Abstract

The issue of bullying has become a serious problem in the world of education. Whereas schools should be places of learning that are safe for students to improve their academic knowledge and social life. There are three central roles involved in bullying events, namely: perpetrator, victim, and eye witness or bystander. Active defending behavior is a type of bystander (witnesses) who takes the role of the victim to help when bullying occurs. The purpose of this study was to measure and determine the effect of active defending behavior on bystanders in preventing bullying among high school students. Explanative quantitative type approach with survey method will be used in this study. The results of this study show that the value of F = 0.730 and the value of Sig 0.849 > 0.05. Then, the results of the data analysis of the value of the coefficient of determination of the independent variable active defending is 0.64 so that it can be stated that active defending has an effect on preventing bullying in students by 6.4% while there are several other things that also affect prevention of bullying in students by 93.6% but not mentioned in the this research. It is hoped that this research can be used as a reference to reduce the problem of bullying in schools by intensifying preventive measures

Abstract

The business landscape is changing significantly and increasing the intensity of competition among companies around the world. Under these conditions, companies need to focus on improving the performance of their employees so that they have a better competitive advantage than their competitors. Various strategies that can be considered, for example, are through a work-life balance, take home pay, and workplace environment. This study aimed to analyze and determine the effect of work-life balance, take home pay, and workplace environment toward employee performance of Gen Z in Indonesia. The approach used was a quantitative approach, with data obtained from Gen Z who worked in private companies in Indonesia from March to July 2023. During the data collection period, a sample of 202 respondents was obtained through an online survey mechanism. The data collected was then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis involving control variables in the form of gender and marital status, so that five different analysis models were obtained. The results of the study showed that: a) work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; b) take home pay has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; c) workplace environment has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance; d) collectively, work-life balance, take home pay, and workplace environment have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and; e) take home pay was proven to be the dominant variable in influencing employee performance of Gen Z in Indonesia who are chosen as the research sample.

Abstract

The XYZ Balikpapan is one of the esteemed hotels in Balikpapan that is widely chosen by the community as a place for accommodation or events on certain occasions. Consequently, numerous room reservations are made, leading to full occupancy. Therefore, the XYZ Balikpapan Hotel requires a strategy for handling guest check-ins during peak occupancy. This research aims to explore the strategies employed by the XYZ Balikpapan Hotel in managing guest check-ins and the challenges encountered during peak occupancy. The research methodology employed in this study is descriptive qualitative research, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. In this research, there are stages of analysis, starting from data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions The findings of this study reveal several challenges faced by hotel guests during the check-in process at the XYZ Balikpapan Hotel. These challenges include guests waiting for rooms to be ready for occupancy due to frequent full occupancy, inadequate human resources for room cleaning, and sudden guest requests upon check-in. The XYZ Balikpapan Hotel addresses these challenges by implementing various strategies, including organizing exhibitions for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM), optimizing the kid's corner, fostering good cooperation between receptionists and housekeeping staff, providing welcome drinks and snacks, conducting courtesy calls, assigning room numbers in the system, preparing registration card forms, and providing room keys. Abstract

Kabupaten Deli Serdang merupakan salah satu daerah yang memberikan kontribusi yang cukup signifikan terhadap Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada sektor pertanian tanaman pangan. Komoditas tanaman pangan di Kabupaten Deli Serdang mengalami suplus yaitu padi, jagung dan ubi kayu. Pengembangan kawasan wilayah dengan basis sektor pertanian (agropolitan) yang baik akan berdampak pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Namun pengembangan agropolitan tanaman pangan di Kabupaten Deli Serdang belum berjalan dengan optimal, hal ini ditandai dengan masih adanya peningkatan kemiskinan di Kabupaten Deli Serdang dari tahun 2019 s.d. tahun 2021 sebesar 0,13%. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor pengembangan agropolitan serta menyusun arahan dan strategi dalam mengembangkan kawasan agropolitan di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Data yang dibutuhkan data primer dan data sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, kuisioner dan penelaahan data sekunder. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan analisis Delphi dan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapatnya faktor-faktor pengembangan yang belum dapat berjalan dengan optimal seperti kurangnya tenaga kerja yang kompeten, belum meratanya cakupan layanan sarana telekomunikasi dan sumber daya manusia yang profesional. Dibutuhkannya arahan dan strategi pengembangan kawasan agropolitan dengan menggerakkan Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Deli Serdang untuk memberikan sosialisasi, pelatihan dan penyuluhan kepada petani, penyuluh, aparat dan masyarakat terkait dengan pengembangan kawasan agropolitan

Abstract

This research was sparked from the diversity of research results regarding gender equality in the accounting profession. Many studies have concluded that equality between women and men especially in the accounting profession. On the other hand, there are also many studies that find that gender discrimination against female accountants is still rife. Based on this fact, this research expands the study of gender equality within the scope of vocational education by combining quantitative studies through measuring the perceptions or beliefs of female academic accountants using the Career Pathways Survey (CPS) and qualitative methods using phenomenological approach. The results of a survey of 50 female and an empirical study of 5 of them resulted in findings that gender equality has not been fully realized. The “voice” of female is divided into two parts: women who feel gender equality and women who experience gender discrimination. The reality arises from the organizational environment but cannot be separated from internal influences. Female academic accountants feel that feminist stereotypes are indeed “decent” to limit their career development steps. On the other hand, female academic accountants in polytechnic circles who are classified as advanced state that there is no difference in treatment between women and men.

Abstract

Taxes play an important role in increasing Indonesia's economic growth which is indicated by 82.85% of funds for the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget originating from state tax revenues. The Directorate General of Taxes as the most important institution in Indonesia issued an e-filing tax administration system (Electronic Filing System). DGT is assisted by ASP in implementing e-filing to facilitate tax services to taxpayers. However, ASP's e-filing portal continues to decline, this attracts the author's attention to examine the existence of ASP's e-filing in the next few years. This study aims to find out the gaps in future application development so that it becomes an opportunity for e-filing taxes which Application Service Providers compare to e-filing at the Directorate General of Taxes. The research method used interviews. The results of this research indicate that the opportunity for ASPs e-filing is high for the next few years, this is indicated by the consultants who continue to use ASPs e-filing because there are several advantages of ASP's e-filing that DGT does not have.

Abstract

The government has always been the largest spending agency in many countries, and this means a lot opportunities for government procurement fraud. Failure to implement robust measures against fraud prevention can lead to financial loss and bad reputation. Therefore, there is an urgent need for extensive studies to understand the factors that can contribute to fraud prevention strategies among government agencies. This paper examines two factors that may promote procurement fraud prevention among government agencies in Palembang City. The two factors are and internal control system and competency of government apparatus. Questionnaires were distributed to 50 government units from the procurement actors. Data were thoroughly analysed using multiple regression analysis with the SPSS analysis tool. The finding showed that prevention of procurement fraud programs was influenced by competency of government apparatus and internal control system. This study contributes to support in confirming the critical role of the internal control system and competency of government apparatus in enhancing fraud mitigation mechanisms. However, partially competency of government apparatus did not influence the prevention of fraud. Keywords: fraud, procurement, government, internal control, competency

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah sarana dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia dan guru merupakan pilar dari terlaksananya pendidikan di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran organizational citizenship behavior yang ada di lingkup sekolah serta mengetahui manfaatnya terhadap keberlangsungan organisasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan tinjauan literatur terkait organizational citizenship behavior pada guru di sekolah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui basis data elektronik Google Scholar dan Science Direct. Terdapat 425 artikel yang ditemukan dari hasil pencarian pada laman tersebut. Setelah melakukan screening dan review berdasarkan kriteria inklusif dan eksklusif, diperoleh 10 literatur yang disintesis pada tinjauan literatur ini. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, diketahui bahwa organizational citizenship behavior memiliki manfaat untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan produktivitas dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi sehingga penting untuk meningkatkan organizational citizenship behavior pada guru di sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

One of the supporting efforts in the tourism sector is the culinary business because it can attract tourists to visit a tourist destination. In this regard, consumption, especially of local or traditional foods and beverages from a region, is seen as food with cultural values. Food is both a physical need and a cultural and social activity. Therefore, the objective of this research involves the role of gender as a moderation factor in the intention to consume traditional foods, considering factors such as attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior. This study involves students as tourist participants who prefer culinary tourism destinations they have visited. The research employs Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis, utilizing Amos in this study. The research findings indicate that the moderating role of gender shows that gender does not moderate attitudes and subjective norms concerning the intention to consume traditional foods. However, it moderates perceived behavior regarding the intention to consume traditional foods.

Abstract

Pelaporan keberlanjutan telah banyak diadopsi oleh perusahaan-perusahaan di seluruh dunia. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perlunya pemangku kepentingan untuk lebih transparan dalam permasalahan lingkungan, sosial, dan tata kelola. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengungkap fenomena penelitian terapan dalam konteks kajian pelaporan keberlanjutan dan akuntansi hijau. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur sistematis, yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: merencanakan proses tinjauan, melaksanakan proses tinjauan, dan melaporkan serta mensosialisasikan hasil tinjauan. Penelitian ini mereview 10 artikel ilmiah dari jurnal terindeks Scopus Q1 dan Q2. Fenomena penelitian mengenai pelaporan keberlanjutan dan akuntansi hijau menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dianalisis dengan model regresi, pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis konten, dan kombinasi pendekatan kualitatif-kuantitatif. Beberapa penelitian menggunakan teknik benchmarking-scoring dan paradigma interpretasi fenomenologis. Penelitian terapan mengenai pelaporan keberlanjutan dan akuntansi hijau di masa depan disarankan menggunakan pendekatan campuran kualitatif-kuantitatif, serta pendekatan penelitian pengembangan (R&D).
