is a method of support provided to parties consulted during meetings so that the consultation process has the ability to see and find problem points and solutions to problems. In the process of advising or supporting counselees, counselees systematically express their problems, have the ability to accept themselves according to their potential, and help solve problems with their potential. In implementing counseling guidance services, many students do not clearly understand the duties, functions and role of counseling guidance. Elements that are proven to be in accordance with existing practices in the field of guidance and counseling can be used as a forum for advising and motivating problems in order to find solutions that suit one's abilities. An interview or debrief is a tool for gathering information by revealing several problems and receiving a good response.Keywords: Problems, Implementation, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Value education implemented in the form of student character education is an effort to instill noble values. Student involvement in organizational activities such as student activities units (UKM) aims to shape the character of achievement. This study aims to reveal the driving force for students to join UKM. In turn, activities in UKM make education valuable for the formation of student character based on the value of achievement. As the research method, a qualitative research approach was chosen through the case study method at UKM FKIP Mengajar Lambung Mangkurat University. The result of the study illustrates that students are encouraged to participate in activities because of the need for achievement, power or leadership, and social relationships or interactions with other people and groups. This drive makes the student’s character stronger and can become their provision as agents of change.

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to produce a pocket book product to improve career planning that meets the eligibility criteria for pocket books in terms of material and design aspects, and can effectively help students improve career planning. While the specific purpose of this study is to collect empirical data to test the feasibility and effectiveness of pocketbooks. Pocket book products are said to be feasible if the contents are in accordance with the conceptual framework and are attractive in terms of design. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the pocket book is seen from the product's ability to bring about the expected positive changes, namely increasing students' career planning. This research procedure uses the Borg and Gall research procedure which consists of ten stages. However, this study limits it to six stages of the procedure, namely initial research and data collection, planning and development, initial product development, field test (expert validation), revision I, and small group test. At the expert validation stage, material experts and media experts were involved. The data results related to the effectiveness of the product using one group experiment, namely one group pre-test post-test and statistically analyzed using the paired sample t-test formula. The test results show that the pocket book product developed is effective to use which can be proven by a significant increase in the level of realistic career planning to the subject after the application of the career pocket book.

Abstract

This research is motivated by problems related to compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (K3) at PT X Makassar. Many employees lack awareness of occupational safety and health, excessive stress levels and workloads, and an imbalance in productivity and safety culture. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between organizational culture and safety awareness and compliance with occupational safety and health (K3). This research method is quantitative with a sampling technique using saturated samples, the subjects are 250 company employees. The variables in this study are organizational culture, safety awareness and compliance with occupational safety and health. Data collection in this study used a Likert scale model psychology compilation scale created by the researcher. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between organizational culture and safety awareness and compliance with occupational safety and health. Data analysis in this study used the Pearson product moment correlation statistical test with the help of SPSS 26.0 for Windows. The results of the study obtained that the value of rx1y = 0.125, p = 0.045 <0.05 and the value of rx2y = 0.532, p = 0.000 <0.05. The higher the organizational culture and self-awareness owned by employees, the higher the compliance with K3 and vice versa.
