Abstract

Research aim: This research aims to analyze the influence of dynamic capabilities on the adoption of technology-based digital business applications in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Method: The study collected primary data through field studies in North Kalimantan, involving 73 SMEs using digital platforms, and analyzed it using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Finding: Sensing, learning, and integrating capabilities positively impact the use of digital business tools, while coordinating capability doesn't seem to have a significant effect. Sensing involves watching market changes, leading to more digital marketing and customer reach. Learning drives gathering and using information for product improvement, increasing digital tool usage. Integrating fosters teamwork, aiding in digital tool adoption for better coordination. However, coordinating capability doesn't heavily affect digital tool usage, possibly due to SMEs' smaller scale. Theoretical contribution/Originality: This study supports the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory, emphasizing that dynamic capabilities help firms adjust resources to changing business landscapes, highlighting the significance of sensing, learning, and integrating capabilities for SMEs to effectively adopt technology-based digital business applications. Practitioner/Policy implication: SMEs intending to embrace digital business strategies should focus on enhancing dynamic capabilities, especially in sensing, learning, and integrating, to minimize conflicts and failures in technology adoption and ensure adaptability in dynamic business settings. Research limitation: The study encountered sample size limitations because of SMEs' hesitance to participate, potentially worsened by post-pandemic recovery activities.

Abstract

Abstract The weekend effect study is one of the studies relating to market anomalies. Research on market anomalies is important because it can be a guide for investors to transact. Concerning transactions, the TV-return pair is an appropriate indicator compared to the return itself. We use various combinations of TV-Return to find the weekend effect. The results show that mostly there is no weekend effect. Thus the efficient market hypothesis applies. This result can be a reference for investment, where Friday or Monday is no different. Investors can't beat the market

Abstract

Research aim: The purpose of this study is to find efforts to reduce the turnover intention of an employee by examining the factors that become antecedents of the turnover intention of an employee, namely work stress and job burnout. Design/Methode/Approach: Quantitative approach with survey method, using regression analysis (path analysis) and quantitative data (from questionnaires). Finding: This study reveals that work stress and job burnout positively influence turnover intention, with job burnout mediating the relationship between work stress and turnover intention, while life stressors, feeling ineffective in dealing with others at work, and actively seeking a new job are identified as the most influential factors. Theoretical contribution/Originality: The theoretical contribution of this research lies in its special emphasis on the influence of perceived outcomes of stress and the importance of harmonious relationships between coworkers in reducing the impact. Practitioner/Policy implication: Concerning the turnover intention of their employee to decrease the turnover of employees by reducing stress levels and reducing job burnout in employees. Research limitation: This study only used samples from branch offices in Java Island, as well as its examination of only three variables (Work Stress, Job Burnout, and Turnover Intention). We recommend further research to use a wider sample.

Abstract

Research aim: The research aimed to explore the influence of leadership and discipline on teacher performance, with motivation serving as an intervening variable. Methode: Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, path analysis using Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) software version 3.0 was utilized Finding: The findings indicate that motivation and effective leadership also positively impact teacher performance. However, the direct influence of discipline on teacher motivation and performance appears less significant, highlighting the intricate nature of motivational factors in educational settings. Theoretical contribution/Originality: The study offers insights into the nuanced dynamics of these factors and their implications for educational practices, thereby enriching theoretical frameworks in the field. Practitioner/Policy implication: These findings have practical implications for school administrators and policymakers regarding the importance of fostering a supportive and motivating work environment for teachers through effective leadership practices. Additionally, it emphasizes the need for holistic management strategies and addressing factors beyond disciplinary action to improve overall teacher performance.
