Abstract

Futsal is characterized as a high-intensity sport. Thus, aerobic and anaerobic capacities are essential factors for supporting athletes' performance when competing. Data related to adolescent futsal players in Indonesia still lacked. Therefore, this research objective was to determine how much aerobic and anaerobic abilities became the predictors of futsal athletes’ performance levels. The research method was observational research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 15 Regional Training Center (PELATDA) athletes and 15 non-PELATDA athletes from West Java with an average of (age= 18.23 ± 1.13 years old, height= 170.23 ± 3.82 cm, body weight 59.57 ± 5.28 kg, BMI 20.56 ± 1.82 kg/m-2, and FAT 10.05 ± 1.29%). The results showed that body mass, body composition, VO2max, peak power, vertical jump, and fatigue index of PELATDA athletes were better than non-PELATDA athletes. Thus, this research could provide an overview for coaches regarding the aerobic and anaerobic capacities standards of adolescent futsal players and could be used as a reference in making an exercise program to improve athletes’ aerobic and anaerobic capacities.

Abstract

Personal Trainer (PT) has a significant role in educating the community, including Nutrition Knowledge (NK). However, not all PT has a good NK. This research was conducted to determine how many PT with good NK are material for stakeholder evaluation to raise the level of Nutrition Knowledge in the broader community. Research is undertaken with survey methods, a type of quantitative descriptive. The study subjects were obtained by purposive sampling technique, obtaining 187 samples. To get NK, used Body Composition, Metabolism, and Dietary Requirements Questionnaire, there are 21 questions adapted from previous research. Furthermore, the data is obtained from the results of questionnaires that have been filled out independently by the subject through a google form. The results of research data are processed statistically using SPPS version 25. The subjects consisted of 187 participants with an average age of 27 years. The results showed that the study subjects' NK was in poor condition based on statistical test results. The level of NK that has not been optimal in the PT environment is a significant concern for improving competence and support to maximize NK to improve the Indonesian people's degree of health. The results of this study can be a suggestion and evaluation for policy stakeholders because there need to be improvements from policies that encourage the emergence of NK increases in the PT.

Abstract

Active recovery is recommended to help the soccer player recover quickly. However, there has been no study comparing the most effective active recovery methods post-match. The purpose of this study was to compare active recovery (jogging and cycling) to the heart rate and fatigue level of athletes. This study uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest crossover design approach. Subjects were 22 male amateur football athletes with an average (age, 19.40 ± 1.18 years; height, 170.04 ± 3.54 cm; weight, 62.89 ± 5.44 kg). The results showed that the average heart rate (HR), vertical jump (VJ), and lactate levels between groups after the simulation match did not show significant differences (HR p= 0.748, VJ p=0.984, lactate p=0.633). However, for variables HR and lactate levels experienced a significant decrease after undergoing recovery treatment, and when viewed from the delta the jogging group experienced a decrease (HR 24.7%, and lactate 52.5%), for the bicycle group (HR 29.3%, and lactate 60.9%) and the sitting group (HR 19.91%, and lactate 23.4%). So the results of this study provide evidence that post-match cycling can contribute to a more effective active recovery strategy. Thus the results of this study can be used as a reference for coaches and athletes in a good recovery process after a football match.
