Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) has created a digital literacy gap among ornamental plant farmers, particularly in utilizing technology to increase income by expanding access to market knowledge and information. This study aims to identify the typology of ornamental plant farmers based on their behavior in using social media for e-commerce. The findings of this study are intended to provide recommendations on which stages of the social learning process need to be improved to address the digital literacy gap among ornamental plant farmers. This research employs a survey method using questionnaires and qualitative data to support and explain the findings. Data collection was conducted using a simple random sampling method, resulting in a sample of 210 ornamental plant farmers in Bogor Regency. The data were analyzed using an index score, where the scores from direct social media pathways and socially mediated of social media use for e-commerce were converted into a scale of 0 to 100. The scoring categories were: < 50 (low), > 50–75 (moderate), and > 75 (high). The results indicate that the typology of farmers based on direct social media usage and socially mediated pathway into the third type, where their behavior in using social media for e-commerce is high, but their use of direct social media pathways and social media system pathways is low. These farmers are in the learning stage of reproducing results from observations and suggests that farmers have a relatively good ability to utilize social media for e-commerce activities.

Teacher's digital technology use has become an enormous challenge in the school digital transformation program process. This study aims to analyze the emerging role of innovative leadership in influencing digital technology use and to test the relationship between innovative leadership, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and digital technology use among teachers at the Sekolah Penggerak program in Indonesia. This study explores a modified technology acceptance model as the theoretical framework. Three hundred ninety-seven teachers participated in this research through a simple random sampling method. The study results show the significant role of innovative leadership in influencing teachers' digital technology use when mediated by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use with a p-value of 0,000. Innovative leadership continuously has a significant direct effect on perceived usefulness, with a value of 0,000. It also shows positive effects on perceived ease of use with a value of 0,000. Moreover, data analysis shows that innovative leadership is perceived as sufficiently high, with a scale of 4,22 out of 5 points. Furthermore, being skilful at team building is perceived as a powerful indicator, contributing 4,25 out of 5 points. Not only team building, being visionary, skilful at relationship building, and confident at risk-taking is also statistically proven to be sufficient, with score results of 4,22, 4,21, and 4,21 for each indicator. Teachers' digital technology use also reached 3.82 out of a 5-point scale, which shows high results on the digital technology use variable index.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to identify the quality control of Arabica’s production process, to determine the factors causing mismatches in the production process, and to formulate the strategies in improving Arabica A/WP 1 L’s product quality at PT. XYZ. The quality control uses Statistical Quality Control method with a variety of attributes. The study revealed that the quality control was in controlled conditions since the p-chart shown that the number of actual data samples were in the statistical control range with the value of 0.3206 for UCL and 0.1714 for LCL. Type of mismatch that had significant influence occurred in grain patterned coffee with a value of 869. Besides, the highest percentage of mismatches were patterned grain by 29.4%, perforated grain by 27.3%, and the outer skin with the small size by 26.6%, with the cumulative percentage was 83.3%. The factors affecting the mismatches were human, machine, method, raw material, and the environment. Thus, the proposed improvement strategies for the company are technical training, intensive sanitation scheduling, the Standard Operation Procedures formulation especially for the separation station (vis pulper and huller). Tempering HS dried coffee implementation, selective sorting of the coffee float on siphon tub, and adding 4 pieces LED lamp with power 40 watt as well as fan as the air conditioner.
