Abstract

Technology comes to facilitate all matters and needs. Still, on the one hand, this technological revolution does not always and forever provide positive opportunities, but can also pose a threat to several aspects, not least in learning Arabic. Therefore, the purpose of writing this type of library research article is to provide an overview of the challenges faced by Arabic, strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities that can be realized through learning Arabic in this era of unlimited technological revolution, especially in universities that will produce human resources to compete and meet the challenges and demands of technological development and globalization in the Arabic language field. The results of writing this article are, learning Arabic in Indonesia in the era of the infinite technological revolution has many challenges and demands to experience innovation in its components, such as the direction and objectives of learning, curriculum, materials, methodologies used, media, forms and how to evaluate, as well as educators. Based on this technological revolution, the Arabic language can also realize great opportunities both for employment Arabic graduates and for the existence of Arabic itself. Although on the other hand, due to irresponsible elements, the development of technology towards the world of Arabic learning raises several threats and weaknesses that must be constantly addressed.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze Arabic vocabulary mastery level of students and the process of implementing learning with the Mimicry Memorization method. This research method was quantitative research with an experimental approach. The study was conducted at Muhammadiyah Junior High School Pekalongan. Samples of this research were 25 students of class VII. Data collection methods were observation and tests. The observation method was used to get data on the process of implementing Arabic learning. The test method was aimed to students to get data on vocabulary mastery levels. Data analysis techniques used statistical tests with t test. The results showed that the Arabic learning process using the Mimicry Memorization (Mim-Mem) Method was able to overcome student learning difficulties, especially in the aspects of vocabulary mastery. The learning process became very enjoyable, students were actively involved in the learning process and students were very enthusiastic. Fun learning made students understand the lesson easily. The results of statistical analysis showed that the Mimicry Memorization (Mim-Mem) Method had a significant influence on vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

The problematics of PPM Al-Jumhuriyah students' language activities are Arabic students of PPM Al-Jumhuriyah are still low, and intracurricular muhadharah activities can support and improve the quality of Arabic students are still lacking. From this, the researcher considers that applying Muhadharah activities plays an essential role in improving the quality of students' Arabic speaking skills. This research was descriptive. It was analyze using qualitative methods. To collect the data, the researcher used interviews, questionnaires, and study documentation. The result is that the management of the process of implementing Muhadharah activities does not yet support the improvement of the quality of students' Arabic speaking skills. Based on the research results on applying Muhadharah activities in improving Arabic speaking skills, it shows several deficiencies and obstacles experienced by students. So the researcher's suggestion for the language mobilizer as a core part of linguistic activities is to vary the method of implementing Muhadharah activities that bring students to ease and encourage students to be more active in speaking languages and advising matters relating to language that runs in the boarding and guarding them.

Abstract

Facing the era of globalization and technological developments lately, the world is faced with a fast flow of information. Therefore, the importanceof information technology and the internet in various fields of life, including the worldof education. This study aims to describe the implementation of imla online learning. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research is the student the students of Hasanka boarding school Palangka Raya. This research technique uses observation and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of imla online learning could improve students’ ability to write Arabic. Judging from the learning that has been applied with the progress of each meeting, where students can write correctly or not make mistakes. Judging from the results of the research that there has been an increase in students, let online-based learning continue to be carried out, because with the online learning of imla ‘this makes people who want to learn very easy to obtain, then it will also have a positive impact on smartphone users who is on the rise at this time.

Abstract

This research analyses the translation shift of the hadis text in two versions of the translation of the tazkiyatun nufūs wa tarbiyatuhā works by Ibnu Rajab, Ibnu Qayyim and Imam Al-Ghazali, which Imtihan Asy-Syafi’i has translated as the first target text and which Umar Mujtahid has translated as the second target text. The translation shift in this study is divided into two. namely, shift in form and meaning. This translation shift occurred on the words. The purpose of this study is to describe the translation shift used by the translator in translating the tazkiyatun nufūs wa tarbiyatuhā book. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. The source of the data in the form of book tazkiyatun nufūs wa tarbiyatuhā and two versions of its translation. The data analysis was done gradually. First, collecting the data and classify them according to the category. Second, presentsing the whole data the the translation shift in a coherent and includinge the answer for every formulation of the problem. Third, drawing conclusions based on the result of the study. The research showed that from 47 data, there are 2 types of shift in forms. Namely 35 data shift at the level of syntax, 6 data shift in word category. As for the shift in meaning, there are 2 types, namely 3 data shift of the meaning of the generic to the spesific and 3 data shift according to the cultural point of view.

Abstract

This research aimed that Socrates method in learning dialogue can increase class effectiveness. This research is a mix method (qualitative and quantitative) by using the classroom action research method with Kurt Lewin’s Model. It has four steps that the researcher must follow, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each role. Through this, data is collected on the following methods: observation, interview, and documentation. The lack of participation and exchange of opinions between the students, each other, during the lesson, and their weakness in presenting ideas and their critical stances on the subject. This indicates that the classroom interaction was not effective as represented in the preliminary research. The classroom interaction according to the observation was 46%, and according to him, the researcher conducted the current research. Socrates’ method is of its importance to provoke students' participation in the learning and teaching process, as this method revolves around dialogue with the method of questioning from the same teacher. One of the most important results was that the class interaction rises little by little in view of the first and second rounds. The result of class interaction in the first round got 58% and in the second round 65% with an increase of 8%. Through this, it can be said that the use of the Socrates method in learning dialogue can increase class effectiveness.

Abstract

One of the Islamic boarding schools that teaches Arabic with divine and active competence is Madina Islamic Boarding School, which is located in Karya Tani Labuhan Meringgai, East Lampung. Many aspects certainly support the success of the institution that implements and develops Arabic language learning This reserch used a psycholinguistic perspective, especially language acquisition. This is because in fact the graduates of the Medina Islamic Boarding School have active Arabic language competence. It is very interesting to conduct a study to find out about the language acquisition of the students at the Islamic boarding school. This study describes; 1) Arabic language learning process, 2) Arabic language acquisition process, 3) acquisition theory relevance in a psycholinguistic perspective with the Arabic language learning process, and 4) strengths and weaknesses of the Arabic acquisition process at the Madinah Islamic Boarding School. This research is a qualitative field research. For data collection using the observation method, interview method, and documentation method. From this study, it is hoped that it will become one of the references in developing Arabic learning. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the acquisition of foreign languages, especially Arabic, for the students of the modern Islamic boarding school Madinah, was carried out through formal and naturalistic presentations. For the factors that affect the Arabic language acquisition process, there are obstacles to the motivation of students which also affect the Arabic language environment which is less conducive. As for the age factor, the presentation of learning and the first language of the students have been conditioned and in accordance with the ideal foreign language acquisition process in a psycholinguistic perspective. The age of children to adolescents is the ideal age to carry out the process of acquiring foreign languages, presenting complete learning in a formal and naturalistic manner, as well as conditioning the first language by speaking Arabic in the first year of students studying at Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

New students at Ma’had Umar Bin Al-Khattab for girls Sidoarjo have various educational backgrounds. So that the ability to speak Arabic is also different. To solve these problems, a preparation class was formed to equalize their language skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the matriculation programs to improve the arabic language skills of new students. This study uses quantitative research methods using T-Test formula. T-Test formula is used to determine the comparison of student scores before and after taking matriculation programs. The results of this study indicate that the matriculation programs has an effect on improving the lamguage skills of each student. This difference is influenced by differences in the educational background of these students. In the matriculation program students are taught basic arabic lamguage skills such as maharah istima’, maharah kalam, maharah qiro’ah, and maharah kitabah. The existence of this matriculation programs is useful for equalizing language skills and preparing student’s language skills in order to take the lectures that will be taken.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the integration of divine values in maharah qira'ah material in the IAIN Metro Arabic Language Education study program. This type of research is a qualitative-descriptive study, using data collection tools, observation, interviews and documentation. Researchers found that there was an integration of divine values in the maharah qira'ah material which was very helpful in building noble character and morals for students. The reading texts in this material contain some praiseworthy morals, such as faith, honesty, and trust. With the selection of the reading text theme, students not only master the maharah qira'ah but also know the divine values that exist in the qira'ah text, live it up, and implement it into social life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the contextual teaching learning (CTL) method through zoom in improving Arabic speaking skills during Covid-19. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental approach using a series of research the one-group pretest-posttest design. The object of this research was the 3rd-semester students of Islamic Education at the State Islamic Institute Kerinci. The research technique was carried out using tests and observations. The results showed that the significance value of 0.000 <probability 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Also, there is a significant difference in the mean learning outcomes between the pretest and posttest with the mean paired differences of -18,500. These results indicate the average learning outcomes between pretest and posttest 59.56 - 78.06 = -18,500 and the difference between these differences is between -20,618 to -16,382. From these results, it was explained that the contextual teaching learning (CTL) method through zoom was effective in improving the Arabic speaking skills of 3rd-semester students of Islamic Education at the State Islamic Institute Kerinci.
