Abstract

This research focuses on integrating the Computational Thinking (CT) concept of automation system in vocational education to address the high costs and scarcity of educational resources in practical learning. The rapid industrial expansion of automation, particularly in Modular Production Systems (MPS), necessitates that students grasp both the components' functionalities and operational principles. Another point that needs to be considered is the integrated CT concept in the learning process. The CT for 21st-century skills, this research aims to facilitate knowledge absorption through systematic problem-solving strategies. To reduce cost and scarcity, this research developed an Interactive Virtual Reality Testing Station (IVRTS) employing a CT methodology to replicate MPS functions effectively in a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) Laboratory setting. Developing an Interactive Virtual Reality Testing Station (IVRTS) with a CT approach to simulate the working process is expected to overcome this problem in the Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) Laboratory. The research procedure adopted from Lee Owens' ADDIE development procedure aims to create a CT-based IVRTS as an innovative educational tool. Experimental validation will compare the efficacy of CT-enhanced IVRTS against traditional methods among 36 students from higher schools. Based on the results of research on the IVRTS indicates its significant potential, receiving mainly "Good/Worth It" feedback. Despite the overall positive reception, users reported issues regarding its complex nature and the necessity for ongoing technical support. Refinements to make the system more intuitive and autonomous by streamlining the interface and clarifying functions are essential for broader user adoption.

Abstract

Local wisdom is a characteristic or specialty of a region that must be preserved. However, currently, the rapid development of technology has various impacts on life, especially the neglect of various games and cultures from a region. This study will develop local wisdom-based teaching materials in Physical Education and Sports subjects in Elementary Schools  Implementing local wisdom-based learning in basic learning is an effort that can be used as a basis for building awareness of local culture. The method used is research and development (R&D) with a 4D design (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The results of the Expert assessment show that Local Wisdom-based Teaching Materials are categorized as very good and feasible to be applied to learning. The results of the trial of local wisdom-based teaching module products show that the achievement of high learning motivation reaches 82.69% in every aspect of student learning motivation indicators. These results indicate that local wisdom-based teaching materials in PE subjects are feasible to use and further research can develop these teaching materials at the secondary education level

Abstract

The challenges faced by young people today in shaping their morality from adolescence can be identified through Physical Education (PE) learning. PE plays a significant role in shaping the morals and character of adolescent students. It goes beyond focusing solely on knowledge and psychomotor skills, incorporating essential moral aspects. By promoting discipline, fostering collaboration, and instilling a sense of responsibility, PE helps in molding well-rounded individuals. The objective of this study was to identify the moral values of adolescent students through PE learning. A descriptive research method with a quantitative approach was employed. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire. The sample consisted of 64 junior high school students selected through random sampling techniques. This research utilized three indicators to describe the moral values of adolescent students: discipline, collaboration, and responsibility. The classification for determining good morals was based on standard categories of excellent, good, fair, poor, and very poor. The results showed that the moral values of adolescent students were as follows: 20% of students were classified as excellent, 78% as good, and 2% as fair, with no students falling into the poor or very poor categories. These findings indicate that PE learning significantly contributes to the moral development of adolescent students. Consequently, it can be concluded that PE learning is integral to shaping the morals of adolescent students, playing a crucial role in their overall development and character building. The positive impact observed underscores the importance of incorporating moral education within the PE curriculum to nurture disciplined, collaborative, and responsible individuals.

Abstract

Figurative language as one of the materials in Indonesian language learning, is very important to learn. However, there are still many students who have difficulty understanding the material. Difficulty understanding the material will result in difficulty understanding the meaning of words. This study aims to develop digital comic media on figurative language material for grade V elementary school students. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE development model. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis techniques used were the normality test, t-test, and N-Gain test. The results of the assessment of the feasibility of digital comics from material experts obtained a score of 89.87%. While the assessment of media experts obtained a value of 88.05%. In addition, responses from users on small-scale product trials obtained a percentage of 98.33% from students and 100% from homeroom teacher. Meanwhile, during the large-scale product trial, a percentage of 98.18% was obtained from students and 100% from homeroom teacher. The effectiveness of digital comics on figurative language material is evidenced in the t-test, with the results in the small-scale product trial a value of ?  of 11.366 >  with a value of 2.571. While in the large-scale product trial obtained  amounting to 16.115 >  with a value of 2.080. In the N-Gain test, the small-scale product trial obtained an N-Gain of 0.77 and the large-scale product trial obtained an N-Gain of 0.74.

Abstract

Living museum is a concept that integrates direct experience with cultural and historical learning. This article explores the critical and ethnopedagogical dimensions in living museum practices with a focus on ethnographic perspectives in cultural education. Through a qualitative approach that includes participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, this study aims to understand how living museums can function as educational spaces that not only present history, but also encourage critical thinking and cultural reflection among visitors. This study identifies that living museums provide a platform for interactive dialogue between visitors and the cultural practices presented. In this context, living museums are not only places to display artifacts, but also arenas for knowledge exchange that involve community members in the educational process. This study highlights how an ethnopedagogical approach, involving guides as cultural stakeholders, can deepen visitors' understanding of cultural heritage and history. The findings of this study suggest that living museums can function as tools for critical thinking and cultural education, by encouraging visitors to reflect on the social and historical contexts of the artifacts they see. In addition, this study shows that living museums that successfully integrate ethnopedagogical approaches can create immersive and sustainable experiences for visitors, which go beyond mere historical education to embrace broader discussions about cultural identity and social values.
