Jurnal ini diberi nama LITERASI, nama tersebut dipilih sebagai upaya untuk tetap menjadikan keterampilan berbahasa sebagai landasan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Seperti sebuah pernyataan “bahasa sebagai penghela ilmu pengetahuan”. Jurnal LITERASI diterbitkan oleh Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra Indonesia dan Daerah dua kali dalam setahun. Terbitan pertama pada tahun berjalan adalah bulan Januari dan terbitan kedua adalah bulan Juli. Setiap kali terbit, jurnal ini memuat delapan artikel yang mengkaji dan membahasa masalah pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. Jurnal ini memuat artikel hasil penelitian, gagasan konseptual, baik yang ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa asing. Selain secara online jurnal ini juga terbit secara cetak (ISSN 2086-4795). Diharapkan Jurnal ini mampu menjadi media informasi yang kredibel dan berdayaguna.

Abstract

Literature works often reflect the daily lives of people, including the dynamics of local politics. Literature, especially poetry, serves as a medium for writers to express aspirations and concern representing public unrest toward ongoing political conditions. The anthology geguritan Dugale Asu Maring Menungsa is one such literature work that successfully reveals the portrayal of local political landscape represented in the guritan works of Atmo Tan Sidik. This research is qualitative descriptive in nature, using Roland Barthes semiotic approach which consists of three types of coding: denotation, connotation, and myth. The study employs note-taking techniques to collect and map data. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The findings show that local political practices in Tegal, Central Java have experienced a distortion of values. The poetry shows that elections have lost their spirit of struggle and have turned into a spectacle of entertainment and material transaction.

Abstract

This study entitled "Visual and Narrative Elements as a Depiction of Discrimination against Asperger's: A Semiotic Study in the Film 'Aku Jati, Aku Asperger'" aims to examine and identify discrimination experienced by Asperger's people through a semiotic theory approach. The results of the study indicate that the film effectively conveys five depictions of discrimination experienced by the main character, Jati, which are caused by environmental factors, societal views, and the role of parents. Through the analysis of signs, objects, and interpretations, this study found that visual and narrative elements function as tools to increase awareness and empathy for the issues faced by Asperger's people. In addition, this study provides benefits in increasing public understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities, as well as encouraging constructive dialogue about social inclusion. This film can also be a source of reference for educators and parents in educating children about diversity. It is hoped that the results of this study can trigger positive changes in public attitudes towards people with disabilities and encourage the creation of a more inclusive environment, so that people with Asperger's can be accepted and appreciated in society. With increased awareness and education, we can work together to build a more equitable world for all individuals.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Salah satu inovasi yang mulai diterapkan adalah pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana integrasi teknologi digital dapat mendukung proses kreatif siswa dalam menulis naskah drama, serta untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penerapannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di salah satu sekolah menengah atas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen hasil karya siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan perangkat digital, seperti aplikasi pengolah kata, perangkat lunak penyusunan alur cerita, serta platform daring untuk kolaborasi, mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, teknologi digital memberikan kemudahan dalam proses penyuntingan dan revisi naskah, serta memungkinkan adanya umpan balik secara langsung dari guru maupun teman sebaya. Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi, seperti kurangnya literasi digital di kalangan siswa dan keterbatasan akses terhadap perangkat teknologi di beberapa lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama memberikan peluang yang besar untuk mendukung proses kreatif siswa, tetapi memerlukan strategi pendukung yang tepat untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peluang penerapan Penelitian Berbasis Seni (ABR) dalam kajian cerita rakyat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis bibliometrik dan analisis visual mapping menggunakan VOSviewer. Sumber data diambil dari basis data Scopus tahun 2019-2023. Total artikel yang ditemukan sebanyak 590. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan Penelitian Berbasis Seni secara umum masih mengalami pasang surut. Pada tahun 2019 hingga 2020, penelitian berbasis seni meningkat dari 95 menjadi 117 dokumen; pada tahun 2020 hingga 2021 menurun dari 117 menjadi 111; pada tahun 2021 hingga 2022 meningkat dari 111 menjadi 142; dan pada tahun 2022 hingga 2023 kembali menurun dari 142 menjadi 125. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tren Penelitian Berbasis Seni dari tahun ke tahun tidak stabil. Namun, jika dilihat secara keseluruhan dalam 5 tahun terakhir, jumlahnya cukup banyak. Artinya, penelitian ini bukanlah hal baru, tetapi masih sangat sedikit kaitannya dengan penerapannya pada kajian sastra dan bahkan belum ditemukan dalam penelitian cerita rakyat. Inilah yang menjadi temuan dan kebaruan penelitian ini. Dengan demikian, Penelitian Berbasis Seni masih sangat terbuka dalam kajian sastra maupun kajian cerita rakyat.

Abstract

In learning activities at school, especially in the Indonesian language subject, writing scientific articles is one of the skills that must be mastered by students. The use of learning media that stimulates students' interests and motivation can be used as a solution to improve creative thinking in writing articles. One of the various technological applications present in the world of education that can be used as a learning medium is Canva. This study uses quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. At the end of the data analysis results, the researcher wanted to know the effect of the treatment that the researcher used on the experimental group. Therefore, the researcher used the N-Gain test with the help of SPSS version 20 to see if there was a difference between the experimental group using the Canva application and the control group that only used the group discussion model. The results showed that in the experimental group, the average N-Gain was 58.55, meaning> 40 with a high category, while in the control group, the average N-Gain was 11.17, meaning <40 with a low category. These results indicate that the ability to write articles using the Canva application stimulates students' creative thinking more than the group discussion model.

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the learning of anecdotal text, especially in identifying the structure of anecdotal text is still low. This is because the ability to identify the structure of anecdote text in students is not optimal and there are still some who have difficulty in identifying the structure of anecdote text. As well as the use of less innovative and creative methods that can facilitate the improvement of critical thinking skills in students. One of the learning methods that can be used is the Game Based Learning method assisted by Gimkit. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of students in learning to identify the structure of anecdote text and to determine the critical thinking skills of students. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The author has compiled the results of this study after conducting research in class X SMK Pasundan 1 Cianjur, including class X MPLB 2 as the experimental class and class X MPLB 1 as the control class. The average result of the experimental class pretest was 71 which then increased in the average posttest result to 91.5. While the average result of the control class pretest was 70 which increased in the average posttest result of 80. Judging from the average value data that the author has found, it can be concluded that the Game Based Learning method assisted by Gimkit can improve the ability of students in learning to identify the structure of anecdotal text and improve students' critical thinking skills. This can also be proven from the results of the statistical calculation of the Wilcoxon test getting the results of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) experimental class is 0.000 which means less than 0.005. So it can be concluded that the Game Based Learning method assisted by Gimkit can improve the ability to identify the structure of anecdote text and the thinking ability of students. Abstract

This research aims to examine the local folklore "Budak Pahatu" using an ethnolinguistic approach as reading material for 9th-grade students (Phase D) at SMP Yayasan Atikan Sunda Bandung. The background of this research is based on the low reading interest of students towards folklore and the lack of integration of local culture in Indonesian language learning. The ethnolinguistic approach was chosen because it can reveal the relationship between language and culture reflected in the folklore text. The method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques on the "Budak Pahatu" text. The analysis focuses on semantic aspects, including vocabulary, lexical and cultural meanings, and Sundanese etiquette values contained in the story. The results show that the "Budak Pahatu" story is rich in local cultural elements that can strengthen students' understanding of language and character. This story also contains educational values such as hard work, patience, and respect for parents, which are relevant to be included in teaching materials. Thus, the results of this study can be adapted into reading materials that not only improve literacy skills but also introduce local wisdom to students in a contextual manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze language errors in writing news on the Indramayu Update Instagram account for the period March to April 2025. Social media, especially Instagram, is one of the platforms used to disseminate information quickly and widely. However, sometimes language errors in writing can affect the understanding and credibility of the news. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis by identifying the types of language errors contained in the news text posted on the Instagram account. The language errors analyzed include spelling errors, punctuation, sentence structure, and incorrect use of words. Data were obtained by collecting news posts uploaded within a predetermined time period, then identifying and analyzing the language errors that appeared. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of the quality of news writing on social media and the importance of good language understanding and skills in conveying information

Abstract

Abstract Teachers and students are consistently associated within the discourse of education. An ideal classroom environment is one in which power between teachers and students is balanced, allowing learning to occur without rigidity or anxiety, thereby achieving instructional objectives. Ideally, teacher manuals—as guides for classroom instruction—should reflect this balanced teacher-student power relationship. However, in practice, communication within instructional contexts still reveals the dominance of teachers, which tends to limit students' agency in the classroom. This study aims to uncover and describe the teacher-student power relations as represented in Indonesian language teaching manuals for teachers. Three teacher manuals for grades X, XI, and XII were analyzed descriptively using a qualitative approach and discourse analysis, particularly Ruth Wodak’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The findings indicate that teacher-student power relations are unequal. Teachers are portrayed as holding stronger authority than students. In the texts, the term teacher frequently occupies the subject position and is depicted as the assigner of tasks or commands, with the authority to judge or validate knowledge. Meanwhile, the term student commonly appears as the object acted upon by the teacher-subject verbs. The teacher’s position and authority are illustrated as superior to those of students, evident in the use of the label teacher in task constructions, whereas students are referred to using the pronouns -mu and kamu (“your” and “you”). The implications of these findings for reading literacy instruction are discussed in this paper. Abstract

Covid-19 is a contagious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is a type of coronavirus. The effects of this virus on the body include fever, dry cough, and difficulty breathing, which can lead to death. News about the COVID virus reappeared in May 2025 after several years of being dormant and declared over. This research aims to understand and describe the text structure in COVID news coverage on the online mass media Instagram @kompascom and @sindonews. Qualitative descriptive is a type of research utilizing the critical discourse analysis theory model by Teun A van Dijk, the first scheme being text (macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure) and discourse analysis approach. The data for this research consists of text excerpts from the Instagram accounts @kompascom and @narasinewsroom. The sources of the research data are the two Instagram accounts @kompascom and @narasinewsroom. The data collection technique involves listening and noting, and to verify the data's validity, data triangulation is required. Furthermore, to analyze the data, the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis technique is needed. The results of this study found the presence of a macro structure (theme about the increase of the COVID-19 virus), superstructure (introduction, content, and conclusion), and micro structure including semantics (meaning and presupposition), syntax (coherence and sentence structure), stylistics (lexicon), and rhetoric (graphic) in COVID-19 news on two Instagram social media accounts, @kompascom and @narasinewsroom.
