Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of TANDUR learning assisted mathlet Geogebra on students’ mathematical conceptual understanding reviewed of students' visual abilities. The type of this research is a quasi-experimental with treatment by level designs on the topic of the Pythagorean theorems. The population of this research were 393 students spread in 10 classes in grade 8th of SMP N 12 Denpasar. The sample was determined using cluster random sampling technique. There were two data of this research, namely students’s mathematical conceptual understanding and students’ visual ability which were collected by essay and multiple choices test respectively. The data obtained were analyzed using t-test with significance level of 5%. The results showed that the students’ mathematical conseptual understanding who follows TANDUR learning assisted mathlet Geogebra was better than the students who follow the TANDUR learning only. The same results were also obtained for students with higher or lower visual abilities. However, students who have higher levels of visual abilities were easier to understand abstract mathematical concepts. Thus the TANDUR learning assisted mathlet Geogebra affect positively the students’s mathematical conceptual understanding in terms of students' visual abilities. Abstract

This research was an experimental research using True Experimental Design with pretest and posttest. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the use of gamification in mathematics learning. The gamification referred to in this study are Kahoot! and Quizizz. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Kahu. The samples in this study were 27 students of class VIIIB. The data analysis technique was performed using paired sample t-test. However, before that, a normality test was carried out on the research data. The results of the normality test show that the Asymp Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.200 greater than 0.05, which means that the data is normally distributed. While the results of the paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.000 where this value is less than 0.05. So, based on the rules of decision making, it is found that there are differences in learning outcomes before and after gamification. In other words, giving gamification is effective in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya wabah Covid-19 di dunia yang menyebabkan krisis kesehatan global. Masalah ini membuat kebijakan untuk mengubah pembelajaran offline menjadi online. Berdasarkan situasi tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk mendeskripsikan minat belajar siswa SMP di Lingkungan III Kelurahan Padang Masiang Kecamatan Barus. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP di Lingkungan III Kelurahan Padang Masiang. Kuisioner dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil angket menunjukkan minat belajar siswa adalah 50% berminat cukup, 40% berminat kurang, dan 10% berminat. Lebih lanjut, hasil wawancara dengan orang tua menunjukkan minat belajar siswa kurang berminat dan wawancara dengan guru menunjukkan minat belajar cukup diminati.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the learning style of students an the relationship of students learning style to the results of students' mathematics learning in the V neighborhood, losung village during the covid-19 pandemic. There are three types of learning styles that will be discussed in this study, namely auditorial visual and kinesthetic. The method used is qualitative method. Closed questionnaire, unstructured interviews, and documentation are used in data collection. Miles and Huberman tecniques are used in data collection, include 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, and 3) data verification. The result showed that junior high school students in environment V in mathematics learning dominantly have a visual learning style with a total of 5 people (50%) with an average rating of 77.6. Auditorial learning style with a total of people (20%) with an average score of 70, while kinesthetic learning style with a total of peopl (30%) with an averag rating of 56.6. During the covid-19 pandemic students with visual learning styles learn better than students with auditorial and kinesthetic learning styles.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe students’ readiness in learning online at seventh grade students in Simpang Tiga Laebingke, Sirandorung sub-district. The approach of the research used qualitative descriptive. Triangulation was used in checking data validity by using questionnaire (Guttman scale), observation, and interview (for students and Mathematics teacher) in collecting the data. The result of the research shows 1) based on questionnaire shows the average of students’ readiness in learning online is 65.33 (poor category), 2) based on interview shows the students have poor category students’ readiness in learning online , and 3) based on observation shows the students have poor category students’ readiness in learning online.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran persepsi orang tua siswa kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 2 Manduamas tentang pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kecamatan Manduamas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh orang tua siswa di kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 2 Manduamas yang berjumlah 30 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik angket. Teknik analisis data adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui nilai mean sebesar 3.16 dan nilai median sebesar 3.38, nilai modus adalah sebesar 3.28. Gambaran persepsi orangtua siswa kelas VIII-C pada aspek perhatian diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3.13 yakni berada pada katagori sangat baik. Gambaran persepsi orangtua siswa kelas VIII-C pada aspek tanggapan (respon) diperoleh nilai rata-rata 3.20 yakni berada pada katagori sangat baik. Gambaran persepsi orangtua siswa kelas VIII-C pada aspek Penilaian diperoleh nilai rata-rata 3.14 berada pada katagori sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analysis students' mathematical reasoning ability during Covid -19 pandemic in terms of student interest in learning. Subject of the research is eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The approach of the research used qualitative. Instrument of the research used test, close questionnaire, and interview. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and taking conclusion.The result of the research showsstudents' mathematical reasoning ability during Covid -19 pandemicis low category, 20% is high category, 20% is enough category, and 60% is low ability. The result of questionnaire concludes 60% students have low mathematical reasoning ability and low learning interest because don’t like mathematical subject, 20% students have average mathematical reasoning ability and average learning interest becausethey will like mathematical subject if mathematical teacher teach the subject in fun away, and 20% students have high mathematical reasoning ability and high learning interest because they like mathematical subjectand always challenged with math problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the difficulties of mathematic teachers in learning online in Covid – 19 periodin AngkolaJulu. The approach of the research used qualitative descriptive with 3 mathematic teachers. Questionnaire and interview were used in collecting the data and triangulation was used in checking the data validity. Analysis of the data includes data reduction, data presentation, and taking conclusion. The result of the research shows the difficulties of mathematics teachers in using various media, conducting ask and answer, overcome the students problem in mastering subject, in giving comprehension subject, applying the goal of learning, difficulties in operating the computer, awaken students’ motivation, difficulties to know students’ mastering of subject, difficulties in accessing internet, and difficulties in arranging the time.

Abstract

The background of the study because at this time the world is troubled by the Covid -19 pandemic which has caused several countries to go into a massive lock down. Indonesia conducted PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) in several regions and conducted learning at home. The effect of learning at home is low learning motivation in pandemic Covid-19 period. The purpose of this study is to describe factors causing low motivation in pandemic Covid-19 period of students at MTs Negeri 1 Tapanuli Tengah. The approach of the research used qualitative descriptive and subject of the research is seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 Tapanuli Tengah which includes 24 students. Questionnaire and interview were used in collecting the data. The result of the research shows factors causing low learning motivation in pandemic Covid – 19 period of students at MTs Negeri 1 Tapanuli Tengah includes students’ dream or aspiration, students’ ability, students’ condition, students’ environment condition, and dynamic elements in teaching students.

Abstract

Self –efficacy matematis merupakan keyakinan seseorang dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika dan berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan berpikir yang konstruktif dalam mencari solusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya kemampuan berpikir kritis serta self efficacy matematis pada pembelajaran daring matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kajian pustaka yang dilakukan dengan cara mengkaji informasi dari buku, artikel atau penelitian sebelumnya yang relevan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pembelajaran di masa pandemi yang menuntut siwa untuk belajar dirumah masing-masing, sehingga menyebabkan tantangan baru dan menurunya beberapa aspek. Aspek tersebut dapat dilihat dari self efficacy matematis dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kesimpulannya, siswa yang memiliki self efficacy matematis mampu menciptakan motivasi dan kemandirian belajarnya sendiri. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan aspek afektif dan psikologi siswa. Lalu, siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis akan mudah menganalisis masalah, meracang solusi, mengevaluasi serta menyimpulkan hasilnya sehingga dapat menigkatkan kemampuaan kognitif. Penelitian ini penting guna memaksimalkan siswa dalam belajar matematika secara daring.
