Abstract

This study analyzes the development of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) implementation in bullying interventions within educational settings through a bibliometric study. Data were collected from 2020–2024 publications on Google Scholar using keywords related to SFBT, bullying, and academic achievement. The results show a significant surge in publications in 2024 (37.37%), driven by post-pandemic recovery and student strength-based education policies. The dominance of the Education field (39.02%) and Psychology/Mental Health (34.15%) highlights the school’s role in SFBT interventions and a holistic approach to victim trauma. However, the low contribution from the Technology/Communication field (4.88%) indicates a lack of integration between SFBT and digital platforms to address cyberbullying. Other gaps include a greater focus on victims rather than perpetrators, as well as the limited number of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary studies. This analysis recommends the development of technology-based SFBT modules, multisectoral collaboration, and culturally adaptive research to enhance intervention effectiveness. The findings reinforce the urgency of solution-focused approaches in anti-bullying policies that are responsive to the complexities of the digital age.

Abstract

Group counseling based on Adlerian theory emphasizes social connectedness, a sense of belonging, and the courage to face imperfection as essential foundations for personal growth and positive interpersonal development. This article aims to comprehensively analyze the counselor’s role in facilitating group counseling through the application of Adlerian principles. The study employs a literature review method by examining relevant books, national and international journal articles, and previous empirical studies that discuss the implementation of Adlerian theory in group counseling. The results of the review reveal that counselors play a multidimensional role as facilitators, motivators, and guides who help group members identify their lifestyle patterns, develop social interest, and build courage to accept imperfection. The counselor’s ability to create an egalitarian and supportive environment enables members to learn through positive group interactions and mutual understanding. Furthermore, the effectiveness of Adlerian group counseling depends greatly on the counselor’s skills in managing group dynamics and their cultural sensitivity, particularly in collectivist contexts such as Indonesia. Overall, the findings emphasize that the success of Adlerian group counseling is determined not only by theoretical understanding but also by the counselor’s interpersonal competence, reflective ability, and cultural awareness in practice. Therefore, integrating Adlerian principles into group counseling contributes significantly to personal development, social responsibility, and group cohesion among participants.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing frequency of smartphone use, which causes the emergence of nomophobia in students, especially high school students, who tend to experience anxiety when away from and unable to interact with their smartphones. This research is a quantitative study with a one-group pre-test post-test design. Eight students were selected as subjects using a random sampling technique. The research instrument used a nomophobia scale that has been tested for its validity and reliability. Data were analyzed descriptively through calculating the average score, calculating N-Gain, and testing the hypothesis using a paired sample t-test. The results showed a decrease in nomophobia scores, from a pre-test average of 114.75 to a post-test average of 68.5. The N-Gain value obtained was 0.50%, which is considered low. The paired sample t-test also produced a T-value of 35.051, which is greater than T-table 2.364, which indicates that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This indicates that group counseling using a cognitive behavioral approach has a significant effect in reducing nomophobia in students. It is hoped that the results of this research can be utilized by further researchers, especially in related scientific fields.

Abstract

Social withdrawal among students has become a significant concern due to its impact on academic achievement, emotional well-being, and peer interactions. This study aims to examine the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to support students exhibiting tendencies toward social withdrawal. Employing a literature review approach, the study analyzes national and international research published over the last decade to evaluate the effectiveness of CBT in reducing social anxiety, boosting self-esteem, and enhancing social engagement among adolescents. Data were gathered from scholarly journals and academic books and subsequently analyzed using content analysis to identify themes related to the implementation of CBT in school settings. The findings indicate that CBT—through cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure techniques, and social skills training—helps students replace negative automatic thoughts with more adaptive mindsets. These cognitive and behavioral improvements strengthen emotional regulation, self-confidence, and social interactions. The study concludes that CBT is an effective and practical intervention for addressing social withdrawal in educational settings, and that integrating CBT into school counseling programs can support students' psychological resilience. Future research is recommended to explore culturally responsive and digital-based CBT models to expand accessibility and effectiveness.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the crucial role of honorary staff in supporting the implementation of education in madrasahs. However, they continue to face various challenges, including inadequate welfare, limited opportunities for professional development, and the widespread perception that the madrasah committee merely functions as a fundraising body. This study aimed to analyze the involvement of the madrasah committee in improving the performance of honorary staff, describe its role as an advisory body, and identify the forms of support provided to honorary staff at MAN 2 Barito Kuala. This research employed a qualitative field research approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, the chairperson of the madrasah committee, and honorary staff. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the madrasah committee is actively involved through participation in school activities, communication and coordination with the school management, and supervision of programs related to honorary staff. The committee also serves as an advisory body by providing recommendations on work assignments, discipline, and job responsibilities. Furthermore, it provides financial support in the form of additional honoraria and operational assistance, as well as non-financial support through motivation and moral encouragement. Such involvement has contributed positively to improving the discipline, responsibility, and work motivation of honorary staff, thereby supporting the enhancement of educational quality in the madrasah.
