Jurnal ini diberi nama LITERASI, nama tersebut dipilih sebagai upaya untuk tetap menjadikan keterampilan berbahasa sebagai landasan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Seperti sebuah pernyataan “bahasa sebagai penghela ilmu pengetahuan”. Jurnal LITERASI diterbitkan oleh Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra Indonesia dan Daerah dua kali dalam setahun. Terbitan pertama pada tahun berjalan adalah bulan Januari dan terbitan kedua adalah bulan Juli. Setiap kali terbit, jurnal ini memuat delapan artikel yang mengkaji dan membahasa masalah pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. Jurnal ini memuat artikel hasil penelitian, gagasan konseptual, baik yang ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa asing. Selain secara online jurnal ini juga terbit secara cetak (ISSN 2086-4795). Diharapkan Jurnal ini mampu menjadi media informasi yang kredibel dan berdayaguna.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the kinship relationship between Sundanese and the new Javanese language by using comparative historical linguistic studies. This research is conducting using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods and lexicostatistical techniques. Lexicostatistics is a language grouping method that is carried out by calculating the percentage of kinship to determine the level of kinship between the languages ​​being compared. The source of the research data came from 200 Swadesh vocabulary lists which is collecting using the listening method with the conversational engagement technique and continued with the recording technique and note-taking technique. The results show that the Sundanese language and the new Javanese language have a kinship relationship. The results of lexicostatistical calculations yield a percentage of 36% which is included in the family language level. The kinship relationship between Sundanese and the new Javanese language is also marked by the presence of (1) identical word pairs such as [bapa], [kəmbaη], [laηit]. (2) Corresponding word pairs produce 7 rules, namely, /h~ø/ such as [hatɛ] and [ati] , /b~w/ such as [bulan] and [wulan], /a~ɔ/ such as [tuma] and [ tumɔ], /u~U/ like [suruƞ] and [surUƞ], /r~d~l/ like [hidőƞ] and [irəƞ], /j~d/ like [jalan] and [dalan], /i~ I/ like [gariƞ] and [garIƞ]. (3) Word pairs that have phonetic similarities, such as [bɛntaη] and [lintaη], [kɔnɛη] and [kuniη]. (4) Word pairs that differ in one phoneme, such as [suku] and [sikil], [jukut] and [sukət].

Abstract

Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia merupakan salah satu mata kuliah yang wajib ditempuh mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Mata kuliah ini menjadi sumber pengembangan nilai-nilai kebangsaan dan cinta tanah air, serta pengembangan kompetensi berbahasa Indonesia, baik lisan maupun tulis. Penelitian ini berangkat dari tuntutan standar lulusan dan capaian pembelajaran yang menetapkan mahasiswa harus mampu menyusun karya akademik dengan baik. Untuk itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan perkuliahan yang berpusat pada mahasiswa dengan menerapkan penilaian teman sejawat berbasis portofolio. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan sampel seluruh mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pasundan yang mengikuti perkuliahan Bahasa Indonesia pada tahun akademik 2021/2022 sebanyak 50 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes berbasis portofolio. Portofolio yang diberikan secara terprogram, untuk melatih mahasiswa berpikir kritis, analitis, deduktif, induktif, dan reflektif dalam mewujudkan karya akademik berupa teks ulasan, teks proposal kegiatan, teks laporan kegiatan, dan teks artikel ilmiah. Melalui portofolio yang diprogramkan, diharapkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis karya akademik meningkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pasundan memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam menulis karya akademik berupa teks ulasan buku, teks proposal kegiatan, teks laporan kegiatan, dan teks artikel. Dengan demikian, penilaian teman sejawat berbasis portofolio dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis akademik dengan baik.

Abstract

Project-based learning guides students through systematic and standardized work procedures to make or complete a product through the actual production process. This study aims to improve the quality of learning outcomes to write complex procedure texts by applying a project-based learning model. This type of research is classroom action research and consists of two cycles. The research process includes planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Jabung Timur, totaling 17 students. The results showed that students achieved 68% learning outcomes in cycle I and 88% learning outcomes in cycle II. This study concludes that the use of project-based models improves the quality of learning outcomes in writing complex procedural texts at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjungjabung Timur

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the similarities and differences in the values ​​of character education in the novels Orang-Orang Ordinary by Andrea Hirata and Guru Aini Ordinary. The type of research used in this study is qualitative by using descriptive methods. The results of the study address character education in the novel ordinary people and the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata including religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independent democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, respect for achievement, friendship, peace-loving, fond of reading, social care, responsibility. While the similarities of the two novels are seen from the aspects or values ​​found as well as the description of the aspects found. Aspects of the values ​​of character education include: religious values, honesty, discipline, hard work, independence, love of the motherland, love of peace, social care and responsibility. As for the differences in the value of character education, namely several aspects or values ​​of character education in the Ordinary People novel, only 9 aspects are found, while in the Guru Aini novel, 16 aspects are found.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the value of character education and public perceptions of the Kerinci folklore. This research is in the form of qualitative research and uses a descriptive approach. The study used was a sociology of literature study, the data source used was a folklore book entitled Sakunung-Sakunung Ninau originating from Koto Tuo, the indigenous people of Pulau Tengah as well as articles from the internet, journals and other supporting books. Based on the research results, there are values ​​of character education in the folklore of Kerinci Sakunung-Sakunung Ninau. In general, the five aspects of character education values ​​proclaimed by the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely Religious, Nationalist, Independent, Mutual Cooperation and Integrity are contained in the story of the Sakunung-Sakunung Folk. Sakunung Ninau, according to the community's perception, the three respondents said that Sakunung Ninau is a bedtime story filled with advice. It can be concluded that the folklore of Kerinci Sakunung-Sakunung Ninau has character education values, as well as the public's perception that Sakunung Ninau contains advice.

Abstract

The structural approach is an initial approach in a literary research. The purpose of this research is to describe the structural elements and describe the relationship between any elements in the drama script Roh by Wisran Hadi. The source of this research is the drama script Roh by Wisran Hadi written in June 1998 in Pagaruyung, West Sumatra. The script of this play has four acts with 29 pages. The drama script Roh is one of the best scripts by Wisran Hadi and won the 2nd place award in the 2003 DKJ competition. The drama script Roh by Wisran Hadi was published in the Sobrat drama script collection. Published by PT. Grasindo Jakarta 2003. The results of this study are in accordance with the initial objectives, the process of obtaining data is carried out through various stages, starting from the stage of recording data, classifying data and analyzing data. This research was conducted to prove that within the intrinsic elements of Wisran Hadi's dramae Roh, there is a concrete and significant relationship so that a literary work can be enjoyed in every verse of the written word

Abstract

This study aims to analyzeethe social values ​econtained in the drama script "Cermin" and its relevance as an alternative to the selection of literary appreciation materials in high school. The reason the researcher did this research is because the drama script "Cermin" by Nano Riantiarno has deep life values, especially social values. Drama scripts, besides being able to be staged, can also be used as teaching materials. The social values ​​contained in drama scripts can be used as alternative teaching materials for literary appreciation in high school. This research methodeis descriptive qualitative. The dataein this study were collected by using a literature study, namely the drama script "Cermin" by Nano Riantiano which was published in 1977. The data in this study is a description of words based on in-depth analysis. The results showed that there were six social values ​​contained in the drama script, namely the value of responsibility, the value of compassion, the value of caring for the fate of others, the value of giving advice, the valueeof cooperation, and the value of harmony. The social values ​​in the drama script "Cermin" by Nano Riantiarno can be used as alternativeeteaching materials in high school based on Basic Competenciese3.8 and 4.8 as well as Learning Outcomes of receptive abilities in the elements of storing and reading and watching class XI.

Abstract

The aim of the current study was to delineate the efficacy of teaching narrative texts by using Timorese folklore as teaching material. The subjects in this study were seventh-grade students of SMPN Noemuti. The data procurement technique comprised observation, questionnaire, and test. Observation was carried out to find out the activities of students, a questionnaire was conducted to figure out the students' responses regarding the integration of Timorese folklore in learning, and a test was undertaken to find out the students’ learning outcomes. The result of the study revealed that in learning narrative texts using Timorese folklore, students’ activity reached 82% in the very good category, student learning outcomes achieved an average score of 81,5 which categorized as very good, teacher and student responses reached 97,2% which was categorized as very good. Thus, it was concluded that Timorese folklore was very effectively applied in teaching narrative texts to seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri Noemuti.

Abstract

The learning process cannot be seperated from learning tools, namely tools that assist learning that contain lesson plans and describe in detail the skills students will acquire. The research aims to provide appropriate and effective learning tools for project-based short story writing and higher order thinking. The work employes the development research, which refers to the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were Indonesian language teachers and students of SMPN Satu Atap 4 Tungkal Ulu. The results showed that the development of learning materials for project-based short story writing and higher-level thinking was declared valid, practical with an average score of 84.58%. The use of project-based short story writing learning tools and higher-order thinking is declared effective for improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In Indonesian literature, gender issues are frequently the subject of stories and their main focus, such as the societal structures that give rise to a patriarchal culture. Gender discrimination is the product of this patriarchal culture. This study intends to 1) describe gender discrimination against women in Ria Jumriati's novel 5 Kelopak Mawar Berbisa, 2) describe gender discrimination against women in Dewi Linggasari's novel Kapak, and 3) compare gender discrimination against women in the novels 5 Kelopak Mawar Berbisa and Kapak. Descriptive methodology along with content analysis was employed in this study. Feminist literary criticism is used as the analytical instrument in this research, which takes a mimetic approach in keeping with sociology of literature theory. The reading and note-taking method was utilized in this study to obtain data. The data analysis technique was completed in three parts, including (1) classifying and coding the gender discrimination data found in the two novels using a data classification format, (2) interpreting the gender discrimination data found in the two novels, and (3) drawing and formulating conclusions based on the data examined. The findings of this study imply that there are several forms of discrimination against women on the basis of their gender, including aggression, stereotypes, subordination, and double the workload, additionally, there is a similarity between the elements of injustice in the two novels that will give rise to various sorts of gender discrimination.
